Established Relationship
PICTURES ARE NOT MINE
—————————————————————
“You want me to do what?” Peter laughed
“I’m serious!” You said
“I’m sure you are, honey.” Peter grinned at you
“So..will you?” You asked, hopeful
Peter ran a hand through his brown hair with a sigh, “I just told a reporter last night that I wasn’t going to do it.”
“So, say that you changed your mind!” You offered
Peter looked at you with an amused smile, “You really want me to do this tree lighting that bad, huh?”
You nodded bashfully, “I just..think it would add something nice to the season. For everyone!” You added
Peter grinned and pulled you in so that he could put a hard kiss on your cheek. Pulling back he rested his forehead on yours.
“You’re adorable, Y’know that.” Peter said
“You tell me all the time.” You said, quietly
“Mm, as I should.” He pulled you into a kiss
When he retracted from you, your lips followed his and he laughed.
“I gotta get home before Aunt May comes to check on me.” He nodded towards your bedroom window.
“Goodbye kiss?” You asked
Peter answered you with what you desired.
————————————
“Did you ask Gwen to pester me about the tree lighting too?” Peter asked, walking into your apartment kitchen with his phone out.
“No.” You answered, honestly, leaning against the counter.
“Well,” Peter began wrapping an arm around your shoulders to pull you close to his chest, “now Gwen is texting me about the tree lighting too.”
You laid your head on his chest and giggled.
“First, my girlfriend, and now my best friend. When will it stop?” Peter complained jokingly
“After we get Harry and Felicia in on it too.” You answered, giggling
Peter pinched your side teasingly.
“Yes, we’ll, I’ll definitely be outnumbered by then.” Peter chuckled
“You already are.” You laughed, “The entirety of New York wants you to do this.”
Peter hummed in agreement, “True.” He mumbled
You only grinned.
“What do you get out of this exactly?” Your boyfriend asked
“I get to see you struggle with the lights.” You giggled
Peter snorted, “I’m Spider-man! I fight villains on a daily basis, I'm not gonna struggle with Christmas lights.”
“Then prove it.”
“I guess I am cornered.” Peter considered.
Out of nowhere he picked you up causing you to let out a yelp of surprise.
“Well,” Peter laughed, “first things first, we have to find you the perfect spot to watch me expertly,” he emphasized, “light that tree.”
———————————
True to his word, Peter found you the best spot.
You were currently rewatching the video that the news got of Peter-Spider-man- telling a reporter that he changed his mind about lighting the tree.
“Are you warm enough?” Peter asked while wrapping a scarf around your neck.
“Yep.” You confirmed
A knock on the door caught your attention.
“Are we expecting company?” Peter asked, zipping up his jacket to hide the spidey suit.
“Actually, we were.” You said, walking over to the door.
Gwen’s grinning face met the two of you on the other side. Followed by Felicia, Harry and Miles.
A chorus of greetings made their way into their apartment.
“Are all of you planning on watching me light this tree?” Peter asked
“I think most of America is watching you light this tree, Pete.” Harry said, very unbothered.
“I already told them where we’re planning to watch.” You added
“I’ve got a limo waiting downstairs.” Harry winked
“A real limo too!” Miles said excitedly
“We’re going by limo?” Peter asked
“No, Harry’s going by limo. I’ll get there on my own and so should you, Peter.” Felicia said
“Peters taking me.” You commented
“I could swing over as well.” Miles shrugged
“Well, I can’t swing so I’m taking the limo.” Gwen said
“We’ll meet you there.” Harry said, as he and Gwen walked out the door.
———————————————
“You ready, Pete?” Miles asked as he got comfortable on the roof.
“Course.” The brunette responded.
“Good luck, Peter.” Felicia called
“Don’t fall on the stage.” Gwen teased
“And don’t make us look bad.” Harry added
Your boyfriend scoffed and shook his head.
He looked towards you with a teasing expectant look. You hopped up from your spot and wrapped your arms around his tight.
He squeezed you tighter and placed a bunch of kisses on your cheek and neck, causing you to giggle.
“Get a room you two!” Harry yelled
Peter sends him a glare with no real anger in it.
“Wish me luck.” Peter says so only you could hear you.
“Good luck.” You say with one more kiss.
“See ya guys!” Peter called the rest of your friends.
——————————————
Apparently, Harry brought his laptop with him so all of you could see Peter better.
You giggled as you watched Peter talk to the celebrity announcer.
You all laughed even more as Peter did fumble with the lights after a worker handed them to him and asked him to wrap them around the tree.
“3……”
“2……”
“1……”
“Happy Holidays!”
The crowd shouted as Peter pressed the button to light the tree.
——————————————
“How’d I do?” Peter asked excitedly as he got back to you.
“Amazing! It was great!” You laughed, throwing your arms around him.
“Did you like it?” Peter asked you
“Loved it!” You pressed a bunch of kisses to his cheeks.
“I’m glad.” He pressed a hard kiss to your mouth.
“Alright, Felicia brought a million plates of hot food to my place-“
“Yes! I forgot about that.” Felicia interrupted
“Some warm food sounds good to me.” Mile’s commented
“Food?” Peter asked
“Food.” You agreed

PICTURES DO NOT BELONG TO ME
“And just what do you think you are doing?”
Your body freezes in surprise, your mind going haywire with an unholy amount of cuss words.
You turn your head to see your roommate with her hands on her hips, looking like an angry mother. At this moment you think you would’ve preferred your actual mother to be angry at you.
“I wanted some water.” You mumbled lamely, not meeting your friends' eyes.
You hear Poppy scoff and her angry footsteps moving towards you. “And you couldn’t have asked for it?” She said while wrapping one of her arms around your waist.
“Pomona! Come help me please!” Poppy called
You heard some feet moving then saw Pomona emerge from her cubby in your dorm. When she saw you on your feet her eyebrows raised, “She’s up again?”
“Yes, now come help me please.” Poppy gestured to you
“You guys know I'm right here, correct?” You say earning a glare from Poppy, silencing you.
Pomona made her way over to your other side and the both of them helped you back to your bed.
“Thanks.” You mumbled, before hissing as your leg moved causing a sharp pain to rise within your ankle.
Poppy sighed, “Mona, can you get the ointment by the water chug please?”
You saw your red-headed friend nod and walk away.
“It's fine,” You winced, “Truly.”
Poppy’s mouth thinned, but she didn’t make any comments.
“Here you are, Pops.” Pomona emerged once more with an ointment in her hands
Poppy mumbled a thanks as she began to unwrap the bandage that was wrapped around your, once broken, but still bruised ankle.
“Careful.” You hissed, your ankle trembling in pain
“Sorry, I'm sorry!” Poppy said rubbing some of the cool ointment on your ankle.
You sighed in relief and leaned back against your pillow, “Thanks, Poppy.”
Poppy put the cap back onto the bottle of ointment but was still shaking her head, “Why you insist on riding on those blasted things always puzzles me.”
“Brooms?” You questioned
“Of course! I mean the game itself is dangerous on its own, how they allow it to be played at a school is ridiculous!” Poppy ranted angrily
“Quidditch is fun.” You answer
“Getting hurt is fun to you? You got blasted off your broom at your last game, and you still want to play?” Poppy asked
“Well getting hurt isn’t fun, obviously, but the adrenaline rush of it all is. Besides, all sports are dangerous in some ways.” You say
“Yes, getting attacked by a magically induced, prone. to. injure…ball is so much fun.”
“The medi-witch already fixed my broken ankle, and the bruising will stop by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.” You answer
“It would heal a lot faster if you stayed in your bed.” Pomona spoke. You shot her a look as if to say, ‘Whose side are you on?’. She shrugged in return.
“Mona is quite right. Don’t deny it.” Poppy shot you a look
“You treat me as if I'm acting like Minnie after her latest quidditch injury.” You point out, causing Poppy to flush pink.
“If you were acting like Minerva was, we would be having an entirely different conversation.” Poppy said
“Yes, yes.” You mumble under your breath annoyed
“It’s getting late.” Mona pointed out
Poppy nodded, then looked at you, “Try to get some sleep please.”
The three of you bid your ‘good nights’ and you made yourself comfortable without putting weight on your ankle.
Poppy was right, she always was when it came to injuries. But you weren’t going to admit that. Not tonight.

“You don’t know these people. They don’t know you.”
“Even if you were ever to be in the same room again, you wouldn’t recognize each other.”

He doesn’t care if it’s an important event you are his #1 priority

Sometimes he just whispers to you while in public events about nonsense just to distract you or to make you smile
Doesn’t give a fuck who sees the two of you (unless it puts you in danger)
If you’re insecure about other people finding him attractive he’d probably make out with you in front of them just to remind you that you’re the only one he cares about

Ashlynn Ella and Briar Beauty Headcanons
Ever After High Masterlist
Warning: Some topics might be triggering
Mentions of; panic attacks, Hyperventilating, and more
Since Ashlynn was a little girl she dreamed every night for her happily ever after
Romance quickly became her favorite genre
Pansexual, she doesn’t care for gender, she just wants someone who loves her for who she is
When she was really young she spent most of her time outdoors
She’d run around barefoot and bring things she found interesting to her mother
She always liked how the rough ground felt on her feet for some reason
But when she was old enough to recognize the judging looks people would send her she stopped going at as much
Or at least where people could see her
Her mother was often busy with royal duties so while her mother could only sit outside with Ashlynn, she couldn’t play with her
So Ashlynn occupied herself by finding new animals or plants
She learned to adore a lot of her wilderness friends and was so honored to be invited into their games
She also adores flowy things
Ashlynn hates tight clothing
Her closet being full of nice flowy dresses, shirts, skirts, pants, etc.
She doesn’t mind tight shoes though
She feels they keep her grounded in her High imagination
Ashlynn went to balls a lot as a kid and loved seeing all the flowy gowns and the way the dancers moved
Her favorite was always the ballet dancers
But when she tried to do ballet and quickly realized how uncomfortable her feet were, she stopped
Because while her other shoes might be a bit uncomfortable, ballet shoes were so much worse
She cried all night when she gave up ballet because it was just too much for her
But her mother quickly enrolled her in other dancing classes
She quickly loved ballroom dancing, waltzing, and even began to do figure skating
She adores both winter and summer
Summer because of all the beautiful flowers and animals
Winter because she can figure skate in the big lake by her castle and the romantic ideas of cuddling by the fire
She probably expects very highly of herself but nowhere near Apple
She’s the therapist friend
Sweet>Salty
Briar Beauty
Briar prefers tighter clothes
It’s kind of a reminder that she is awake
Bisexual (pref for girls)
The reason she falls asleep randomly is because she is sleep deprived
She has and will do some unhealthy things if it means staying awake
When she learned that a spinner was the reason for her long slumber, she was only seven and it scared her so bad
She would start hyperventilating at the sight of the needle
She’s had SO many nightmares in her life
Briar was given a therapist very young to try and accept her destiny
It didn’t really help
A lot of the reasons she tries to be bold and out their is because she hopes that just maybe someone will know who she is in 100 years
Has totally done something random like cut off all of hair on a whim
Once she finally believed she wouldn’t have to sleep for 100 years she had to go back and kind of figure out who she wanted to be rather than who she felt she had to be, in order to be known
Ashlynn was definitely there trying to help Briar figure out a healthy sleep schedule
It was very difficult for Briar for a long time because she would wake up drenched in sweat
She’d panic because she thought she had slept for 100 years
Briar has probably woken up in panic attacks before
The thought still plagues her
She wants to try so many things but gets bored of things quickly because she thinks she has to try everything
Salty>Sweet
The thought of love made her so nervous because she was worried she’d lose everyone
She loves strong floral scents
But cannot keep a plant alive to save her sleep schedule
Coffee, coffee, coffee.
She was probably in a relationship with Melody Piper at some point
Loves mixing edgy with feminine
Also has really learned to love to express herself through makeup and hair
Poor girl had a hard childhood and has a really hard relationship with sleep
She is getting better but that fear wills always be present
Hiccup Haddock Masterlist

Summary: When on a mission that goes wrong, you get captured by dragon hunters.
Warnings: Weapons, Explosions, Kidnapping, Knives, Threatening, Cursing, Poison, Possible dehydration
Notes;
PICTURE ARE NOT MINE
——————————————
It was windy this evening. But you suppose that might be because you’re riding on the back of a dragon.
Your eyes were cast on the water below. Whispers about effective dragon traps being sold to hunters had gotten to Dragons Edge.
Hiccup decided that the group should check it out.
You had heard from some hunters that the shipments of weapons were around this area.
“Hiccup there’s nothing around here!” Astrid shouted from the back of Stormfly
“Keep looking! We can’t risk missing it!” Hiccup called back
You sighed, you’d been out for hours. All you could think about was dinner and your warm bed back on the edge.
“Are we sure that hunter was telling the truth? He could’ve given us random coordinates just so we’d let him go.” Tuffnut pointed out
“Yeah, we might just be wasting our time.” Ruffnut agreed
“We have to be sure.” Hiccup answered
You scanned the steady waters before casting your glances upward. The sky was pretty clear when you had left. Now it was dark, it looked like it was going to storm.
“Hiccup, maybe we should head back before it storms.” You shouted
Hiccup looked back at you, then maneuvered Toothless so the two of you were flying side by side.
“We will. But we have to keep looking.” He responded
“We’ve been looking for hours, Hiccup. Maybe it’s time to go home.” You replied
Hiccup sighed, looking at Toothless below him, he was clearly in thought.
He turned his head toward you to speak but was cut off by a shout.
“There!” Fishlegs shouted
Sure enough, a large ship was in sight. It was a little ways away but with the speed of your dragons you were sure to come in contact with it soon.
“Come on!” Hiccup shouted and dived down closer to the water.
The rest of you followed. The cold air hits your face in cold stabs. You closed your eyes for a moment, the air had caused your eyes to water.
You opened your eyes when you felt your dragon straighten out, becoming parallel with the water below.
“Astrid, Snotlout, attack from the sides. Ruff, Tuff, ring of fire!” Hiccup instructed
The twins shouted with glee, eagerly flying Barf and Belch around the ship to complete their task.
“Fishlegs, scout the area for the traps.” Hiccup looked at you, “We’ll attack from above.”
You nodded, signaling your dragon to follow Toothless.
Arrows with dragon root were already being shot into the air by the time you hovered above the ship. Your dragon expertly dodged all of them.
The ship rocked from the explosion the twins had made.
You expected it to begin to sink but it didn’t.
“Hiccup, it's dragon proof!” Astrid shouted, frustration laced in her voice.
“There aren’t any signs of the traps either!” Fishlegs flew up towards the two of you.
Hiccup groaned in annoyance.
Snotlout took that moment to speak his thoughts, “Well, now that those plans failed, I say we put my plan into play. Fire blazing attack. Snotlout!” Snotlout and Hookfang dived towards the ship.
“No!” Hiccup yelled but it was lost with the wind.
“Yeah!” “Woohoo!” The twins yelled following Snotlout
Hiccup tightened his hands on the reins, “Toothless, dive!”
You, Astrid, and Fishlegs followed after him.
Your dragon's tail whipped out, knocking an arrow from its path to Stormfly.
Astrid sent you a grateful nod.
The blonde yelled and jumped off Stormfly, ax in her hands.
Stormfly hovered in the air loyally, protecting Astrid from above.
“Down.” You said to your dragon
Your dragon landed on the deck of the ship, protecting your back as you pulled your knife out of your pocket, ready to kick some dragon hunter ass.
“Help!” Snotlout shrieked, he and Hookfang were caught in a net.
“There!” You shouted, your dragon blew fire at the net.
Only to reveal it was dragon proof.
You cursed under your breath, mounting your dragon.
Your dragon used its feet to try and lift it, but it was too heavy.
“A little help!” You yelled a little panicked
“A little busy. Gosh, doesn’t anyone respect the art of the fight.” You heard Tuffnut say
“I’m coming!” Fishlegs said
The two of you tried lifting the net but it was still too heavy.
“I’m here.” Astrid came over.
The three of you were able to lift the net up long enough for Hookfang and Snotlout to get out.
“We had it handled.” Snotlout said once they were in the air
You rolled your eyes but dived back down.
Hiccup and Toothless were corned by a group of hunters. Your dragon sent a blast, knocking the hunters out the way, and creating a path for Toothless and Hiccup.
The rain started coming down heavily.
The clouds were dark and it was hard to see anything other than your dragon blast.
Which is why you didn’t see a hunter cut a rope till a dragon proof cage fell down, trapping Hiccup and Toothless.
“Drop me here.” You instructed your dragon. You hopped off its back and pulled out your blade once more.
You punched the first hunter you came in contact with, knocking him out. You searched through his jacket hoping to find the key to the cage.
Your dragon roared, alerting you of the hunter that was running towards you. You dodged his attack. You turned ready to fight, just to notice he had knocked himself out by accidentally banging his head on a wooden pole while grabbing for you.
You repeated your process, but still no key.
You heard a deep chuckle and saw a hunter aiming an arrow at the twins.
You tackled him to the floor. His large hands trying to push you off so he could run away.
You noticed the keys at the last second, grabbing them from his belt without him noticing as he ran for shelter. Only to be stopped by a blast from Hookfang.
You rushed over to Hiccup and Toothless, quickly letting them out.
“It must have been a trap.” Hiccup said, “Get in the air, quick!” He shouted, mounting Toothless and flying upward.
You looked around but you couldn’t spot your dragon with the rain. You could hear them, but you couldn’t see them.
You looked back toward where Hiccup had been but he too was gone.
They were still here, you could hear them, even over the sound of the pouring rain, you could hear them.
Before you could call for your dragon, a firm grip grasped your wrist, the one with the bad that was holding your knife, and they turned it, hard.
You shrieked in pain.
You could hear your dragon call out in worry after hearing your pain. But they couldn’t get to you with all the arrows.
After an arrow narrowly missed their eye you had had enough.
“Go! Go with the others!” You shouted but your dragon didn’t move, “Go, there’s nothing you can do for me right now!” Your dragon roared regretfully.
The hunter holding you placed their hand over your mouth.
“Stay still pretty.” The hunter whispered
Angered, you bit down on his hand.
The hunter staggered back in pain. You tried to make a run for it, but you had already been surrounded by armed hunters.
You placed your hands up in defeat. You couldn’t fight ten to twelve hunters by yourself.
You thought they were just going to tie your wrists when a hand came from behind you, placing a cloth over your mouth.
You gasped in surprise.
Soon, your vision was fading, and you couldn’t tell the difference between the rain and your pounding heart.
————————
You coughed, again, and again, until you were fully conscious.
“Quiet brother, our guest has awakened.” A frighteningly familiar voice said
You looked up in shock. Sure enough it was Viggo with Ryker standing threateningly behind him.
“Sleep well?” Viggo asked faux kindness
You only glared back.
Viggo shrugged, unphased, “Fair enough.” He muttered
“I say we slit her throat.” Ryker said
You shivered involuntarily in fear.
Viggo sighed, clearly annoyed, “I’ve told you this big brother, we need her alive for this to work.”
“Just tell the dragon riders that she is alive.” Ryker said
Viggo shook his head, looking like a disappointed father, “Hiccup is too smart for that. We need her alive and well. Now…” He turned to look at you, his expression changing back to the faux friendliness, “Is there anything you’d like to share with us?” He asked
You glared in return, partly because you wanted to annoy them, and partly because your throat ached.
Viggo sighed, disappointed but not surprised, “Very well, throw her in a cell till we reach land.”
Two lower ranking guards nodded and picked you up, one of them on each arm.
You went to stand as they began moving but collapsed.
Viggo looked at you, again unsurprised, “I probably should’ve mentioned that you won’t be able to walk properly for a little while. Some side effects of the poison.”
Your eyes widened but he didn’t cast a second glance at you.
The guards dragged you downstairs and threw you into a dragon proof cell.
You looked around and saw that there were dragons in the other cells.
None the same type as your dragon, but there was a deadly nadder, which reminded you of Astrid and Stormfly. A couple gronckles too, which made you think of Fishlegs and Meatlug.
Astrid would’ve come up with a plan to get you out of here. She would’ve been able to take out the guards no problem.
Fishlegs would’ve known what they gave you. He would’ve known what to use to heal you.
The twins would’ve talked about something stupid and come up with jokes during inappropriate times that would’ve made you want to laugh.
Snotlout would’ve complained about being trapped. He would name all of his favorite things and complain that he’d never get to do them again. He might’ve even sung some of the lullaby’s his mother used to sing to him.
And Hiccup…oh how you wish Hiccup was here. You didn’t want to be alone. Surrounded by enemies and dragons that wanted nothing to do with you. Hiccup would’ve tried to befriend the dragons so they could both escape.
You didn’t have the energy for that though. You were tired. You were so tired. Your head hurts. The wooden walls of the ship were extremely uncomfortable but they were all you had.
You wanted your dragon, or your friends. You wanted Hiccup. He’d convince you that everything would be okay, even if they weren’t.
But you were all alone.
————————————
You were awakened by the sound of metal banging.
One of the hunters was banging his ax against the bars of your cell. He was grinning.
You clenched your teeth, wanting nothing more than to knock out his teeth.
“Wakey wakey.” He said, waving his ax as if he was greeting you with a wave of the hand.
You growled under your breath in annoyance.
“Ryker said to take you above deck.” The man said, using his keys to unlock your cell.
The dragons around you roared in protest.
“Oh shut up you stupid lizards!” The man yelled
You clenched your teeth. One, he needed to be punched, preferably by you. Two, the loud noises were not helping your headache.
The hunter yanked you up by your arm, causing you to gasp in pain.
“Whoops, did I hurt you.” He laughed
You considered trying to trip him, but then shut down the idea knowing if he went down you went down with him.
Your legs dragged on the floor through the lower deck and the steps were worse.
The hunter grumbled because he had to practically carry you up.
The feeling of the sun was the same as running head first into a tree.
You could barely keep your eyes open.
“Oh, looks who’s awake.” Ryker said, “You, take her down to the tent next to Viggos. Tie her to the bedpost and leave.”
You guessed he was addressing the hunter that was currently yanking you around because suddenly you were being dragged down a ramp.
Again, not good, not good at all.
You heard the sound of fabric being moved and the sun wasn’t as bright behind your eyes, so you assumed you were now in said tent.
You opened up and sure enough, you were right.
The guard used some rope to tie one of your wrists to the bedpost. He made sure to do it extra tight.
You fought the urge to cry out as you felt the rope dig into your skin.
The hunter sneered at the sight of you helpless, but followed his orders and walked out without a word.
You rested your head on the bed. You felt like you had been thrown off a mountain.
A few moments later you heard the tent open, for a moment you wondered if it was Viggo. And the hopeful side of you hoped it was one of your friends.
It was neither. This time, it was a different hunter. He was carrying a plate of plate in one hand and a cup with what you assumed was water in the other.
You wondered if he wanted you to watch him eat. Or if Viggo had sent him to make you watch him eat.
“Viggo says you should eat.” The hunter said
Of course. “Alive and well.” Viggo had said.
Hiccup wouldn’t be happy to find out they had starved you. Then again he probably wasn’t happy they kidnapped you either.
As the hunter walked back out you peered at your food.
It was a well served plate. Plenty of food to eat, and it looked good as well. It smelled good too.
But looking at it made you nauseous. So you decided against eating.
You reached for the cup of water, as you wrapped your hands around it a loud sound could be heard from outside your tent. You jumped in surprise and your water spilled, with barely a couple drops of water left in your cup.
You wanted to cry out in frustration.
You once again hoped for your friends to be on the other side of the tent but once again you were disappointed to hear Ryker shouting at some men for dropping something.
You sighed, laying your head back once more in hope to sleep until your friends got here.
———————-
“-up. Wake up!” A voice shouted
You jumped, opening your eyes to see Ryker in front of you with an impatient expression.
“Lucky you, your friends have come to save you.” He said
He hauled you up and you were dragged out into an open field.
The sun had mostly gone down, the sky was dark. Thankfully you could keep your eyes open now without a headache.
Walking further you could make out Viggos back, getting closer you could finally make them out. The dragon riders, your friends, stood together, with Hiccup at the front.
Oh you could cry in joy.
You heard a familiar roar. Your dragon was here too. Hovering above and looking straight at you.
Your dragon had announced your presence as all your friends looked over to you at once.
Some looked shocked, others relieved, some angry. A couple had a mixture.
Hiccup called out your name and stepped forward but Viggo held up his hand and stepped to the side in front of you. Viggo blocked your view from Hiccup and in turn blocked Hiccup's view to you.
“I’m a businessman Hiccup. One does not make these types of transactions without getting something in return.” Viggo said
“What do you want Viggo?” Hiccup asked, he sounded very frustrated.
“I want the papers you stole from me. Do you have them?”
Hiccup didn’t answer for a moment but seeing the back of Viggos head nod you assumed that Hiccup did have them.
You heard the sound of a buckle and some footsteps. You saw Viggos hand reach out but it stopped midway.
“One doesn’t make a trade without getting something in return.” Hiccup said
Viggo chuckled in amusement, “Yes yes. Big brother.”
Ryker walked forward with you. When you could see Hiccup again you could make out the stress in his posture and the worry in his eyes. You tried to smile but it probably didn’t look right.
“Do we have a deal?” Viggo asked
Hiccup sighed, “We have a deal.” He outstretched his hand with the pieces of parchment.
Viggo took them, opened them, scanned them, then nodded toward Ryker.
Ryker pushed you forward and Hiccup caught you.
Your face was against his chest and you breathed in his scent.
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” Hiccup tried to sooth you.
“What did you do to her?” Fishlegs cried
“Relax. It’s simply a side effect of the poison.” Viggo answered
You heard a collected gasp from your friends.
“You poisoned her!” Snotlout yelled
“You monster!” Fishlegs said
“How dare you!” Astrid screamed
“Not cool, dude.” Tuffnut said
“So, not cool.” Ruffnut agreed
“It’s a common poison, I assure you. I’m sure you’ll be able to heal her just fine.” Viggo said, unphased
“We better.” Hiccup threatened
“Farewell, dragon riders. I’m sure we will see each other very soon.” Viggo said
Hiccup, and you guessed Astrid helped you walk over to Toothless. There was no way you could fly your dragon, you knew that.
Astrid and Fishlegs helped you on to Toothless after Hiccup mounted.
Your back rested against Hiccup's chest. His arms come around your waist to hold onto the reins.
“We’ll be home soon enough.” Hiccup whispered
That was the last thing you heard before you fell asleep.
——————————-
The next morning was odd.
Like waking up after a dream kind of odd.
You realized that a damp cloth rested on your forehead. You reached up to grab it when a hand, gently this time, grabbed your wrist.
“Leave it be. It’s meant to help you.” A voice muttered
“Hiccup.” You rasped
“Hey, yeah, it’s me.” Hiccup said, placing his hand over yours.
You heard a quiet grumble.
Hiccup looked over his shoulder, “And these guys too.”
Looking over, Toothless and your dragon were watching the two of you closely.
“Hey guys.” You said weakly
Your dragon walked over to you carefully. They gently rubbed their head against yours.
“I missed you too.” You whispered
“She’s awake!” Another voice said
You grimaced at how loud they were speaking.
“Sorry.” You heard them say
Fishlegs and Meatlug were walking toward you.
Hiccup moved from the chair he was sitting on so Fishlegs could get a better look at you.
Fishlegs examined you for a few moments before asking, “How do you feel?”
“Better.” You responded, “Thank you.”
“Of course.” Fishlegs replied
You looked toward Meatlug, “What’s the final judgment, doc?”
Meatlug grumbled something and Fishlegs translated, “She said you’ll make a full recovery.”
“Thank the gods, you’re alright.” A new voice said
Astrid made her way into view and smiled down at you.
“You really had us worried, you know.” Astrid added
“Not me though.” Snotlout added in
Everyone glared at him and he went quiet.
“She’s awake?” Tuffnut asked
“Of course she’s awake, look at her!” Ruff replied, “Have you ever seen someone sleep with their eyes open?”
Tuff went into his thinking face, “Well, there was this one time we were at…”
Hiccup made his way back over to you and grabbed your hand.
“Perhaps we should go.” Astrid said
“I agree.” Fishlegs said
“What? But we just got here!” Ruff said
“Yeah! She’s our friend too, why does Hiccup get to hog her?” Tuff added in
Astrid grabbed both of them by the shoulders and walked them out, Fishlegs and Snotlout following behind. Not before Snotlout sent a disgusted look towards the two of you though.
Hiccup sent a look toward the dragons, a silent request, and they too left.
“Thank you for coming back for me.” You whispered
“You didn’t think we were gonna leave you there, did you?” Hiccup chuckled
You smiled, “I knew you would come back for me.”
Hiccup smiled too, “I would never not come back for you.”

Is it odd to be jealous of a cat?
Maybe, but you’re sure you aren’t the first.
Atticus, an unknown breed of cat that had followed Daphne back to Hogwarts after a Hogsmeade trip in her fifth year. He was a sweet cat if he wanted to be. But normally he didn’t want anything to do with anyone except Daphne.
Which made it difficult when you had to take him for holiday breaks.
Daphne and Astorias parents were quite strict. They would’ve noticed Atticus the second Daphne had stepped into their home.
Which Daphne always laughed about because they only ‘gave a damn’ if their daughters did something wrong. Every other time they were treated like ornaments.
So, you had tasked yourself with taking care of her darling cat every break. Not that the cat was ever willing.
It was one of the many sighs of relief when you graduated from Hogwarts.
After a couple years you and Daphne moved in together. You were ecstatic about moving in with Daphne, but there were certainly some unexpectant challenges when it came to Atticus.
Like right now. You had gotten up to use the bathroom and the cat took your rightful place next Daphne. Curled up next to her like you once were.
You groaned in frustration. You were tired and didn’t want to have to deal with a needy cat.
You remind yourself that it’s your bed. Atticus has one of his own in Daphne's room. You shouldn’t feel bad, the cat gets to snuggle with Daphne almost as much as he wants. Yet, you do as you stride over to the bed with purpose.
You grab the cat gently but firmly so he doesn’t fall from your grip, and march over to Daphne's bedroom. The moment you picked him up he was making loud sounds of complaint. You tried to ignore it as you made down the familiar path towards Daphne's bedroom. You gently plopped the cat on his bed and cracked Daphne's bedroom door. Atticus would be able to get the door open and come running back to your room if he wished. You would just be back in bed before he got there.
When you plopped down on your bed and cozied yourself under the covers, you let out a sigh of victory.
“I could’ve sworn you were furrier.” Daphne hummed, in a sleep laced voice
“Yeah, whatever.” You muttered, snuggling closer to her.
She draped her arm over your waist lazily and peaked at you through hooded eyes, “If you’re jealous of my cat, you’re more than welcome to get your own.” She had a teasing smile on her face.
You murmured out something indecipherable as the warmth of your bed had already pulled you halfway into the depths of slumber.
———————————
Your home was filled with winter tunes. The noise came from your record player, which you insisted on playing despite Daphne's ignorance to the works of a record player.
Tonight, you were to dine with your family. Astoria and Daphne were also to attend.
Since neither girls were in contact with their parents, you opted to have both at your home.
While Astoria was ecstatic at being surrounded by your family, Daphne was less so. She was grateful for your offer, truly she was. But she enjoyed the solitude of your shared home much more.
That’s why, every year, you and Daphne have agreed that she will travel to your home before dinner, and stay for dessert, before the two of you re-enter the comfort of your home.
Daphne only really did it for you and Astoria.
The blonde had practically raised her younger sister herself, and since the brunette was the younger of the materialistic parents' children, she rarely ever was in conversation with her parents.
Daphne was the elder of the two. The crown jewel of the Greengrass name. Her reputation was everything to her parents.
She followed her parents orders to her own expense, only ever finding love and warmth from her younger sister, whom she taught love and kindness herself. Daphne always shielded Astoria as much as she could from her parents' cold souls. She made sure she followed her parents strict orders, only ever acting out in private, tutoring her when her grades were slipping below perfection, schooling her how to be a pretty picture with expert mannerisms without being the center of attention.
Daphne always knew that no matter how hard she tried Astoria had struggled from her parents neglectance and the strict rule of showing only false emotions, and mannerisms.
So, she tried to be better now, where they could no longer be reached by their parents' grasps.
Astoria had always adored and loved Daphne more than anyone. And when Daphne learned to love you, Astoria wasn’t long behind, coming to love you as a close friend and a person of guidance.
You were meant to leave your home soon. Picking and prodding at your attire so that you looked as you wished.
You could hear Daphne's footsteps from outside your bedroom before you could see her. Making eye-contact with her through your mirror (which was littered with many moving pictures of the two of you).
You turn, “How do I look?” You asked
One of the pros of being in a relationship with Daphne, is that she doesn’t beat around the bush. However, this could also turn into a con at times.
Her eyes raked over your frame, her eyes held admiration as she calculated her thoughts.
“You shouldn’t wear those shoes, they’re cheap and uncomfortable. I doubt any charm you used would be able to soften them. Wear the black ones I bought you, they’ll match your outfit brilliantly.” Daphne said
You nodded, she had a point, these shoes were wildly uncomfortable, but you liked the look of them.
You’d save them for a date night, you tell yourself.
Slipping on the shoes Daphne had gifted you not too long ago, your feet instantly felt much better.
“What time should I arrive?” Daphne quested, a few arrivals of clothing and jewelry floating behind her.
“Same time as last year, and the year before that.” You smiled
Daphne nodded, her expression stoic, as usual. Daphne was notorious for having a resting bitch face, your friends had once told you.
“What shall I wear?” Daphne asked thoughtfully, using her wand to move the floating possessions in front of you.
You examined the options before picking out the pieces you liked best.
Daphne nodded, she tapped her wand once and the attire was gone.
“Don’t miss me too much.” You joked, walking over to her for a goodbye kiss.
Daphne smiled softly, and allowed you to place a kiss on her cheek. She turned her head waiting expectantly for another kiss.
You kissed her lips, immediately wishing you weren’t to see your family soon. You would’ve preferred if you could spend all night kissing the blonde. Unfortunately, that wasn’t an option.
Daphne may hate social gatherings, but she hated not being punctual more. She believed that if you said you were going to be somewhere then you should be there.
“Don’t be long.” You begged breathlessly.
You stepped back, Daphne giving you a wink before you apparated to your parents home.
—————————————
You were always pleasantly surprised at the familiar scent of your childhood home.
The entirety of your past home was filled with family and friends, drinking, laughing, talking, and of course gossiping.
You’d had your fair share of family members come up to you to comment on ‘how you’ve grown’ or ‘how you look so beautiful’.
You tried to stay clear of the attendants you weren’t close with. Choosing to stick around those you were more fond of.
“So, how’s that girlfriend of yours?” Your grandma asked, patting your thigh affectionately.
As she’s aged she seems to forget more and more.
Your occupation, relationships, and recent travelings were always the topics.
“Daphne's good.” You said
“And what is she doing now?” You grandmother asked
“She’s a court scribe for the ministry.” You answered
Your grandmother nodded, but she doubted she heard you or even processed what you said.
You excuse yourself politely, making your way to the front door.
One tick, two ticks, three ticks…
A polite knock on the door.
You pulled it open, smiling brightly at the sight of your beautiful girlfriend dressed in the outfit you chose.
You said your greetings and then pulled her towards your parents.
“Oh, Daphne, how lovely to see you.” Your mother beamed at her.
“How’s work going?” Your father asked
Neither of your parents made a move to hug Daphne. They had learned throughout the years the two of you had been together that Daphne was not a hugging kind of person.
Daphne answered your parents' questions politely, only stopping when Astoria bounded over to the two of you.
“Daph, you’re here!” Astoria gave Daphne a one-armed hug
Your parents excused themselves politely, knowing this conversation was more wanted between the three of you.
“Yes, I am.” Daphne said quietly in a regretful tone.
Over the course of conversation Daphne wrapped her arm around you subconsciously.
“Rumor has it that you’re seeing someone.” You added
Astoria blushed.
Daphne looked quite shocked, “What?”
“It’s nothing serious.” Astoria reassured her sister, “At least, not right now.” She added quietly
“Since when were you seeing anyone?” Daphne asked
“Relax, Daph.” You whispered
Daphne sent you an incredulous look before turning to her sister expectantly.
“I think you’ll like him.” Astoria said, smiling, “Both of you.”
“Does that mean we can meet him?” You asked
“Not yet. But, soon.” Astoria promised
You elbowed Daphne.
Daphne sighed, “I’m happy for you. Truly, I am.”
Astoria grinned, “I know, Daph.”
Astoria excused herself to go help your mother.
“I think it’s nice.” You commented
“We’ll see.” Said Daphne.
——————————————
The two of you were to leave soon.
Dinner and dessert had been served and it had all been graciously enjoyed.
When games began you pulled Daphne out to sit outside.
“I’ll be right back!” You added, before rushing back into the house.
When you walked back outside, Daphne was sitting in the gazebo in your yard, she seemed to be examining the lights you had hung around it earlier that season.
Her head turned when she heard your footsteps.
She quickly noticed the thing in your hands and raised a brow.
“I was hoping..” you began, nervously, “You’d play for me.”
You handed her the Violin.
“Did you buy this ‘specially for me?” Daphne jokes
“It’s custom made. It’s..your present.” You said
Daphne looked up at you in surprise.
She looked down at the case that held her instrument, and opened it slowly.
The Violin was gorgeous. It matched Daphne's complete persona.
Daphne looked over it, delicately running her fingers along it.
“It’s..so lovely.” Daphne whispered, “Thank you.” She said even quieter.
She pulled the Violin out and placed the case delicately on the space beside her.
“Any song in particular?” She asked
Your heart sped up, “No.” you answered
Daphne stood, positioning the Violin so that she could play.
When Daphne had told you she could play, she mentioned she always played standing up.
You had never physically seen Daphne play, only heard it.
When Daphne hit the first string, you breath caught.
You’d heard both muggle and wizard music in your life. Both were unique and beautiful in their own ways.
Daphne put them both to shame in a matter of seconds.
The blondes eyes were closed as she let her muscle memory do all the work. You didn’t recognize the sound from her violin to be familiar.
Though, none of it mattered as the violins music became more frequent and the lights on the gazebo began to perform to the beat of Daphne's music.
The lights flickered, dimmed, and brightened as Daphne played.
You felt like you were in an alternate universe, being lulled to sleep by an angel.
You were positive that this tune would guide you for the rest of the week. As not only the sound soothed you but the picturesque scene of your breath-taking love.
