Yes it did receive appreciation for being a trendsetter of university setting in BLs but the criticisms on lack of intimacy is getting on my nerves.
First of all, the main focus seems to be on the senior-junior struggle with hazing and the characters' internal struggles. THE AIM WAS NOT FANSERVICE AT ALL.
With that being said, it is completely normal for them to NOT be all over each other on screen even in season 2. Portraying emotional intimacy is harder than physical & it's done beautifully. They are two boys trying to graduate and do well in their jobs, it's absurd for them to come home and be all energetic in bed.
The relationship is actually balanced in its own way. Arthit gets a lot of hate for not communicating enough. When it actually does not seem like the case. Because in s2 he tells Kong "We can normally talk about anything, right?" That actually shows they are close enough to have tough conversations without jeopardising their relationship. Arthit knows since s1 that Kong is a rich kid, only he never know who exactly his father was.
Moreover Arthit's introversion & mysteriousness is what seems to draw Kong to him. We see how possessive Kong is - he cannot stand anyone else knowing little details such as pink milk & Aioon. I bet he'd not like him if Arthit was an easily likeable popular extrovert. The fact that Arthit is visibly shy is enough for Kong. And the fact that Arthit does not say "I love you" or "You are my world" regularly is what makes his words more valuable. Because Kong knows that it means beyond the surface in a situation when he says it.
It's good that Arthit continues to be shy & silent even in s2. Because that shatters the most common misconception that people change. He himself says that he loves Kong regardless, and saying it everyday would only reduce its importance. (Also, he's shy & that's how he is. Kongpob can accept it so it's all good innit?) Despite taking a long time to deal with his inner struggles he always comes back. He doesn't go around announcing about his relationship, but he does not keep it a secret forever either.
And the fear of society is actually well portrayed. University & workplace is different. Your sexual orientation doesn't reflect on your academic reports, but it CAN reflect as workplace discrimination. We also see that Arthit slowly realises that nobody is gossiping like he imagined. That's how he learns how pointless his worries were.
There are other shattered stereotypes. Such as the owner's nephew being a hard worker unlike the general nepotism character. And Earth just taking her time to warm up instead of turning out to be the female villian.
With all this being said, the show has a balance of silly entertainment & realistic ish character growth, idk it's a hill I'm willing to die on kbye.
Ok I don’t have much thoughts on Victor and Yakov’s relationship and who Victor learnt this from but I feel like he learnt more by being more invested in how he presents himself. So when he choreographed for Yuri he had a vision and felt no one could style better than he himself. I feel like Victor always had neat parted hair that’s neatly falling on his forehead through the show and he’s always got this sass and charm which draws his fans to him.
But most of the anime shows Yuri’s struggle with self belief & how he learns to be more confident through Victor. So I think it’s reflected in how Yuri always has his hair down & it’s just free, not really gelled or styled unless he’s performing ? And i would like to think Victor brushing & gelling his hair before the show is more of a way to calm him down?
Victor too is on a journey of learning how to motivate his student & teach him to believe in his own abilities. Perhaps by gently brushing his hair he’s trying to calm down Yuri by telling him to breathe slowly and focus on feeling his touch on his hair? Maybe he’s saying some positive affirmations, or trying to divert Yuri’s attention? And also it’s best that Yuri is with him the whole time before the performance & let him do it rather than do it himself or be with a random stylist when his anxiety is at its peak.
Yuri and Victor hug or hold hands a lot to convey their feelings or support, so it is also probably his way of reassuring “Yuri, relax, I’m right here by your side” we also see Victor helping Yuri with his skates a lot before the show, and it feels like a way of constantly reminding Yuri “I’m here. Right here by your side. I’ll never let you go”
It could also be trust Yuri is putting in him? Like going “I’ll trust the vision you have for my costume”
At various points in the show we see that although Victor can be quite savage about practice or winning there are many subtle hints about him being soft for Yuri. Like the time he was patient when Yuri was refusing to tear down his walls, or how he was surprised & probably a bit relieved when he learnt Yuri had forgotten what he did when drunk at the banquet (no bcs he literally took a break to come hit on this man & after so so long learns Yuri has no memory of anything😂)
But overall to me this moment feels like something really soft these two have on their relationship be it as a couple or as student-coach.
So we see that Viktor is the one that does Yuuri’s hair (at least some of the time) because of that photo during the credits, and that makes me wonder, who does Yuri’s hair?? Braiding is somewhat difficult, especially so tightly and far up on the head, so it doesn’t make much sense for Yuri to do his own hair when he already needs to be concerned about competing.
I therefore propose two possibilities:
1.) Some of the time, it is Viktor that does it. He had long hair for quite a while and knows how to take care of it. He and Yuri know each other well. Yuri, for all of his grumbling, genuinely respects Viktor and his talents, as we see through his insistence that Viktor choreograph his program and return to Russia to coach him. I feel it’s quite reasonable that Viktor would be trusted to do his hair.
2.) It’s Yakov. Yakov, the old man with no children of his own, who pours his heart and soul into the skaters in his care. Viktor’s family is (at least to me) likely not in the picture, and Viktor grew up spending incredible amounts of time with his coach. Viktor is talkative and affectionate and his relationship with Yakov reveals quite a deep bond — Yakov may have been the one to style Viktor’s hair before competitions as there was no one else to do it for him. When Vitya leaves and he has another young skater to look after, it makes sense that these skills would transfer over. He’d be the one standing at Yuri’s back, carefully parting his hair into sections and ensuring he is presented as best as he can be. Viktor ties Yuuri’s skates as if preparing his soldier for battle — what if Yakov’s version is styling their hair?
as a shy introvert who not only joined but also worked hard to excel in public speaking events so that my crush notices (we didn't end up dating but whatever lol), just going to say that watching Tinn going out of his way for Gun hits different.

The safety pins
Both are instances when Kim is intruding other's rooms to find information. Therefore the "I'm a safe space" symbolism of safety pin doesn't stand here. Especially when Kim is breaking into the place where others keep their things safe.
It could probably mean Kim is poking his nose here like a pin 😂😂
The safety pin is holding 2 ends of the chain, so it could also mean he's trying to piece together all the clues & information he can lay his hands on.
Part 2
Part 3
Special
"You could get sick in my bed and I wouldn't even care. It might be a bit annoying to change the sheets but I wouldn't make you help."
So from ep4 (posting before ep5 releases) we can see that even Puen is passing off everything as "for the script" & is unwilling to take responsibility for his actions.
Meanwhile Talay likes it & hopes it was sincere. So now it's Puen who's not taking responsibility for making Talay like him.
Soft pink is often associated with feminine qualities such as nurturing and compassion. It is also symbolic of budding romance and falling in love. Which is precisely what both the boys are experiencing at this moment.
Pink also has negative connotations such as passivity and unwillingness to take matters seriously.
Puen refused to take responsibility of Pakorn's life until that eye opening conversation. On the other hand Talay is still in denial about Puen's obvious flirting.
Pink is also associated with timidity & inexperience. Both the leads claim to have never experienced dating. While Puen is letting his heart lead, Talay is acting timid & cautious, thereby caging it. He's neither taking responsibility for his own feelings nor for making Puen fall in love with him. 🥲
I think the best part of KinnPorsche, and it really comes to mind with this latest episode, is that every character thinks they’re in a different genre and it’s the funniest thing watching it clash with the reality.
Kinn is just living his best rom-com life where he falls for his sassy but kind assistant bodyguard that he can no longer live with out.
Porsche is basically a YA novel where he falls for his sexy morally ambiguous love interest who’s secretly sweet but *gasp* his past has come to haunt him!
Pete thinks he’s in a dark psychological thriller where he must battle his inner demons and brooding but hot captor to maintain his humanity but it threatens to over take him at any moment as he is torn between his newly found dark desires and the reputation he prides himself on.
Vegas acts like he’s in gothic bodice ripper novel where his entire world becomes the kind, empathic heroine Pete and he will do anything to keep him to himself and Pete is going to help him overcome the truama of his past with his love.
Kim sees himself in this brooding noir style detective film where he must uncover the dark past of his family but oh no he finds himself falling for the pure and sweet ingénue Chay and must wrestle with the dangerous life he leads and the mission he’s devoted himself to and the love of his life
Porchay thought he’s living his Wattpad dream life where he meets his idol and gains his respect as he tutors him and they slowly develop a sweet friendship that turns into a heartfelt romance
They really demonstrate how all the characters are protagonists of their own story, and that’s how they make their decisions, based on the assumptions on the world around them. They think they know the story their in, and that’s the role they have taken, but the tragedy and the complications of these relationships is that they aren’t in a single genre story. They’re people, achingly human people, interacting with other complex people and what is salvation for one is a damnation for the other.
They aren’t in any specific genre (you know, beyond on the whole mafia thing) and that’s where the miscommunication happens, that’s how the drama unfolds, that’s how all these different romances keep missing each other, because they’re all operating on different wavelengths based on the story they think *THEY’RE* in and not stopping to really consider the other perspective.
It’s absolutely hilarious, it’s terribly tragic, it’s utterly beautiful and performed so well by the writers and the actors.
