i think senor uhl is an excellent example of characters who become likable from alternate perspectives.

like in the majority of trollhunters, he's the terrifying teacher who is harsh and cold towards our protagonists. jim literally has nightmares about senor uhl and it's a running joke that he's practically a robot who cares about nothing but his truck. in trollhunters, senor uhl's ultimatum comes from his terror as a strict teacher.

but when we watch 3Below, senor uhl is one of our protagonists' key allies. it's always senor uhl and the teachers who are defending aja and krel against racists and ensuring that they always have a place in this school and they always defend that place the best that they can. senor uhl even leverages jim so that he can make aja and krel feel more comfortable in arcadia, not out of some personal vendetta against jim.

uhl, in the end, is one of the best examples of characters with disagreeable personalities but strong morals that ultimately draw you to them.

Do you think the more Claire practiced shadow magic the more unhinged and creppy looking she becomes. Like at first glance she looks normal but the more you look at her you notice her eyes have this glow about them that makes you scared for your soul. Her teeth and nails become very sharp. Her voice also changes a bit taking on a haunting undertone. All the while Jim is simping HARD and cant see that his gf looks like some who wil rip his throat out with her teeth.

Oh she definitely gets creepier the longer she uses the magic. The most noticeable is the white in her hair spreading, but Toby and other close friends don't miss the way her eyes always glow in the shadows or the black veins the become more prominent as her skin grows paler.

But Jim either doesn't notice or really doesn't care. Maybe he puts on a huge show of "not noticing" because Claire is self conscious of all the changes and he wants her to feel normal around him.
