Ha was supposed to do a fun little sketch but then I asked my friend to pick out the colors and this is what happened I hate it here

ya'll ever just have a really shit day and have been stressed all week, and your friends cancel on you because shit came up, and you know they aren't ghosting you, but then you listen to Nobody and all your depressing thoughts come back and you feel like nobody likes you so you have a mental breakdown?

okay okay OKAY. Listen, I'm primarily part of the Star Wars fandom (and random shitposts, but we don't talk bout that) BUT, I've recently gotten back into marvel by watching daredevil AND LET ME TELL YOU I've had this OC idea for MONTHS and I've finally had the time to write it out.

Don't worry Ima give you the backstory >:) (though I might change the backstory a bit, this is just the outline technically)

Text: Phantom is a 15-year-old Vigilante, whose real name is Daisy Dixon. Daisy was raised in a very sheltered home with her father (Donald), mother (Sylvia), and 18-year-old brother (Martin). Daisy grew up in a strict Christian household with her father being passionate about Christian ideals and being a saint/martyr. Daisy was closer with her mother as she got older, as her father's ideas scared her and made her uncomfortable. Martin and Daisy were close when they were younger, but Daisy started to avoid him when his ideas became more like their fathers, and he started participating in illegal activities.

The family grew up in a small town in Oregan, before moving to NYC when Daisy was 12 for better economic opportunities. Daisy and her father went on a hiking trip to North Carolina a year after moving to NYC. On the third day of the trip, Daisy's and her father got into an argument that escalated quickly, and in a fit of rage, Daisy's father pushed her off the cliff the two were staying on. Daisy fell into a creek polluted by chemicals and died. Donald was known to be short-tempered and scary, but he had never physically hurt anyone. When he realized what he had done, he committed suicide by hanging.

Daisy's body was found the next day by a couple hiking, and she was taken to a hospital morgue. Hours later, she woke up, shocking everyone. She was questioned by the police, and she told them what happened (which is how they found her father's body later that day), and once she was deemed physically and (semi) mentally fit to travel, she was taken back to NYC and her family was filled in on the situation. Since then, Daisy and her mother had a strained relationship. Sylvia blamed Daisy because she started the argument.

Days later, Daisy discovered her powers on a walk at night when she went to help an injured woman in an alleyway and realized she had the ability to heal. Situations like these continued to happen, and Daisy discovered all of her powers. Eventually, Daisy became a vigilante/medic for the people and deemed herself Phantom. A month later, Daisy started to fight petty crimes (car robbers, pickpocketers, bullies) alongside healing people. When she turned 14, she started to fight bigger criminals (drug dealers, sexual assaulters, child abusers), and this is when she became more known to the public, and eventually, after she took down her first gang (admittedly it was small), she was recognized as one of NYC's beloved (by the people, we all know what news reporters think) vigilantes.

Side effects: —low energy levels after using powers —Sensitivity to the sun —increased metabolism

All these nurses leaving their jobs because they won’t get vaccinated and claiming it’s because God will protect them is the modern day version of the story of the drowning man who refused to get into boats coming to save him because he said he was waiting for God to save him instead and then he dies and he’s like “wtf God why didn’t you save me” and God’s like I sent you boats you fucking ding dong

God okay I'm just. So fucking tired. So here's a list of resources to educate yourself on issues within Star Wars. In light of the Bad Batch Finale and the announcement of the second season, it's vital that you educate yourself about the racism and other issues present.

Reminder that you cannot be in the middle. You are either racist or anti-racist. If you do not practice anti-racism and choose to stay "neutral", you are only supporting a system that constantly perpetuates racism and harms people.

And if for some reason, you think I'm overreacting; for some reason, you think I'm sensitive; for some reason, your first instinct is to get defensive and lash out; you really need to do some thinking as to why you want to scream at POC who just want the right to be recognized and seen. Who just want the right to not be erased.

And if you think this is "not good enough" because they're "just blog posts" or whatever - don't bullshit me. Even if I posted a shit ton of scholarly articles you wouldn't have read them anyway if you're coming at me with excuses for why you think the discrimination is okay. These posts are accessible, and well-written, and straight from the lived experiences of the many minorities and the allies that want to amplify their voices. I'm not asking you to take everything at face value. I'm asking you to do your own research and engage in some critical thinking instead of blindly accepting what you're given.

I haven't even touched on homophobia, on transphobia, and I've barely touched on ableism, not to mention that there's so many other issues out there. I haven't talked about the issues with how the Tuskens are portrayed, or how Watto is portrayed, or how Jar Jar Binks was portrayed, or how Kelly Marie Tran was treated, or how Trace and Rafa Martez were treated, or how the fandom hates Mace Windu, or how Poe's backstory was butchered, or much, much more. If you have more resources, please please please share them in the reblogs. It is impossible to encompass everything in a single post, but we sure as hell can try.

Alright. I've given you the resources. I've given you my time and energy. It's up to you now to educate yourself. It's ok to make mistakes - we're constantly learning and unlearning. It's ok to need to take breaks, and to save this for later because you're tired and the world is going to shit. We are human.

But it's not okay to stay willfully ignorant. It's not okay to constantly try and belittle the trauma and struggles of minorities just because you've been okay living in a system that's built on oppression. Educate yourself.

One more tip: when reblogging or sharing your own resources, flood your tags with everything to do with Star Wars. Flood the Crosshair tag. Flood the Hunter and Omega tag. Flood the tags, because this is relevant to their characters and to the entire saga, and fans need to know.

Summary: After a meeting with a clone hating senator, Riyo thinks about the humanity of the clones. Not expecting to find out that they could actually be afraid of anything, let alone spiders of all things.

Words: 1500~

Riyo has a meeting set up with senator Garos. A man who presents himself as authoritative and adamant, which aren’t poor qualities for any senator to have. Having a strong opinion and showing adequacy is an important quality to have in the senate and as a leader. 

But Senator Garos takes it too far by letting his adamancy cloud his judgement, he’s easy to draw conclusions and his authoritative nature makes him imperious. It was exhausting enough to listen to the man trying to continuously persuade her to have his same opinion. It had already rubbed her the wrong way that he was so pushy in his persuasions, but their conversation this afternoon added to her feelings of uneasiness around the man.

It had already started at the beginning of their meeting, they hadn’t even started their discussion about politics before the man pointed to the commander at her side. “If you could tell your clone to leave the room, Senator Chuchi. I’d like to speak to you in private.”

Riyo feels uncomfortable by the thought of being left alone with the man and feels relieved when the commander decides to speak up on her behalf, saving her from the stress of having to decide to be left alone with the man or to awkwardly decline his offer. “I’ve been assigned the task to protect Senator Chuchi. Leaving her unguarded while on duty would be against protocol, senator.”
