People who regularly turn up at airports from countries that don't exists complete with souvenirs from the holiday they just returned from which nobody actually sold.

The fact that there are far more Fabergé eggs today than were ever produced in the first place despite the fact that they can all be carbon dated to the exact same point in time.

Commercial aircaft in the USA landing at airports many years before they actually went into production.

Murder victims who's bodies have been genetically tested turning up to confirm that they are not in fact dead.

Sarcophagi of pharaoh who never actually existed, but scientific testing proves the coffin as legit.

Dead languages that were lost to time just being casually spoken by people out of thin air after a person suffers a head injury by people who have no connection to those cultures and it being found to be 100% accurate.

Pirate treasure from pirates that never were stolen from people who never existed and found in places completely inaccessible to mankind since before primates were even a thing.

These things keep happening.

The world is far stranger than you think.

Basically sonic is 15 when the outbreak happens. him, sonia and manic try to escape but sonia ends up getting shot which makes sonic and manic slowly drift away from each other. Ten years later he goes around with Amy gathering supplies and stuff like that to sell to people. Hes been keeping in contact with manic but ends up loosing contact so someone asks sonic to take an eight year old across all of mobius so that he can become the “cure”

Sonic knows he’s not meant to get attached to the kid since its the zombie apocalypse, kids die and he’s meant to leave the kid behind anyway but the more he hangs around tails he grows to love him. The kids shy and smart. He can fight and fly. The kids pretty cool and he loves him, he just cant let anything happen to that kid because hes cargo. Not because he’s still an eight year old and needs protecting also he definitely dosen’t remind sonic of his brother and sister

When he finds out that the kid he has fought so hard for, thats gone through too much for someone his age has to die he gets pissed because god thats just a kid man, his sister was just a kid when she died and tails is almost half her age. He couldn’t let that kid die.

And sonic will kill whoever he has to so that his kid brother never gets hurt again
