Wayne Barlowe is a legend! I have the original copy of Expedition and I hope Cryptozoo becomes a thing because Barlowe is an underrated storyteller in my opinion.
Paintings and Drawings by Wayne Barlowe for an unrealized project called "Cryptozoo." Barlowe hasn't revealed much about it other than that he's written a screenplay for it and has been shopping it around for years now. Personally I can't imagine how this would work as a movie, but it seems ideal for the Barlowe's Guide format...

The idea of a religion based on venerating/worshiping prehistoric animals, sounds really interesting! But sadly it hasn’t been well developed. For some reason its only dinosaurs that are venerated.
I could understand that Paru doesn't know about other prehistoric animals. But the whole thing could of been way cooler. Imagine a polytheistic religion where a species, taxa or whatever worships a prehistoric ancestor.
If you wanna know what the prehistoric animals on the right. They are, paraceratherium, Gorgonops and Tiktaalik.
Alex gives no fucks. AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND!
