The fireworks are starting!
Here's a indulgent Minecraft head cannon I've decided to share with y'all.
So, I was thinking about how to include achievements into Minecraft lore and I had an idea, tattoos. For each achievement a player receives a small tattoo appears somewhere on the player's skin.
For example, you might get a wolf tattoo if you tame five wolves or you can get a wither tattoo for killing the wither. I haven't really thought about what each achievement will look like in tattoo form, but you get the jist.
Once a player gets every achievement, you can notice how all the tattoos fit together, covering the player in everything from peaceful animals to hostile beasts, from swords and pickaxes to apples and flowers. It's a beautiful sight to behold.
If a player wishes to show off, they may decide to wear clothing that carefully displays achievements the player wants to show off and hides any bare skin. It is also common for show offs to hide certain achievements to draw attention to more impressive ones. So, a player might cover up whatever tattoo you get for cow tipper to draw more attention to the ender dragon curled around their arm. Though, most players don't care what achievements are displayed, but they still enjoy unlocking achievements and earning more tattoos.
Do what you will with this head cannon, but I feel like this can make for some pretty fanart.

I want all of you to find something you love about yourself 🫵
Hey remember that a boycott if actually MORE effective under capitalism if you profess you would actually end the boycott under certain conditions.
“Nothing this company does can make up for their bad actions, I will never buy from them again!” Okay so they’ve lost you as a customer and have no reason to try and get you back. You can HOPE to drive them into bankruptcy but Chic-Fil-A is evidence of how well that works.
“This company did something bad. I would not consider buying their product again, UNLESS, they publicly apologized and made up for it by … [donating money to a cause, promoting different content, offering better care to their employees, etc.]” This is actually MORE likely to be effective because if enough people say this, the company m sees them as potential customers of a certain demographic, and is willing to make changes to get those customers back and, long term, make money from them.
if you guys dont know anything about canadian politics, i dont think you realize how insane this liberal victory is.
just months ago, the conservatives had an almost guaranteed win. Trudeau was insanely unpopular even among his own party, the progressive vote was split between them and the NDP, and the conservatives had gained so much more ground with the up-and-comer poilievre who came in with a canadian trump campaign strategy. We were resigned to losing, canadian minorities were making backup plans for their livelihoods in the likely event that we would be targeted by poilievre and his goons. His victory seemed like a sad inevitability that we could only stand up for so long against
And then trump was elected. and then canadians woke the fuck up from their conservative pipe dreams as we were hit with tariffs and annexation threats. and then trudeau resigned, leaving his bad blood behind. and then the NDP nuked themselves by publicly betraying the minorities they claimed to serve with their "we dont care who you vote for as long as they arent liberal" strategy, ending the split progressive vote as they were left behind. and then Mark Carney, the best possible liberal leader for this moment in time to win as many people over as possible, was elected liberal leader. Not all of these things are good, many are terrible, many are complicated, but politics is incredibly complicated, and it's the system we work on, so it's the hand we have to play.
And it was close tonight. It was uncomfortably, nauseatingly close, even with all these factors at play, even with ridings in the prariries of all regions going red, because that's how guaranteed a conservative win seemed not too long ago.
But they didn't win. We won.
I want us all to take this moment in time and think back on it when it all seems hopeless and like it'll never be right again. An anti-doomerism moment if you will. Because he was going to win, that wasn't a question, he WAS going to win. And then he didn't.
NEVER. KILL. YOURSELF.
