Como sabem, recentemente no incêndio de Santo Tirso, dezenas, se não centenas, de cães morreram carbonizados num canil ilegal. Sabemos agora que esse canil era gerido por duas mulheres que têm afinidades íntimas com a Câmara de Santo Tirso, que durante décadas ignorou o sucedido, mesmo depois de mais de 400 queixas que foram arquivadas. Os habitantes, sabendo da grave situação, imploraram à GNR, que circundou a propriedade, para salvarem os animais. A GNR não só impediu, como correu com as pessoas à bastonada, apesar de elas terem tesouras para cortarem a vedação e salvarem os animais. Apesar disso, foram obrigadas a assistir a cães a morrerem debaixo de fogo “para o seguro pagar”, impedidas pela GNR que estava a defender a propriedade privada.

Estamos a falar de uma associação que roubou animais da rua ilegalmente, mesmo chipados, e que o alegado veterinário que consultava com a associação informou que estavam todos os animais em perfeita saúde apesar de se estar AINDA a recuperar animais subnutridos, cheios de carraças e cheios de fezes.
