After knowing the name of the second generation, I was excited. It has its own tag!!!!
I’m going to keep pointing out the yonic goblet One for All imagery every time it comes up.
(FYI: yonic imagery is the female counterpart to phallic imagery. Phallic symbols resemble male genitalia, like swords, obelisks, towers, etc. Yonic symbols are objects invoking imagery of female genitalia, often cups, cauldrons, chalices, goblets, wells, caves, tunnels, flowers, fruits, etc.)
One for All and the characters intertwined with it have too many themes surrounding birth/rebirth for this to be a coincidence: i.e.: Yoichi living on past his death, Izuku’s name having a character that can be read as “to be born”, All for One calling himself One for All’s father, all the pregnancy metaphors about One for All, and child Shigaraki tearing himself out vestige All for One, just to name a few.
Voy a robar algunos de estos headcanon para un oc.
Okay I'm tired of pretending to be insane so here are some reaaaally basics Zarbon's race concepts from me ≽^• ˕ • ྀི≼
(TW: (just in case)... +15 text and a little bit of religion thing)
Appearance:
• They are an alien species that belong to the planet Gurētsuh, the name of their race is called Gutokage (Gurēpufurūtsu = grapefruit + Tukage = lizard)
• They are a species which is evolved from what we know as Crocodylidae which have all kinds of lizards belonging to this family (Caimans, alligators, crocodiles, gharials, etc.) being giant reptiles
• They are humanoid reptiles between 2-3 meters (they can grow more), with a lot of muscle mass, tough skin with thick scales, a powerful upper jaw full of sharp teeth (depending on the species of this), eyes with an improved vision with the passage of its evolution, super acute hearing, speed even being so corpulent sometimes, these usually have tails, not all, the tail has been disappearing as they evolve.
• The tail was previously super useful when they had to swim, before they lived both on land and in water and the tail helped them to have balance in the water.
• Like all reptiles, they have a third eyelid for when they need to swim.
• Very few have retained the ability to swim perfectly, this is because on their planet after the "Evolution of beauty" you will rarely see one swimming
• They have super sharp nails capable of cutting flesh and bones easily.
• Most have long hair, rarely short, long and well-groomed hair indicates fertility and good genes.
• Their colors vary depending on the species/subspecies of these lizards, from green to even black (including both skin and hair)
• There are Gutokages with all kinds of bodies, tall, skinny, chubby, muscular, small, etc.
• There are differences between males and females, males are more robust than females normally (depending on their body type)
(More undercut ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ )
Dimorphism/Sex:
• This is a concept that I put together with the fact that they are named after citrus fruits, I have seen that many do this that they have no gender, so in my case, they are all born being male and female at the same time, they have both reproductive organs (Vagina and Penis), but some may look more feminine or masculine than others but that does not define their "gender".
• Example of this: We have a super masculine and large Gutokage that could perfectly be the stereotype of the dominant MALE, but he was the one who gave birth to his children and was the Bottom at the time of procreation.
( Example of dimorphism, both can be "male" or "female" depending. )
• The appearance of the Gutokage depends a lot on its species, the Gutokage of the "Crocodile" species are going to be larger and more robust, if it is a Gutokage of the "Dwarf Alligator" species it will be smaller and skinnier, but the dimorphism is still the same.
• Their reproduction is sexual, and they give birth to 1 to 5 offspring. Being reptiles, they lay eggs and depending on the Gutokage, it will be more painful, heavy or slow when releasing the eggs.
• The offspring (inside the egg) change appearance depending on the temperature, warm = more masculine features and cold = more feminine features.
Mating/Heat:
• Gutokage look for a mate between the months of February and September (in human months) and during these months, courtship, mating, nesting, incubation and hatching of eggs take place.
• Gutokage "reproduce only once in their life" (not really). They mate during a specific period called "courtship", which can last for days. During courtship, they perform elaborate displays to attract the other, these could be anything from showing off their luxuries, hunts, belongings, social status, etc. (Anything that makes the other Gutokage think it's a good idea to be the other's mate).
• Gutokage don't go with just anyone who appears around, they have a couple planned, days, weeks and months before proposing, these like any couple, have to get to know each other 100%, it's no joke, that's why it takes a lot of preparation to get a partner for life.
• When it comes to mating, these creatures are not brute beasts, quite the opposite, they are very romantic, they try to show trust and a safe/loving space to their partner.
• Even when they are in a couple or already have a family, they still continue to have sex, but many wait until the mating season to do so.
Clothing/Jewelry:
• They are creatures that wear clothes that highlight their attributes and beauty in their own way, we have from Gutokage with more Greek style clothing to Gutokage with armor 24/7, they really have varied styles that you see and know that this species will never lose in a clothing contest.
• They use a lot of jewelry, it is what characterizes them too, all kinds of jewelry are worth it, what they use the most and that is more religious are tiaras and earrings (better if these match) and something important about this:
• The earrings/tiara that Zarbon and Yuzun wear are special, that jewelry is created specifically for the Gutokage who do not want to return to their beast forms, they keep them with the idea that their beautiful forms ARE THE TRUE ONES and that makes them look that beautiful.
• Some Gutokage go barefoot, others wear all kinds of footwear depending on their clothing (more than one will have heels).
• They do not have gender stereotypes for clothing.
(example of some Gutokage most normal clothing (the images do not belong to me) )
Religion:
• As I said before, earrings and tiaras are religious accessories, this means that this jewelry is a symbol of miracles, it means protection, harmony with oneself and that not having this is a sin, since they are little they should have this, since they see it as a lack of respect, for them not having this is a sign of savagery, lack of culture and brutishness.
• And why is this? Well, they praise a God, for a reason it is religious. In their bible (yes, they have a bible) everything starts with them being wild creatures on the verge of death, until a little different Gutokage was born, he was smarter and to differentiate himself from the others he used accessories created by himself, this one in order to save his race, he made a deal with the "Powerful" to become the savior of his race, this was granted and the young Gutokage became a deity, having the charge of helping his race to be beings like him, that's why they use jewelry, it's a symbol of gratitude and honor to their god who saved them.
• This entity had children, which are "God of war", "God of fertility", "God of death" and "God of good luck"...
Okay, so far everything I have, I know that maybe it's a bit out of nowhere but, I can't see how nobody does anything, I hope you liked it, if you have anything else to add I'm all ears. ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )
Lol.
this has probably been drawn before but I did it anyway <3
Check out this amazing commission of cross-dressing Yoichi from Poysean, a very talented artist with lots of Yoichi/Second art at https://twitter.com/Poysean5. I love it! The last chapter of The Dawn of the Age of Trioholders is now up, and fair warning it gets steamy.
Do you think the twins would have looked more alike without TTS? Maybe their appearance would be more in the middle than the two extremes they canonically are
hmm. interesting question. the TTS (twin-to-twin transfusion) syndrome is certainly cause for Yoichi's more frail constitution, but before AfO beefed up, AfO also had a kind of delicate, dare i say cherubic, quality to his appearance.
(i'm on the team of "they share the same nose, if anything" btw)
unanswered questions: how come AfO kept getting his hair cut short while Yoichi's hairstyle seems perpetually shoulder-length?? did the stress of holding so many vestiges cause premature hair loss for AfO?? was Yoichi never introduced to hair ties??
Llevo desde que salió el trailer de Barbie esperando este, me siento feliz y realizada.
Duo holders, but make it the Barbie & Ken mugshot meme.
Jod*r, ahora necesito más sobre este Au, me he enamorado.
AU where Third was originally part of the Yakuza and later defected to work for AFO.
1- logic would say that someone who's defected once might defect again, but like 80% of AfO's people fit into the category so he doesn't think much of it. Most die before they can betray him, and he's overly confident in his control of them. Third is no exception, and he brought a lot of money and useful resources with him to AfO as his former group burned down behind him, and didn't even demand a good quirk for it, just offered loyalty so AfO was pretty cool with him
2- Third turned btw because he felt like though the Yakuza had accepted and protected him as a meta teen, they now mostly just saw him as a tool and not one of them, not a real brother.
3- Third does somewhat find more belonging as one of the guards in AfO's organization, but their near worship of the guy feels a little off to him- he isn't sure they're valued enough to justify quite that. But he keeps his mouth shut and does feel like this is a better boss than his last one.
4- Third also finds some belonging in his new boss's younger brother, the reclusive and ill Yoichi who's room he guards. He can understand Yoichi's frustrations for being treated like a glass doll, and even though he also thinks the guy is naive it's clear that that's partially from literally never being allowed out so really it's AfO's fault.
5- one day, after Third returns from guarding AfO and his doctor (mostly the doctor, AfO has the taller Machia act as his guard) at a dinner event, they find Yoichi apparently slipped his guards of the night some of his own medication and ran away. AfO kills the guards for their failure, orders Third follow the doctor to "the new base" and assist him with "preparations", then leaves with Machia to track Yoichi down. On their way, the doctor casually reveals that he's been making Yoichi's illnesses worse on purpose on AfO's orders and wonders what he might have to do the fool now- though the vault without sunlight might help with that. Third, horrified, follows the doctor there, then makes an excuse about securing the perimeter and runs like hell, hoping to find Yoichi before his brother does.
Este en realidad es súper lindo.
ask game where Yoichi who lives in a small cottage on the beach one day finds an injured mermaid (which is AFO) on the shore and decides to help it. It turns out to be the biggest mistake of his life.
Poor Yoichi, once again doomed after foolishly inviting AFO into his life:
Yoichi is a marine biologist. When he finds an injured merman with white hair and red eyes washed up on the beach, he immediately takes him home. Yoichi tends to the injuries and keeps him in a bathtub filled with saltwater. He does not tell anyone, because he assumes if merpeople have not revealed themselves to humans then they don't want to be known. Although Yoichi cannot speak the merman's language, he uses pictures to figure out that he eats raw fish.
As soon as the merman is well enough to swim, Yoichi sneaks him back to the beach. The merman grabs Yoichi's head and drags him under. Unbeknownst to Yoichi, he saved All for One, the King of the Mer. All for One is a cruel and tyrannical king who got injured in a battle against rebels. He feels grateful to Yoichi for saving his life, and has decide to express that gratitude by turning Yoichi into a mer.
Merpeople have no reproductive organs, so they reproduce by drowning humans. This process transforms humans into their own kind. Usually merpeople pick children, who are easier to make forget about their past. Sometimes merpeople will fall in love/lust with a human and decide to drown them. It's unusual to adopt someone as old as Yoichi into a family but not unprecedented.
All for One brings Yoichi back to his castle and announces that Yoichi is his new brother. Using magic, All for One erases Yoichi's memories. But it does not work perfectly because Yoichi is too old.
For many years, Yoichi lives with his overprotective brother in the underwater castle. Yoichi keeps having terrifying dreams of drowning. He also clashes with his older brother over his cruelty toward those he considers lesser.
One day a mer expedition brings back a microscope from a shipwreck, and it triggers Yoichi's memories of his past. He tries to run away. All for One locks Yoichi inside a dark trench to break his spirit so it will be easier to remove his memories again.
Second is a Cecaelia (half octopus-half human) and Third is a neried (sea nymph). Both of their people are enemies to All for One. They find Yoichi while investigating what All for One is hiding in the trench, and rescue him.
Yoichi never had any family to return to in the human world, and so much time has passed that the most of the people he knew have died of old age. But he finds happiness with two new loves, living in freedom.
