And of course, the weekly monster sketches.
This beast here is a more sketchy version of my sketchbook work. I drew it on the fly while watching YouTube vids. Love me some Markiplier. Yeah I'm pretty sure I have some low form of ADHD because of my constant jittering. Anyways, enjoy the teeth and beak.

“Double”
I’ve always loved what people can come up with for tattoo designs, so for this one, i decided to try my hand at it. I loveeeee the results.

I am so goddamn glad that I have two perfectly functioning hands, because i would never be able to do this sort of precise stuff with a pressure dependent ink pen.

Inktober 2018 Day 26
“Stretch”
Hands have always been kinda difficult for me, so I’m glad that I’m finally enjoying drawing them. I didn’t know how this one would turn out and I was kinda iffy when I first started inking, but somehow in the end it turned out ok.

Here's this week's monster posting. I decided that this year would be the year where I branch out into different monsters, along with learning anatomy, so here's a more upper body musculature study. I'm still learning so sorry for any anatomy problems. Or foreshortening probs for that matter. I'm also trying to learn that... So much to learn, feels like so little time....
So for all those who know next to nothing about me: I love bugs. Specifically preying mantis and dragonflies cause they are badasses. I’ve been feeling a little bit of art block lately with drawing humans and doing more experimentation into color and digital art, so I wanted to go back to my comfort zone for a bit. This is the result after looking at a whole bunch of “creepy crawlies” that I love so damn much. I will probably add some lazy colors to this at some point just cause I’m starting to somehow enjoy the struggle of it?? Nothing better than a little pain and suffering right? Don’t judge popular artists too hard for being protective of their ideas. When someone takes inspiration from their work, even if they’re going their own road with it, it’s still a weird feeling for the artist.
They might find it rewarding. They might feel walls closing in around them. It’s different for everyone.

A thing I’ve been working on for the past day or so, completed 3-18-18. Had this in the lineart sketchbook for a long while now, but decided to just get it done and over with. Took about 10-15 hours to do, which was longer than Indigestion’s time to finish, which was around a few hours. That’s probably ‘cause I took way more time with the lineart on this one than the previous, so I’m gonna try to keep that stage on the down low and simple next time around. I want these things to just go faster so that I can get stuff out faster. This one allowed me to play more with shading, and I like what I did with the background, what with the increasing lightness as you go down. Was great fun to do, and am excited for the next project. The next one is likely to be a piece with more tight lineart and no shading, so look forward to it.
