ATS3 Update | Ilona likes Ikea | the Living-Room
One more Ikea inspired set! :p This time, here’s some pieces of furniture for the living-room. I might make more later, but for now, it’s all I’ve been able to mesh. :D
Candle stick lights up with real flames (if you have Granthes script installed); LIATORP surfaces have a lot of slots, including below glass; KARLSTAD seatings have 3 color channels (cushions, base & feet). By the way, I’m meshing all these objects, none are Sims 2 Ikea conversions.
We've noticed some confusion about what @simblreenofficial is, and how it works.
First of all, we're here to manage and clarify doubts about this event. We make a guide, we give out dates, we answer asks and we reblog content made for Simblreen. This is to help newcomers to simblr, or simblrs who didn't participate in past years. When they see people mention Simblreen but don`t understand what it is or how it works, our blog is here as a reference that everyone can point to.
Simblreen was an event born out of simblrs wanting to do something fun for Halloween as well as share what they made with others. We are not the end all be all of events surrounding Halloween in the simblr community. There are CAS challenges, edit challenges. We know some people have their own events in discord, and facebook, etc. This doesn't concern us, just like events made around Christmas don't concern us.
Multiple people manage this account, and you are free to reach out to them on their personal accounts for personal opinions (doesn't mean we will answer on our personal accounts either, but you know...). But please do not tag or involve @simblreenofficial. We're here only as a guide for Simblreen.
We've also seen people being worried of doing things during Simblreen they may not be allowed to.
Let's make things clear here: We only ask for the gifts to be given for free, as in not paywalled. This is the only things we do not budge on. When you participate, how you give out your gifts, what kind of gifts you have, what sims games your gifts are for, etc., are up to you. And if you do not have gifts, that's okay too! You can trick or treat, you can do CAS challenges or edits, do spooky stories, or you can simply not participate at all!
We are not here to police how you participate in Simblreen. We are here to help and give advice when asked for it and uplift anyone making content for Simblreen.
Our goal is for anyone who wishes to participate in Simblreen to have as much fun as possible, and to go about it as stress-free as possible.
TL:DR we just want you to be happy around Halloween! 🎃
Hi!
You might know me around the Simming Community as Logan, Sonikku3, Lan the Hedgehog (No comments), if you'd like to say something just call me Logan, I'm a 17 year-old guy with a, like (not obsession... maybe a bit) for Sims, and X-men too (my favourite... a bit obvious), but Sims mostly, oh and Video Game making, and Pixel Art, And... i'll stop or else i'll just fill my introduction post, I forgot to mention, I'm portuguese.
Around the community i've done a lot of stuff... a bit of Machinma here, a bit of storytell there, a bit of CC making over there... yeah, i'm sort of a Jack -of-all-trades.
I'll just repost things i enjoy and trips to memory lane, and when my computer is fixed even more.
I hope i can meet lots of folks here besides the ones i know.
Oh this is absolutely a game changer on the task of mesh repositoring!
Repository Wizard
The Repository Wizard is a utility for automating the repository technique for objects and clothing.
Object Mode
This mode of the Repository Wizard automates the process described by HugeLunatic in their Repository Technique tutorial.
Clothing Mode
This mode of the Repository Wizard creates new re-colours for a new/modified mesh based on an existing mesh with its own set of re-colours.
This is NOT the simple approach to the repository method of linking the dependant's TXMT resource(s) to the donor's TXTR resource(s), but a new, more advanced, approach of linking via the 3IDR resource.
See the application’s web page for extensive details about both modes.
If you do not know what the repository technique is, or why you would want to use it, this application is not for you!
So, this is one of my first trips through Memory Lane, a sim i enjoyed the most, Marisol Velasquez.
First, a little bit of backstory, one day, i guess in 2011, i installed The Sims 3 on my mother's laptop (this was due to my own computer having problems), when i started the game, i played with an empty Riverview save, and created my first inhabitant, a Latina Gall named, if it wasn't obvious, Marisol Velasquez.
Later on, i had to uninstall The Sims 3 from my mother's laptop (and she forbid me and my sister to install things on her laptop), but when i was back to my computer, i started a town where before standed Sunset Valley, named Vilabella, and one of my first sims there was, drumroll please...
Marisol Velasquez, a cutie wasn't she.
But then a simmers worst nightmate happend, game crashing, graphics card on the loose... and a lot of restarting Vilabella.
In some of those restarts i had plans to add Marisol back to the neighborhood, unfortunatly, that never came to happend untill a day where an idea came... And Marisol came back, but...
...as a Teen.
Since she was a teen she would require Family, so i made her mother, and her mother's boyfriend, not Marisol's dad...
Meet Miss Carmen Velasquez and Paco Sanches.
And well this is where Marisol's story currently stands, hope you enjoyed the first trip through Memory Lane.
Mini-tutorial for SimPe users
'Merge' button allows you to quickly add / replace only a part of material properties inside recolour package.
Export the settings (.xml file) from recolour A
Open .xml file with text editor like Notepad
Locate and remove the lines you don't want to replace / add to recolour B, for example: remove base texture name if you don't want to link clothing recolour B to texture resource used by clothing recolour A*
Open recolour B and hit Merge to open pop-up window. Pick the edited xml and import the settings. Remember to Commit and save.
*note: TS2 Bodyshop recolours like clothing, accessories, hair are linked to a specific texture only with TXMT Properties. In case of object recolours you also need to add / edit texture name inside File List tab.
I use Merge method to link a batch of clothing recolours to the same normal map texture included with the mesh file.
If you see this in your Ask box, DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR EMAIL. THEY ARE TRYING TO HACK YOUR ACCOUNT.
I’ve already seen another simblr receive this so I thought I’d signal boost the moron trying to hack people’s accounts.
Guys, I need help from object creators and meshers - I’m trying to convert this sunken fireplace from Syboulette.
My problem is that it’s a bit under the ground level but I have no idea how to deal with it. Apparently I need a mesh mask but I don’t know how to make one. I found no tutorials on this topic.
I also tried opening up the sunken base game jacuzzi but saw nothing special in that mesh, yet somehow it makes a ground cutout…
Do you have any ideas on this please? 🥺
(He/Him) I share mostly Sims 2 content, not at a consistent rate. (Also known as Sonikku3 and jdps18 on different websites)
