Wow waffle Crew has been through some stuff and effects have taken a toll on them mentally, emotionally on an individual level and as a group. I dislike conflict but I see some conflict was needed between the group members to actually start addressing their issues. I hope next session they can start further talking things out but hopefully in a calmer manner. - Diath basically relived the Ironslag event. Also high lighted to me that Diath didn't heal or deal with Ironslag. He after a little while just placed on a mask of old Diath and desperately tried to hold it together when he wasn't really holding it together. He's been very unstable for a long time and this Ep to me just shown what had been brewing suppressed for awhile. - Strix eradict behaviour and her guilt was certainly pointed out. But also the party nearly splintering gosh, the thoughts of going back to those Barovia days has got to be crushing. - Evelyn dealing with coming back from the dead again, dealing with her martyr instincts and her own insecurities wow a lot is on her plate. Also her anger, confusion and frustration was intense. - then Paultin getting attached to this group despite himself and being the most level headed one despite still processing his ring controlled attempted murder on them, Simon's brief death & Evelyn's. Then dealing with Strix & Diath breaking down. Paultin has a lot going on. Communication/lack of communication seems to be the main point of the Waffle Crew current issues from my perspective. The first attempts to address their problems was painful but hopefully will lead to better understanding of each other and possibly how they can work as a group. Group dynamics shifting I can totally see. Paultin taking over as the leader for a time I could see, at least for awhile Diath could use the time to heal without the weight of decisions on his shoulders. That is if Paultin recovers somewhat, he's been though a lot but going forward might (given certain conditions) be the best equipped Waffle Crew member to lead the group at least for a time. Strix has lead the group at points but it doesn't seem healthy for her, the anxiety seem to got worse and when she takes charge she places everything on her shoulders. Evelyn leading doesn't seem to fit currently as she has too self doubt and a similar I have to make sacrifices vibe which make Diath & Strix as leaders right now unhealthy for those individuals. Paultin has more self preservation than his party members which given his party's current status possibly the best option for them all mentally. Paultin seems aware of his own limitations and those of his allies enough that given the opportunity and choices he could be the leader the Waffle Crew need for their healing time. These are my current rambling thoughts. Knowing me it's probably not as eloquent as I prefer and I'm up for anything the Waffle Crew might try next. I love these characters virtues, strengths, vices, flaws & all. And I hope to keep seeing more of them and their interactions. One day, they'll get to 'retire' & relax without anything trying to kill them. :)
This is incredible!
I’ve compiled every raw ass quote from tumblr shitposts into my phone and i’m gonna use every single one of them in my campaign at some point.
Reblogging so I remember. This seems super help for art. Been wanting try my hand at battle pose art rather reference poses but haven’t found much luck in finding good reference poses
This fabulous bitch
She makes a shit ton of poses (like 16,000 or some crazy nonsense). I used this lovely lady to draw so much as a teen. Whether it was some nerdy pose for my Mary Sue as fuck OCs
or for full on fight sequences
or for tragic deaths of my OCs in the arms of a totally OOC main protagonist.
this bitch hooked me up.
And with the wildest, craziest stuff that you could see in your head but had no way or resources to reasonably draw like
or this
or this
DUDE! INASNE SHIT!! So I was using her for a pose reference and decided, you know what, I owe this bitch some cash. Lemme dole it out for her. BUT then, I looked and saw she only has 286 fucking patrons!! This chick gives out free shit and spends countless hours arranging these shoots and setting this stuff up.
I’ll fork up the cash, SenshiStock. You’re worth it.
Check out this amazing woman’s stuff, and get knowledged: https://www.deviantart.com/senshistock

I love this so much... great ideas.
Concept: a D&D-style fantasy setting where humanity’s weird thing is that we’re the only sapient species that reproduces organically.
Dwarves carve each other out of rock. In theory this can be managed alone, but in practice, few dwarves have mastered all of the necessary skills. Most commonly, it’s a collaborative effort by three to eight individuals. The new dwarf’s body is covered with runes that are in part a recounting of the crafters’ respective lineages, and in part an elaboration of the rights and duties of a member of dwarven society; each dwarf is thus a living legal argument establishing their own existence.
Elves aren’t made, but educated. An elf who wishes to produce offspring selects an ordinary animal and begins teaching it, starting with house-breaking, and progressing through years of increasingly sophisticated lessons. By gradual degrees the animal in question develops reasoning, speech, tool use, and finally the ability to assume a humanoid form at will. Most elves are derived from terrestrial mammals, but there’s at least one community that favours octopuses and squid as its root stock.
Goblins were created by alchemy as servants for an evil wizard, but immediately stole their own formula and rebelled. New goblins are brewed in big brass cauldrons full of exotic reagents; each village keeps a single cauldron in a central location, and emerging goblings are raised by the whole community, with no concept of parentage or lineage. Sometimes they like to add stuff to the goblin soup just to see what happens – there are a lot of weird goblins.
Halflings reproduce via tall tales. Making up fanciful stories about the adventures of fictitious cousins is halfling culture’s main amusement; if a given individual’s story is passed around and elaborated upon by enough people, a halfling answering to that individual’s description just shows up one day. They won’t necessarily possess any truly outlandish abilities that have been attributed to them – mostly you get the sort of person of whom the stories could be plausible exaggerations.
To address the obvious question, yes, this means that dwarves have no cultural notion of childhood, at least not one that humans would recognise as such. Elves and goblins do, though it’s kind of a weird childhood in the case of elves, while with halflings it’s a toss-up; mostly they instantiate as the equivalent of a human 12–14-year-old, and are promptly adopted by a loose affiliation of self-appointed aunts and uncles, though there are outliers in either direction.
Honestly as a blind person I’m so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who don’t use white canes or other guides. “They have special powers so they know what’s around them” or “they’re confident enough to not need a guide” are common tropes, and I’m tired.
Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They can’t use a cane because they’re so special that they already know what’s around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because they’re not special?
I’m tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Don’t make white cane users feel ostracized for not being “strong enough” to go without.
Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.
Tldr I’m blind and tired of sighted people lol
I would be sad if you left, your posts are very amusing.
So pretty! I’m reblogging to remember this. Amazing stain glass!
You know how fantasy worlds are almost always based on (mostly Central and Northern) European Medieval aesthetic and folklore?
For a while I’ve been thinking that if we had a fantasy world made here, it would be interesting to have it be inspired by Modernisme (the Catalan artistic movement from the late 19th century - early 20th century). I mean, look at this and tell me it doesn’t have potential:
Interior of the Sagrada Família basilica, Barcelona. The stained glass in different sides of the temple are different colours, so the light changes colour depending on the hour of the day. (Photo sources x x)
Illa de la Discòrdia, Barcelona. x
Benches in Parc Güell (Barcelona), made with the “trencadís”, the typical mosaic used in many of Antoni Gaudí’s works (he’s one of the most famous Modernist architects, and one of the most famous Catalan architects of all times too). x
A hall in Hospital de Sant Pau, Barcelona. x
Ceiling of Palau de la Música Catalana, a concert hall in Barcelona.
Lots of these things. This one is in Argentona (Catalonia, too). x
And fashion would be like this:
Stained glass in Cerdanyola, Catalonia. x
Illustrations by Gaspar Camps.
More stained glass, now in Museu del Modernisme, Barcelona. x
Modernist jewels by Lluís Masriera (I’ve talked about Modernist jewels in this previous post). x
Even the furniture:
x
Interior of Casa Amatller in Barcelona. x.
Even in wood looked pretty.
x
And lots of cool windows inspired by nature!
And from outside
Olot, Catalonia. x.
And of course all kinds of windows. Light is important!
Torre Bellesguard. x.
Barcelona. x.
This ceiling in Palau Güell with holes to let light in. x.
And this lamp?? Also in Palau Güell. x.
Everything would have to be very curvy.
Casa Milà, Barcelona. x.
And shops
This bakery in Palma, Mallorca. x.
And I won’t begin with the tiles to not make the post longer…
What do you think?
And for people from other countries, what element in your culture do you think a fantasy world could be based on, aesthetically?
This was very fun to watch.
AWESOOOMEEE!! MINATOOO!! MINATOOOO!! xD XD
This is so relaxing & beautiful
A short self-indulgent fjorclay comic I drew
I love the idea of all this so much.
You know what fantasy writing needs? Working class wizards.
A crew of enchanters maintaining the perpetual flames that run the turbines that generate electricity, covered in ash and grime and stinking of hot chilies and rare mushrooms used for the enchantments
A wizard specializing in construction, casting feather fall on every worker, and enchanting every hammer to drive nails in straight, animating the living clay that makes up the core of the crane
An elderly wizard and her apprentice who transmute fragile broken objects. From furniture, to rotten wood beams, to delicate jewelry
A battle magician, trained with only a few rudimentary spells to solve a shortage of trained wizards on the front who uses his healing spells to help folks around town
Wizarding shops where cheery little mages enchant wooden blocks to be hammered into the sides of homes. Hammer this into the attic and it will scare off termites, toss this in the fire and clean your chimney, throw this in the air and all dust in the room gets sucked up
Wizard loggers who transmute cut trees into solid, square beams, reducing waste, and casting spells to speed up regrowth. The forest, they know, will not be too harsh on them if the lost tree’s children may grow in its place
Wizard farmers who grow their crops in arcane sigils to increase yield, or produce healthier fruit
Factory wizards who control a dozen little constructs that keep machines cleaned and operational, who cast armor to protect the hands of workers, and who, when the factory strikes for better wages, freeze the machines in place to ensure their bosses can’t bring anyone new in.
Anyway, think about it.
Persona, Fire Emblem Awakening and Dragon Age Ace fan girl.
