Hospital Bed

Hospital bed

Lance was in school writing with his fellow 5 friends the teacher calls him up and tells him his little brother Marco is in the hospital, and Marco was most likely dying.

Lance screamed as he ran out of the room slamming it so hard the door broke with a large crack noise.

He never felt himself move faster as he got into his car and sped off as fast as possible.

He reached there messily parking and ran into the building not waiting and ran up to the woman at the desk.

“Marco McClain, where is he?”

“What business do you have with Marco?”

Lance screamed, “He’s my dying brother shithead!”

She pointed to the right door shocked but was used to panicked family members screaming, “Room 24a.”

Lance slammed through the door sprinting and reached the room and told everyone in there to get the hell out.

Lance the whole way there thought about everything his brother wouldn’t experience and he sobbed pulling his brother close who smiled softly and clung to Lance. There had been a chance that Marco could die, no one knew at that point what caused him to be in so much pain.

Lance hummed a soft melody to Marco and pulled him close curling around him there was conversation outside the door more than usual and the door clicked open.

Lance had tears falling down as his brother gripped him breathing the best he could. It sounded like the most horrid thing Lance has ever heard.

Lance smiled saying random things to Marco talking about their history and the good times.

Lance’s friends and his parents stood there tears falling watching as Marco curled up to Lance for comfort and struggled to move away from anyone else.

Lance said sweet nothings to him and felt Marco’s grip loosen as he fell asleep. Marco still breathed harshly and Lance figured out Marco had Cystic Fibrosis. He rubbed Marco’s throat with slow calming motions that made Marco softly smile.

The others left and Lance laid there.

~weeks later~

Marco survived his attack and was home he was on a bunch of medication as when injected the other night the prescription worked. Lance has been taking care of him and leading him around the school and Lance introduced Marco to his friends.

They treated Marco as if he was with them since day one and Marco couldn’t be without Lance for half an hour without having a panic attack.

They were inseparable and no one would want it any other way.

It’s Kind Of Diabolical

UA was a dream school that people all around the world tried to get into. Not only was it ranked number one in all of Japan, but the school was undefeated in all categories. Whatever category an individual could think of Dean Nezu did everything in his power to make the school the best in said category.

The 3% acceptance rate showed how picky the admissions team was.

Izuku Midoriya was considered one of the smartest students in the school. There were only two people that ranked higher than him in the entire building across all majors. Izuku was in a medical and pharmaceutical concentration of Biology and Chemistry. The double major was hell on earth, but he topped that off with a physics and psychology minor.

No one in the school, including the teachers, understood how he managed his time juggling countless classes all at once. Still, Izuku loved to learn, and he put his full effort into completing every class to near perfection. He worked very closely with his advisors Toshinori Yagi and Aizawa Shota. They complimented each other and it helped Izuku a lot with moving forward and making decisions based on their advice.

Everyone was always talking about Izuku and every move he made. Still, Izuku had something that he kept to himself. Izuku was a professional athlete.

The only reason no one knew was because he didn’t play for the college, making it significantly easier for him to keep it a secret. Well, to a degree he could hide it. He competed in high level competitions, and many were non-profit to raise awareness for important causes. His high ranking often led him to speaking in interviews about the cause.

Izuku was an angel on earth.

Katsuki Bakugo was average in school. He was naturally smart and put as little effort into his schoolwork as possible. Katsuki was a business major with two minors. One was in marketing and another in accounting. As long as he got an A in the class, he didn’t try to push himself harder. His main focus was on sports. After all, he was the captain of the football team and spent most of his free time training.

The school's meal plan was heavily abused by Katsuki as he was often seen inhaling food with his friends whenever he wasn’t in the gym or on the field. The training and consistent meal plan helped him greatly. Katsuki was well built with muscles that made half of the campus jealous and the other half lovesick.

Despite all the attention Katsuki got, he remained single. He appreciated his fans to a degree, but never engaged with them. He enjoyed the chase and the rush he got from the attention. Still, he loved playing football, and he loved his teammates. He’d never let a relationship, or other outside influences distract him.

That was until his best friend, also the vice-captain of the football team, decided it was time to flip his life upside down.

“Who’s that talking to Coach Toshinori?” asked Kaminari excitedly upon seeing a cute boy appear on the fields.

Katsuki didn’t bother looking, not interested in hearing gossip about some stranger. Kirishima on the other hand perked up when he noticed who Kaminari was talking about. “That’s Midoriya! He’s insane.”

Kirishima’s statement caught the attention of Katsuki and the rest of the team. Sero recognized Izuku as well and commented, “Yeah, isn’t he doing a double major and double minor?”

“That’s him! Mina told me that he’s already been accepted by every high end medical school he’s applied to,” revealed Kirishima, happy to say his girlfriend's name every chance he got.

Kaminari stared at Izuku from afar, letting his mouth catch flies. Once he let a couple of moments pass by, he snapped back into focus and smirked. “So, he’s smart and successful. Wait, how does Mina know him?”

“Mutual friends, apparently Midoriya is super popular. Almost everyone knows him, so I’m surprised you don’t,” responded Kirishima slowly, letting his gaze return to Izuku.

Toshinori flashed a wide smile at Izuku, ruffling the fluffy locks of green hair. The excited voices of the duo faintly reached the group's ears. Tetsutetsu chuckled to himself before jerking a thumb over to where they were standing. “Looks like he just got accepted to another school.”

Katsuki’s gaze was fierce, but he couldn’t stop the foreign rushing of his heart. There was something about this smartass chatting with his coach that irritated Katsuki. No matter how much he wanted to roll his eyes and redirect the conversation, he knew Izuku would be on his mind.

Fate had funny ways of bringing destined lovers together.

Three weeks was all it took for Katsuki cave into obsession. He hadn’t realized just how big of a figure Izuku had been in the school. After that fateful day, it seemed that anytime he’d be in the food hall or was hanging out with his friends, he’d hear chatter about the mysterious genius.

All alone in his room with thirty minutes until his bedtime, Katsuki started digging. He found some online interviews with Izuku talking about the charities he’s worked with. Then Katsuki found his social media account that talked about plans for his future, study tips, and a plethora of random school-related things.

It only took a minute of scrolling for Katsuki to realize this wasn’t Izuku’s personal account. No matter how much he dug, he couldn’t find any pictures of Izuku at these apparent parties or hangouts with his friends that Mina claimed he had.

The following morning came around and like clockwork, Izuku would become a part of his life.

The football team huddled around Coach Toshinori when he clapped his hands together with his usual blinding smile. “Look alive! As you all know, the season is starting to pick up and now more than ever, we need to engage with the public. We are the best school in all of Japan and we need to maintain that status. So, I want you to take to social media and hold mini interviews with people in busy areas!”

Katsuki shrugged, not bothered by the assignment. It wasn’t like he had any intention of being the one doing the interviewing. If he partnered with Kirishima who was more of a people person, then he could just record the interviews.

“Let’s do this Bakugo!” cheered Kirishima loudly, letting his manly persona take over.

Katsuki narrowed his eyes, tightening his grip on his phone. “Shut up Shitty Hair! Do you want to scare away everyone with your screaming?”

Rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, Kirishima turned back to where people were moving in and out of shops. “Oops, you’re right. Sorry man.”

Huffing, Katsuki prepared his phone to record as Kirishima asked individuals if they’d be willing to be interviewed. Most of the time it took one look at Kirishima and Bakugo for people to say yes. It may have been the duo’s good looks, or their UA letter jackets, but people were fast to do an interview.

They had already held short interviews with ten people by the time their interest had fully worn off. Kirishima groaned, crashing on a nearby bench. “Why does Coach want us to interview fifteen people? We are going to have way too much footage,” noted Kirishima as he watched people pass by.

“Stop complaining, we are almost finished,” grumbled Katsuki, scrolling through the countless videos on his phone.

“Easy for you to say! You haven’t talked to one person,” scoffed Kirishima, failing at guilt tripping Katsuki.

Raising a brow with an unimpressed expression, Katsuki shrugged it off. “Not my problem.”

Kirishima spotted a familiar face in the crowd and his face lit up like a little kid on their birthday. “No way! Is that Midoriya? What are the odds we see him here?”

Katsuki was already handing his phone to Kirishima, not bothering to look back or wait for his friend. “Record me.”

The eagerness Katsuki displayed to interview Izuku let Kirishima know everything. Katsuki had a fat crush on Izuku. He’d never pass up a moment to record Katsuki making a fool of himself. Moments like these were rare and Kirishima usually failed to capture the moment in a picture or video.

Once the redhead caught up to where Katsuki had greeted Izuku, he caught the end of their exchange of pleasantries.

Izuku flashed a soft smile at Katsuki. “It’s nice to meet you in person! Toshinori tells me a lot about you.”

Kirishima was already recording with a bright smile. “Hi Midoriya!”

Turning his head to look at Kirishima, Izuku’s eyes lit up when he realized it was Kirishima. “Oh! Kirishima, hi! It’s been so long since we’ve last talked!”

“It really has been! I’ve been so busy with balancing school and football I haven’t been going to the parties lately,” sighed Kirishima defeatedly. He knew Izuku wasn't one to be petty but still, he felt bad about not keeping in touch with someone he enjoyed talking to.

“Nonsense! Anyway, Bakugo, you mentioned something about interviewing me?” inquired Izuku, returning to the initial reason he was approached by the hottest guy on campus.

Katsuki took a step closer to Izuku after letting his eyes trail all over Izuku’s body when the pretty boy had been distracted. Clearing his throat, trying to fight the nerves that flooded his body when he caught sight of muscular legs, Katsuki nodded.

“Yes, the football team is doing interviews with the public so we can post stupid shit to remind everyone why UA is the best.”

Perking up at the explanation of what was happening, Izuku eagerly agreed,” Of course. I’m more than happy to support UA and our football team!”

The three traveled to a more open area of the shopping center. The sun was warm on their skin and there was a gentle breeze. As Izuku and Katsuki waited for Kirishima to give them the go ahead to start the interview, Kirishima swore the scene looked like something out of a romcom movie. The school jock and nerd running into each other and having their worlds collide on a beautiful day with a cinematic breeze twirling their hair around.

Izuku was wearing a white tee shirt with the words “running shirt” on it. He paired the simple tee shirt with some black gym shorts that had white accents on the side seam. Both of his knees were strapped up with yellow kinesiology knee tape, paired with royal blue compression socks. The final addition to the horrifically discolored outfit was a pair of expensive red running sneakers.

Katsuki was in some baggy black pants, expensive white sneakers, and wore his UA football letter jacket.

Their outfits dramatically contrasted each other, but it wasn’t an eyesore like Kirishima thought it would be. Despite all of that, Kirishima cut the two’s ogling short. “Start anytime!”

Without missing a beat, Katsuki went off-script and asked a personal question. “What happened to your leg?”

Both Kirishima and Izuku seemed a bit taken aback by the question, but they quickly recovered. Kirishima knew he was going to use this as blackmail on Katsuki for the foreseeable future. Izuku on the other hand didn’t know what to expect from the interview and was happy to talk to the notorious football captain.

“I do a lot of running. A lot of cardio,” revealed Izuku, smiling shyly at Katsuki as he fiddled with the earbuds he had taken out.

Since he was a person with no filter, Katsuki dove straight into sly flirting. “Were you on your knees by any chance?”

“I actually was,” answered Izuku quickly, a bit surprised Katsuki asked the question. Still, he wasn’t too surprised Katsuki knew what to ask considering he was an athlete too.

Katsuki didn’t falter despite Izuku clearly not understanding what he meant with that question. “Oh. I picked the right guy for the interview,” commented Katsuki charmingly, his eyes looking at Izuku as if he were a meal to devour.

With the single comment, Izuku picked up on what Katsuki was indirectly saying and let his eyes widen and let out a breathless laugh. Katsuki knew he wanted to see that look and hear that laugh every day for the rest of his life. He wasn’t one to believe in love at first sight, but truly Izuku had him captivated. Izuku felt the exact same way.

He got me, hook, line, and sinker.

“How is your day going?” asked Katsuki calmly, reeling back into interviewing Izuku despite him not asking about UA or things about football.

Izuku pouted, looking at the hustle and bustle of the people around. “Pretty slow”

Seeing an opening to be mischievous again, Katsuki leaned closer. “Do you want me to make it faster?”

Perking up at the suggestive question, Izuku was ready to show he was just as interested. Using all the confidence training his teachers have put him through, Izuku tempted, “How would you do that?”

“How do you want me to do that?” fired back Katsuki with pure enjoyment. There was a little voice in the back of his head, wondering if the man before him was being a little shit to mess with him or if he was truly interested.

While Katsuki was overthinking everything, Izuku tilted his head down, looking up at Katsuki through his eyelashes with a shy smile. It was a very pointed look, and Katsuki felt his heart swoon. Katsuki was ready to bite those chubby cheeks peppered with the most beautiful freckles. Still, he was a college student and imagined pinning Izuku against his locker in the vacant locker room, and making those perfect lips spread to let out a scream of pleasure.

“I’m going to have to cut this video short,” half-joked Katsuki, struggling to keep his mind focused on anything but asking Izuku to date him in less than polite words.

The loud, almost manic laughter erupted from Izuku again as the implications of Katsuki’s words sank in. He was infatuated with Katsuki. There was something so thrilling about being the one that caught the attention of the untouchable football captain. In the back of his mind, he was scared this was all some elaborate prank to humiliate him, but he had to trust that Toshinori wasn’t lying about Katsuki being a good person.

It wasn’t uncommon to hear all his friends talking about Katsuki. It was close to impossible not to hear the name when football was such a major sport. Katsuki was the captain and the team's best player. Besides, Izuku often visits the games.

The only problem was he never got a good look at the blonde when their classes had no overlap and Katsuki was nothing more than a small blob down on the field.

Katsuki recalled Kirishima and Izuku’s short exchange. Kirishima mentioned something about not going to as many parties due to his busy schedule. If Kirishima equated not going to parties to a complete loss of communication, he wondered just how often Izuku attended them. “Do you ever go out to parties?”

“Maybe sometimes,” admitted Izuku slowly, raising a brow to gauge just what Katsuki’s aim was. While Izuku enjoyed some dirty talk, he had no intention of being a sex toy. He had standards and he hoped that Katsuki wasn’t just a closeted player.

“Do you ever see frat boys?” questioned Katsuki quickly, feeling anxiety bubble in his gut. He didn’t want Izuku to have his eyes on loser extras. Katsuki knew that some of the frat boys were persistent and relentless when it came to sexual endeavors. Jealousy was an ugly feeling, and Katsuki didn’t like being in a competition where he could easily lose.

Izuku stilled, a bit offended Katsuki was asking about his potential romantic interests in frat boys. How could Katsuki think he had no standards? Sure, Izuku was popular and flirty when it counted, but he didn’t think he gave off the impression he’d settle for a frat boy.

Truth be told, Izuku had a fear of drinking and drugs. He was a control freak after all.

In the end he’d be lying if he said he didn’t notice some of the frat boys at the parties he attended. No matter how many people tried to hide the parties from the frat boys, they managed to find and get into the private parties. “I do see some frat boys. I don’t go for frat boys though.”

Katsuki immediately relaxed and soon realized he had been making a lot of assumptions. Sure, he was gay, but he couldn’t just assume anyone he was interested in was. Yet, he saw Izuku standing across the field on one fateful day and decided the nerd was his. Still, he didn’t have to worry about some horny men getting their hands on Izuku.

With his skin practically itching from anticipation, Katsuki knew he needed to get a better confirmation of Izuku’s sexuality. Their not-so-subtle flirting wasn’t enough. “So, what kind of guys do you go for?”

“Literally any other kind of guy,” chuckled Izuku, feeling his cheeks heat up a bit. It was clear that Katsuki was interested in him no matter what the intentions behind that interest were. Who could blame him for being flattered that Katsuki was giving him attention in a world filled with gorgeous individuals who matched Katsuki’s interests better.

Even if he was a perfect mix of calculated and impulsive, Katsuki was quick to gather the courage and make it clear where he stood. “Like football players?”

The message was direct and Izuku’s face bloomed the most stunning shade of pink Katsuki had ever seen. The shade complimented his hair and made his freckles more apparent. Still, Izuku raised a hand to tuck a stray curl behind his ear. Ignoring the adrenaline pumping in his veins, he smiled confidently. “I’ve never gone for a football player before but…”

All composure was lost, and Katsuki’s buffer vanished. “Do you like dick?”

That was all it took for Izuku to burst out into laughter. Even if Katsuki only wanted him for his body, which meant a hard rejection to an only physical relationship, Izuku had no intention of living a life without Katsuki in it. The vulgarity in Katsuki’s speech and the lack of regret in everything he said was something Izuku quickly admired. “Uh yeah.”

Katsuki couldn’t stop the grin that spread across his face, unable to believe that with the dumpster fire their conversation was, Izuku was still laughing and engaged. If his last question wasn’t enough to drive Izuku away, he might as well try to ask, “Can I get your number?”

Not even a second passed when Izuku threw his head back in laughter once more, fully captivated by Katsuki. He enjoyed the directness after all the suggestive language. Waving a hand, Izuku took a deep breath before shrugging and nodding his head. “Yeah, I guess you can get my number.”

Suddenly Katsuki felt like an elementary schooler. He remembered watching all his friends ask girls out and being surprised when they accepted. Now he understood how they felt at that moment. It was a pure, unadulterated sense of belonging and acceptance.

Despite the train wreck he presented himself to be, Izuku wanted to stick around.

“Really?”

“Yeah,” confirmed Izuku as he laughed, raising his hand, messing with his phone to pull up contacts, and offering it to Katsuki.

Kirishima stood behind the camera, wearing a disgusted expression. Izuku and Katsuki were made for each other. He couldn’t imagine any other person in the world still giving their number to Katsuki after being aggressively asked if they liked dick.

Whatever rose-tinted glasses Izuku was wearing, Kirishima wanted a pair too.

Katsuki calmly put in his digits and his name. He knew Izuku knew his name, but still, he liked the feeling of making himself known to Izuku. As soon as Katsuki went to hand Izuku his phone, a calendar notification pinged.

“Sorry, I really must go! I’ll text you, Katsuki. And Kirishima, it was a pleasure seeing you again.”

Kirishima and Katsuki both waved to Izuku and sadly said their goodbyes. They were impressed that Izuku was able to spare them a minute in the first place with how intense his schedule must be.

Izuku walked away with a pep in his step. Kirishima had been busy sending the video to himself when Katsuki’s voice reached his ears against his will.

“I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave,” sighed Katsuki, clearly admiring Izuku’s ass-sets.

Kirishima cringed, staring at Katsuki as if he’d been betrayed. “Bro, I love you… but I’m going to need you to stop talking.”

Katsuki gave Kirishima a swift punch to the arm before snatching his phone back. “Never speak of this to anyone. Let’s grab lunch… fuck interviewing anyone else.”

More than happy to stop where they were, Kirishima started walking to the one restaurant nearby he knew they both enjoyed. Katsuki smiled at his phone when he almost immediately got a text from Izuku.

Katsuki wasn’t planning on letting Izuku go after having a taste.

Grief

Izuku Midoriya was familiar with grief. Throughout his life, his precious heart loved too much. So when tragedy struck, the pain oftentimes felt unbearable. His generosity was taken advantage of far too many times. His compassion was abused. He lost people faster than he gained. Izuku Midoriya was very familiar with grief.

His father disappeared for a job across the world. Hisashi was too busy to send a text. He was too busy to say happy birthday. He was never there. All he was, was an idea. Only the thought of him existed to Izuku. The grief he felt from losing someone he never knew hurt the worst.

The people Izuku considered friends left him at the drop of a hat. No one stuck around. No one defended him. They changed faster than Izuku could comprehend. One second they played in the sand and in the next they were throwing sand at him. They were no longer people Izuku knew.

Izuku lost the one person he desired the most. Katsuki Bakugo became a star. Something so far away he’d never dream of being able to touch. Katsuki glowed and shined brilliantly. He was perfect in Izuku’s eyes. Izuku would chase Katsuki, refusing to give up. While the new version of his friend wasn’t tasteful, Izuku still knew how amazing Katsuki was deep down.

As Izuku grew up so did his list of losses. Quirkless people that he would meet on social media died. Once he got into U.A. he gained a lot of friends and strong adult figures, but just like in the past, people still left. His teachers died, many heroes died, villains died, and innocent civilians died. Midoriya at one point ran away, having to lose everyone he cared about to keep them safe. He watched the world crumble around him. Some of the people he held closest almost became memories.

Through all of it, Izuku persevered. He dealt with grief in many different ways. His method always changed and alternated depending on what and how.

Izuku was now in the middle of his third year at U.A. and couldn’t have been happier. His friends were alive, his teachers were alive, and villains were at an all-time low since the rise of quirks decades ago. Heroes were still needed by all means, but the League of Villains no longer existed and no war was about to break out.

Izuku had time to visit Eri and Kota more often as his workload was not nearly as big as it was in his first year attending U.A. The kids grew so much within two years. One day Aizawa informed Izuku he would need a babysitter for Eri. Izuku dropped everything to do so. Izuku took her out to the school’s garden, finding it a beautiful day to go outside.

Katsuki and Shoto got asked by Hatsume to go get Izuku quickly. She needed his opinion on some gear she was making for a first-year. They wanted recommendations and Hatsume knew asking the quirk analyst would help shorten down her list of ideas. The duo tracked him down to the garden with Eri after asking around.

Eri was currently weaving some flowers together, mimicking Izuku’s instructions. Izuku had asked about Aizawa and how she enjoyed living with him. Eri was more than happy to talk about her father, but suddenly she went quiet.

“Eri-chan? Is something wrong?” asked Izuku, worried that the chattering girl suddenly went silent.

Eri seemed to be contemplating something before looking up at Izuku. “Mister Deku, I have a question.”

“Go ahead,” encouraged Izuku, knowing Eri would ask no matter what. She knew she could ask Izuku anything.

Eri sat down the half-weaved flowers on the ground and focused on Izuku. “What is your Dad like? I can’t remember you ever telling me about him.”

“Oh, that’s because I never met him Eri. He went away for work before I got a chance to remember him,” revealed Midoriya, speaking to her in a soft tone.

“Why was he away for work for so long?” questioned Eri, not understanding why Izuku’s dad just wouldn’t be around.

Izuku shrugged, weaving Eri’s flowers for her. “I don’t know. His work was too important I suppose.”

Eri frowned, sad Izuku’s dad wasn’t around. “What about others?”

“Others?” repeated Izuku back to Eri, confused about what she meant.

“Yeah. The grandpas and grandmas and stuff. All of those people!” revealed Eri, a chipper grin on her face.

“Well, when I was young… they seemed to leave,” chuckled Izuku, unable to bring himself to tell her why.

Eri’s eyes widened, shocked Izuku was a lot like her. “Why did they all leave?”

Katsuki and Shoto arrived at the garden, spotting the two. They approached and saw the two talking. The expressions on Eri and Izuku’s faces signaled they were having a serious conversation. Katsuki walked right over, shamelessly snooping. Shoto went right alongside Katsuki. He wanted to know what Izuku was talking about.

Izuku was quick to come up with something, anything to keep Eri from getting too upset. He raised his head to see the sky peek through the leaves of the tree they were under.

“Sometimes special people come into our lives, stay for a bit, and then they have to go.”

Eri frowned, scooting closer to Izuku. “But that’s sad.”

“It is,” agreed Izuku solemnly. Izuku returned his gaze to Eri, resting his hands on the cloth of his slacks, smoothing out the wrinkles. He remembers how it felt to lose Toshinori. The news that Toshinori wouldn’t be around for much longer struck him in the gut so hard he couldn’t move. He couldn’t lie and say that it wasn’t hard. He smiled softly at her, tilting his head to the side. “But the bit where they were here was happy wasn’t it? Like Lemillion. When he was around, those were happy times.”

Eri’s eyes lit up, seeing the point Izuku was making. She giggled, a bright smile appearing as she nodded. “Yes! I brought his quirk back!”

Izuku hummed, nodding his head in acknowledgment. He recalled how monumental of a moment that was for everyone. Still, the thought reminded him of the war where no one walked away a winner. He pushed those feelings down, finding unconditional love for the girl he saw as his little sister.

“Maybe that makes it all worth it,” chuckled Midoriya, looking down at the flowers before putting one in her hair.

Eri smiled, touching the flower happily. She could understand what Izuku was saying. She missed Mirio always being around, but the time when he was around was a happy time. It made the time he was away bearable.

Shoto stood there, gripping the fabric of his shirt. He could feel his heart pound beneath his knuckles. The expression on Izuku’s face gnawed at him. The way Izuku said everything so mindlessly made Shoto realize Izuku thought of loss, a lot. Shoto lost a lot in his life, yet he couldn’t begin to deal with the grief in healthy ways. It took outside help to get to the point he was currently at. Even with the help he got, he couldn’t say there was anything that made it worth it. Not losing Toya, Rei, and the list of others he lost.

Katsuki watched with a blank expression. No matter what Izuku did, he couldn’t hide anything from Katsuki. Katsuki could see the strain in that smile. He could see the exhaustion replace the hope that was once in Izuku’s eyes. It made his palms sweaty. The way he felt was similar to the way a person would get when they had an itch they couldn’t scratch.

Katsuki loved Izuku. Izuku was like a porcelain sculpture, handcrafted by the heavens. Izuku's heart was made out of gold and he had the strength that could rival Gods and Goddesses. Katsuki looked at Izuku and drowned in hills of green. Izuku was the human embodiment of green: symbolic of life. His eyes, his hair, his everything.

Katsuki fell hard and Izuku had no clue. He watched Izuku tend to Eri with the maternal instincts he knew mimicked Inko. He knew deep down what Izuku was thinking the whole time. He knew what Izuku went through and how he dealt with losing people. Katsuki knew he had scared Izuku on numerous occasions when it came to “going away”.

Katsuki was about to step up and ruin the special moment, but Eri stopped him in his tracks. “Mister Deku… I don’t want you to go. You’re special.”

Izuku looked at Eri and his eyes widened. “Eri, I’m not going anywhere.”

“But you’re going to be a hero next year.”

“I am, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving you,” reassured Izuku, giving her an earnest smile.

“You’re not?” sniffled Eri.

Izuku scooped her into a gentle embrace. “Nope. Never ever.”

Eri cried into Izuku’s shoulder, hugging him tightly. Izuku rubbed circles on her back as tears made their way down his cheeks. His smile cracked as he listened to the relieved cries of Eri. Izuku pulled back and tucked her fly-away hair behind her ear before wiping away her tears. “You won’t be going anywhere either. You’re just as special.”

Eri smiled, patting Izuku’s tears as well. “Never! I’d never leave!”

Izuku laughed, rising to his feet and extending a hand out to her. “Good, because who else would I have tea parties with?”

“Yeah, and you can’t leave because no one else can make me candy apples,” threatened Eri adorably, taking Izuku’s hand and jumping up.

Izuku patted her head, smiling fondly. “Speaking of food, it’s about time we get you some lunch. What are you hungry for today?”

Katsuki revealed himself to Izuku and Eri. Todoroki magically appeared beside Katsuki and waved at the two. “Hi.”

Izuku’s face lit up. “Kacchan! Shoto!”

Katsuki crossed his arms. “Hatsume needs your help when you get the chance. Also, I’m making us lunch today. You’ll burn down the kitchen.”

“I’m completely capable of cooking Kacchan,” sassed Izuku, raising a brow. Izuku had cooked before Katsuki on numerous occasions.

Shoto lowered his head in shame. “I can’t cook.”

Eri smiled up at Shoto. “Me neither! We are the same!”

Shoto perked up, nodding at the small child. “We are.”

Izuku was distracted by the two’s little scene and smirked. “Well, neither of you has to worry about that. It seems that Kacchan has you covered since he won’t let me cook.”

“Ha! Don’t try and do that guilt-tripping bullshit Izuku,” roared Katsuki, all bark no bite.

Izuku smiled, shrugging his shoulders. “Just saying the truth Kacchan. Let’s go then, me and Eri are hungry.”

As the four made their way into the main building, Katsuki wrapped an arm around Izuku’s shoulder and bit his chubby cheek. Izuku, used to the violent forms loving Katsuki showed, lightly bonked his head against Katsuki’s.

“Nothing makes it worth it if I can’t have you by my side,” murmured Katsuki into Izuku’s ear.

Izuku’s heart melted at Katsuki’s voice and his words of affirmation. Izuku leaned his head on Katsuki’s shoulder, using his free hand to wrap around his bicep. “You know I can’t live without you either,” whispered Izuku.

Izuku may be used to grief… but he will never be prepared when the time comes he loses the ones he holds the closest for good. But for now, Izuku has everything he could ever want. Eri, Shoto, and Katsuki had everything they could ever want. As cheesy as it sounded, it was because they had each other. They had love to keep the grief at bay or they made themselves believe so.

The End!

(also ignore the fact I referenced a scene from the kid's show Bluey in the episode “Camping” 😭 and ignore the fact that I thought about making a fan fiction because of it 💔 it was emotional okay?)

Secret Love Song

Klance

The Paladins were at a coalition celebration. Yet when they entered the King was experiencing a dilemma. His singer was sick.

“I can sing if you’d like that?”

The king spun on his heels a bright smile on his face, while the Voltron team seemed embarrassed and ready for the worst.

“Really? Oh thank you, follow me we need to get you in singing attire.”

Lance’s face froze, “Attire?!?”

Hunk snorted, “Good luck buddy!”

Everyone had been wondering around conversing and waiting for Lance’s appearance.

The lights dimmed, there was a blue setting in the background. Lance rose in a beautiful blue tux, of course with and Altean touch to it, makeup smeared on his face, hair messily styled. And a cape resembling the long part of a wedding dress.

“We keep behind closed doors. Every time I see you, I die a little more. Stolen moments that we steal as the curtain falls. It'll never be enough.”

The crowd grows silent, utterly taken aback by the blue Paladins beautiful singing.

“As you drive me to my house. I can't stop these silent tears from rolling down. You and I both have to hide. On the outside where I can't be yours and you. Can't be mine”

Emotion was already apparent in his singing, his expression seemed to ease into the music the song itself beautiful, and the wide vocal range Lance had made it better.

“But I know this. We got a love that is homeless”

Lance seemed to concentrate his hands giving away his work.

“Why can't I hold you in the street?”

The pitch shocked everyone as Lance seemed almost triggered by the lyrics.

“Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?”

His body swayed as he had the crowd in a trance.

“I wish that it could be like that. Why can't it be like that? 'Cause I'm yours”

The second Lance’s eyes opened they locked onto Keith’s. The poor boys mouth was agape, his eyes wide, and he was bright red. Lance smiled softly looking out to the crowd.

“Why can't I say that I'm in love? I wanna shout it from the rooftops”

Lance smiled as he sang warmth spreading over him, the memories of butterflies and sincere loving overwhelmed him.

“I wish that it could be like that. Why can't it be like that? 'Cause I'm yours”

Lance’s eyes found Keith’s once more and decided to not look away. Oh shit, there are the butterflies.

“It's obvious you're meant for me. Every piece of you, it just fits perfectly. Every second, every thought, I'm in so deep. But I'll never show it on my face”

Lance smiled as tears whelmed up letting them fall forcing himself to look away the pain struck.

“But we know this, we got a love that is homeless”

Lance bit his lip wipping his face quickly. The crowd now emotional as well.

“Why can't you hold me in the street?”

He gripped his chest holding back as many tears as possible. Keith looked broken wanting to hold the crumbling boy on stage.

“Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?”

Holding the mic he controlled his breaking to give forth power.

“I wish that it could be like that. Why can't we be like that? 'Cause I'm yours”

Lance took his face back the vocals echoing through the castle everyone hollered.

“Why can't I say that I'm in love? I wanna shout it from the rooftops”

Flinging out an arm he furrowed his brows as he already knew tomorrow he’s struggle to speak.

“I wish that it could be like that. Why can't we be like that? 'Cause I'm yours”

Lance’s emotions almost seemed to send out a bolt of energy to the people as they received it they all smiled, this eyes watering as they know this is true emotion.

“I don't wanna live love this way”

“I don't wanna hide us away”

“I wonder if it ever will change”

“I'm living for that day. Someday”

Lance covered his mouth for a second. His mom wouldn’t accept him. Yet is she really family if she doesn’t love him for such a tiny thing? A tear fell down and he took a deep breath.

“When you hold me in the street. And you kiss me on the dance floor”

Lance’s smile appeared as he grew excited. The bubbly side to him reappearing.

“I wish that we could be like that. Why can't we be like that”

Lance grew angry, why didn’t Keith just love him. Why’d he have to just— Ugh!

“'Cause I'm yours, I'm yours”

Lance gazed at Keith extending out a hand pointing to Keith as he bounced a bright smile on his face. Keith turned as red as a tomato and looked down.

“Oh, why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?”

Lance leaned over only to see Keith approaching the stage.

“I wish that it could be like that. Why can't it be like that? 'Cause I'm yours”

Pidge handed Keith something. Lance smiled brightly tears falling.

“Why can't I say that I'm in love? I wanna shout it from the rooftops”

Lance’s head snapped as he stared as the crowd parting Keith holding a mic, his voice was beautiful. He was beautiful.

“I wish that it could be like that. Why can't we be like that?”

Lance then and there almost bursted info to tears so he let out a half relieved laugh.

“'Cause I'm yours”

Lance held his own mic as Keith stepped onto the stage.

“Why can't we be like that”

Lance watched Keith set his microphone down as he continued to sing holding his own to his mouth.

“Wish we could be like that”

Keith took Lance’s microphone deeply kissing him in a dip.

Just like that the crowd went wild. Keith picked up Lance swiftly carrying him off the stage. Laughing like little kids Lance took off the cape as Keith took his hand running down the halls onto the balcony.

Lance started dancing to the upbeat music being played. Keith happily started bouncing and twisting, holding Lance’s hands.

Keith smirked no longer moving observing Lance.

Lance immiedietly noticing awkwardly looked away, “What?”

“You’re beautiful.”

“Stop, don’t say that your the pretty boy here.”

Keith smiled softly kissing Lance. Their lips interlocked as if they were made for one another.

“I can really get used to this.”

Keith took his hand, “Yes you will, let’s head back to the party though.”

Lance smild holding Keith’s hand as they made their way down the steps.

I’m Good At Being Fake

Midoriya was given an undercover mission. Midoriya disappeared one week in, somewhere in the mess. Todoroki and Bakugo were sent in to try and find Midoriya. While it was clear sending them in was a bad idea, the hero commission pushed it anyways.

Bakugo didn’t want to go simply because it was Midoriya’s mission and if he was undercover of course he’d cut contact. Todoroki on the other hand didn’t want to go in case this messed up the mission on Midoriya’s side. If they made one wrong move, it could be the death of Midoriya.

It’s takes them a week to find Midoriya. It was exceptionally hard because of his disguise as a white-haired woman in her late twenties. Midoriya had a quirk physically change his body composition as well. His scars, freckles, and other notable feature’s were changed. The most important part was Midoriya was given a female reproductive system, breasts and all. While the goal was to slim down the body to hide muscle, Midoriya retained all the strength he currently possessed. Midoriya was a walking grim reaper in disguise.

They managed to infiltrate the building they tracked Midoriya down to. Their goal was to locate him and report his progress back to the hero commission. When they got into the security systems, they spotted Midoriya on the screen.

Midoriya sat stone-faced in his desk chair, no ounce of kindness present in his features. Todoroki and Bakugo shivered at the sight. Sitting in a chair before the desk was an attractive man around Midoriya’s scripted age. The man was a stepping stone for Midoriya, a gateway to the main target.

It seemed as if they missed a chunk of the conversation, but they managed to come in at a good time.

“How about you just tell me what you want?” grunted the man, leaning back in his seat.

Midoriya’s posture remained steady. His legs crossed and his hands were clasped, resting on his knee. His expression did not falter as he said what he wanted. “Fifty-fifty.”

Bakugo and Todoroki were momentarily taken aback by the clear change in voice. It was oddly fitting. Not to high, not too low. It was strong, but the tone of his voice was bored.

The man chuckled, rubbing his eyes. Midoriya didn’t like that reaction, his eyes darkening as he glared at the man. “As I am assuming you’re buying the shitty stuff… with your typical drug dealer markup. The margin of your profits should be about five times as much as I make drugging people under the pretense I’m a slutty prostitute.”

Todoroki paused, his gaze snapping to Bakugo’s. Neither were filled in on what Midoriya’s backstory was to his fake persona. They did not know Midoriya was a “prostitute” and “drugging people” to make money. In a way, neither could believe Midoriya was capable of playing such a difficult role. Midoriya never once seemed like the type of person to take up a gig such as the one he was currently participating in.

“If it’s not… something’s wrong. I’d be more than happy to offer my services to fix it,” offered Midoriya. His tone was strict and demanding. His gaze was sharp and piercing and he knew how to use his tongue to his advantage.

The man smirked slightly, staring at Midoriya. Todoroki and Bakugo weren’t blind, they could see the fool undressing Midoriya with his eyes. Midoriya didn’t flash an eye, not giving any attention to the mans advances. Midoriya had a goal and no drug-lord was getting into his pants.

“You know… Ruma. You look good behind that desk,” complimented the man, revealing Midoriya’s fake name.

Midoriya gaze remained the same, not feeding into his fantasies by showing interest. “Thank you.”

Giving Midoriya a look up and down, the man smirked slightly as he spoke. “Damn… you’d look so much better on top of it.”

Bakugo and Todoroki’s breaths hitched. This fucker was horny and wanted to fuck Midoriya on that desk at that very moment. There was no denying he had intentions of screwing around with Midoriya. In a way, Todoroki and Bakugo couldn’t blame him. They’d never pass up a chance to fuck their crush.

Midoriya’s eyes were like a predator’s, remaining focused on it’s prey. “We have a deal?”

The man bit his lip slowly as he looked at Midoriya and then back to the top of the desk. He subtly nodded, seeming too eager to get laid.

“Yeah. Yeah. We are good… precious,” flirted the man, his voice deep and husky.

As much as Midoriya wanted to ignore it, the seduction was working a bit. There was something so arousing about knowing someone wanted to wreck him like a beast. Despite the urge to gain friction between his legs, Midoriya knew he needed to continue playing hard to get. If he gave himself up to this man, the chase would be over and Midoriya would find himself in cold water.

Midoriya’s poker face worked like a charm. The man looked increasingly more aroused with every time his advances got rejected. Getting up from the seat, Midoriya smiled softly.

“Pleasure doing business with you,” finalized Midoriya, ending the conversation swiftly. Midoriya fixed the skirt of his dress before readjusting his hold on his purse.

Todoroki’s eyes slowly opened and closed, staring at Midoriya with an expressionless face. Bakugo’s eyes widened, giving Midoriya a double take. His hand reached up to cover his mouth as he continued to look Midoriya up and down.

Midoriya was in a skin-tight black dress. It was a square-neck with spaghetti-straps. The side of the dress had a slit going all the up to Midoriya’s hip. Once Midoriya stepped towards the door, his bright red stilettos were as clear as day.

Todoroki and Bakugo didn’t have much to report back to the hero commission after they stealthily escaped. All they could say was that Midoriya was alive and nailing his undercover roll. Midoriya even got them feeling intimidated and excited simultaneously. Midoriya would be back in no time.

Do Not Engage

There was never a dull moment with class 2A. Sure, sometimes a normal day would be nice, but realistically all the teens were used to it. With everything that happened in their first year of UA and the first couple of months of their second year, most days were eventful in a non-life-threatening way.

There was a giant shift in the class dynamic. Sure, everyone was close, but the bond was incredibly close. It was safe to say class 2A turned into one giant family.

There were also new developments. For instance, romantic relationships bloomed. Kirishima and Mina were the first to announce their relationship. After seeing how fast their life can come to an end, they didn’t want to waste another moment worrying about being rejected or ruining a friendship.

Kaminari and Jiro followed shortly after. Kaminari had a revelation during the first war that the mere thought of Jiro brought him strength. They had been tip-toeing around their feelings, too wrapped up in the chaos surrounding them to address their feelings for one another.

The most anticipated relationship was between Bakugo and Midoriya. They went through hell together, both dying during the war. Only with a miracle did they both get successfully resuscitated and recover fully. Bakugo’s heart exploded and Deku suffocated from Gearshift. Both of their hearts completely stopped. Midoriya saw Bakugo’s dead body after being dragged away. Bakugo watched as Midoriya dropped dead when the fight was over.

The duo was in recovery for months, their bodies struggling to recover from overexerting their quirks to the point of death. Similar to the others, they soon realized that with the time they had left, they wanted to spend it together. They lived in a world where the other no longer existed, no matter how long or short they were dead. They never wanted to live in a world where the other didn’t exist.

The relationship was kept between the class and the teachers. No one else in the entire world knew. They were able to love one another in the privacy of the school.

Outside of UA, the entire class was celebrities for their part in the war. Society fell apart and was built back up again. Midoriya and Bakugo were recognized as the wonder duo. Deku Midoriya and Kacchan Bakugo. Hero Deku and Hero Dynamight.

Unfortunately, some adults should never be around kids, but they were. It was an average interview, but of course, things didn’t go to plan. The wonder duo was at another interview to discuss their lives and the aftermath of the war. Reporters were notorious for either being amazing or horrible. Unfortunately, the one the duo was dealing with was a bad one.

The girl was very clearly flirting with Midoriya and at one point tried feeling his abs underneath his hero suit. Midoriya froze, feeling beyond violated. Bakugo was fuming, not only pissed but jealous that some woman was touching Midoriya. One glance at Bakugo’s face was all it took for Midoriya to have the strength to defend himself on live television.

Slapping the woman's hand away while shoving her away, Midoriya spat, “Touch me again and I’ll put you through the fucking floor.”

Bakugo grabbed Midoriya by the forearm and pulled him away. “We are leaving nerd. This pervert isn’t to be trusted to keep her hands to herself.”

“Wait, please don’t go!” begged the woman, rushing over.

Midoriya turned his attention to her and did his best to not have a visible reaction. “Why would I stay?”

“I didn’t expect you to get upset. Let’s restart!” insisted the woman, bowing her head.

“As if hag,” scoffed Bakugo, pulling Midoriya impossible closer. “You haven’t even bothered to try and apologize and you’re blaming Deku for being uncomfortable when you are the one who tried to touch him like a freak.”

“You’re weird and I’d rather not answer any questions you have for me. Let’s go Kacchan,” agreed Midoriya, finally sending a glare to the entire crew.

As the adult was begging for them to say, the duo was rushing out of the room. They’d rather relax at the dorms than worry about the stupid interview. Bakugo pulled Midoriya close and bit his cheek as soon as they were on campus.

Midoriya yelped, but let Bakugo hold him close. “Kacchan?”

“That was hot as fuck Izuku,” complimented Bakugo, happy to watch Midoriya tell someone off.

Midoriya grinned, sinking his face into Bakugo’s chest, breathing in the familiar scent of caramel mixed with the faint smell of his cologne. “Only for Kacchan.”

Bakugo barked a laugh, fondly smacking the back of Midoriya’s head. “Hey! Save it for later.”

“Okay.” Midoriya bashfully grinned, releasing Bakugo. Suddenly recalling something, Midoriya cheered, “Let’s have Katsudon!”

Bakugo rolled his eyes but wasn’t going to argue. Midoriya surprised him with super spicy mapo tofu earlier that week. Midoriya even paid a visit to Fuyumi Todoroki to make it perfect. Their love language was every kind of love language. Acts of service, physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, and receiving gifts.

When they entered the dorms, Aizawa was already waiting for them as the rest of their classmates were gathered in the common room. The duo were happily holding hands, excited about lunch. The sight of Aizawa waiting for them initially scared them, but soon relaxed remembering the interview happened.

“Are you okay Midoriya?” questioned Aizawa, hearing about what happened on the news.

“Yeah, I’m okay,” sighed Midoriya, letting go of Bakugo’s hand to get closer to Aizawa. “Just a bit shaken up.”

Aizawa nodded, fist-bumping Midoriya’s chest. “Don’t worry kid. I already have Nezu working with the company about what occurred. We are making sure that woman never has a job dealing with minors ever again.”

Bakugo grinned, stepping forward. “Good. Extra needs to learn her place. If Midoriya hadn’t done something I would’ve blasted her ass to space.”

Midoriya grinned, never feeling safer as Aizawa and Bakugo talked about the ways they wanted to keep him safe. Aizawa ended up following class 1A throughout the years with Nezu’s permission. Sure, Aizawa was the best at raising young heroes, but he needed his kids and his kids needed him.

Aizawa simply nodded at what Bakugo said and turned his attention back to Midoriya. “As long as you're okay kid. I’m proud of you for setting your boundaries.”

Midoriya grinned, feeling a secure hand on his waist. “Thank you. I was happy to make it clear I don’t tolerate unsolicited touch.”

Bakugo guided Midoriya to the kitchen attached to the common room only to hear the crowd rushing over. Uraraka practically tackled Midoriya as she screamed, “I’m so proud of you!”

Kaminari laughed, his arm hanging around Jiro’s shoulder. “Yeah, that was really fun to watch.”

Jiro grinned, nodding at the duo. “Watching Bakugo get all huffy and overprotective was hilarious.”

“I thought it was rather adorable. Besides, we were all freaking out when she touched Midoriya,” chuckled Momo with a nod and a fond smile on her face as she looked at an irritated Bakugo.

Todoroki held up his phone, pointing to where Aizawa was napping. “I told Aizawa about what happened so he could get the lady in trouble.”

Midoriya couldn’t help but laugh from where he and Uraraka were lying on the ground. “You guys are crazy.”

“Nah bro, what that lady did was unacceptable. We were all excited to watch the interview, but we were more excited to see you two put her in her place,” complimented Kirishima as he shook his head, walking over to where the group was starting to congregate.

“Honestly, what a nightmare,” sighed Mina, disgusted that a grown adult thought it was okay to touch a teenager like that on live television.

Midoriya nodded, allowing Bakugo to pull him up onto his feet. “Sure I was irritated, but honestly I wouldn’t have stood up for myself if it wasn’t for the fact I’m madly in love with Kacchan.”

Bakugo elbowed Midoriya, eyes narrowed despite the way his face was flushed a beautiful red. “You better be! I’m the best.”

“Kacchan is the best,” declared Midoriya, wearing a happy smile. “I’ll happily destroy anyone who tries to pull us apart.”

“Okay, calm down Freckles,” grumbled Bakugo, still flushed. He couldn’t deny that he liked it when Midoriya was all possessive. After a moment of silence, he mumbled, “Love you Izuku.”

Midoriya turned his body to crush Bakugo in a hug. “I love you too Kacchan!”

Class 2A was never going to let Bakugo hear the end of it.

My Survival Can’t Depend On You

I may be fourteen, but shit happens.

Hisashi Midoriya died. Inko Midoriya was unfit to work. Izuku Midoriya couldn’t get a job. Inko had many health problems which resulted in her being unable to get a job for her own safety. Izuku was not only too young to get a well-paying, full-time job, but he was also quirkless. No one would hire a young quirkless teenager, it just wouldn’t happen.

Izuku wasn’t doing well. Aldera Junior High was a nightmare that he couldn’t escape even when he got home. Cyberbullying chased him in his home and terrors flooded his dreams. To top off his horrible life, Izuku’s secret boyfriend disappeared randomly. No letter, no text, no nothing.

In a state of despair, Izuku gave himself up. Izuku applied for a bunch of rich men looking for a husband. Izuku matches with a twenty-three-year-old being pressured by his family to marry. He was kind and well-spoken. Inko refused to allow the marriage to happen at first, not wanting her son to take the bullet for her. Unfortunately, she had to give in when she realized this would be the only outcome. The only difference would be her existence.

Inko says no, gets a job, and dies. Izuku would be left alone and would get married to survive anyways. Inko says yes, doesn’t get a job, and lives. Izuku would have her support and would be in a smartly planned arranged marriage. This was the better outcome.

Inko surprisingly got along well with her son’s fiancé’s family. Izuku and his fiancé had similar interests and easily got along. The pairing wasn’t the end of the world even if it felt horribly wrong deep down. Izuku had been promised they wouldn’t have to do anything sexual. The marriage was to keep the money rolling in and the family's company in good standing.

Izuku got married within a month of the agreement being finalized. The wedding was glamorized. High-profile idols and celebrities were present at the wedding. Izuku was adored by all, considering his innocent and harmless personality. Izuku was energetic yet kind, making him a magnet for people. He was also headstrong yet easy to compromise with so differences could be put aside and deals could be made with ease.

Izuku and Inko moved into his fiancé’s mansion. The entire family lived there considering it was a ginormous home. The family's name was Tominaga. Yuji was the first name of Izuku's husband. As much as Inko and Izuku hated to admit it, the marriage made them happier. They were no longer alone, brought into the high-status lifestyle by the Tominaga family's new and old money.

Inko now had friends and a good support system. While Mitsuki and Masaru were still good friends, neither bothered to keep in touch. Izuku had a person that would be by his side through thick and thin. Izuku was also introduced to popular celebrities and made his way into the hero world through connections. Soon his ex left his mind as he focused on his husband and helping him with his work.

Aldera became more manageable. Izuku's last name changed so it was now Midoriya-Tominaga. They agreed to combine last names. The principal had a meeting about the situation and found Izuku's situation heartbreaking. Teachers also found out about the name change and didn’t know what to think about it. Some teachers were the same age as Izuku’s husband. The thought of Izuku marrying someone as old as them made them uncomfortable on Izuku's behalf. How could Izuku be married to someone their age?

The school year continued, Izuku met All Might, and Izuku continued climbing upwards. Everything came to a standstill when Izuku spotted Gima Iori, his ex. School had just ended and people flooded outside the campus. Gima was standing a bit before the gates, seeming to look around for someone.

Gima's head turned in Izuku's direction and their eyes locked. Izuku felt a wave of emotions wash over him and soon all he saw was red. The world around him disappeared as he stormed forward. His breathing picked up as betrayal struck his gut.

“Izuku.”

Izuku's fist flew out before he even had a chance to think about it. The one word he wanted to say more than anything beautiful slipped from his lips. “Motherfucker!”

Gima’s head snapped from the hard punch, yelping in pain. “Jesus!”

Everyone standing around outside the Aldera building stopped and watched Izuku punch the shit out of this random guy. Katsuki and his two lackeys Aikawa and Ugumori were stunned into silence. They had been following after Izuku to bully him on his way home. They watched as his pace picked up. They watched him approach someone they didn’t know. They watched him punch the guy into oblivion, sounding beyond pissed.

Izuku pushed a hand against Gima’s face and shoulder before shoving him harshly. Izuku's mouth was turned into a deep frown as he yelled, “Where the fuck have you been?”

The group of students took a moment to look at the guy. He was drop-dead gorgeous. He had stylish black hair that fit the fashion trends. His uniform was red and grey, consisting of a blazer, undershirt, tie, and some slacks. Izuku's punch did some damage as the guy's hair was roughed up. The guy's nose was broken and his lips were busted so some blood decorated his face.

No one knew who he was, but they wanted to.

“I’m bleeding!” complained Gima, touching his face in slight disbelief.

“You disappear! You don’t return my calls!” screamed Izuku as he smacks Gima’s head. Without missing a beat Izuku continues. “My texts—!”

“I had something come up,” grunted Gima in defense, remaining vague about what the problem was.

Izuku visibly didn’t like that answer and wore a pissed smile on his lips as he back-hand-slapped Gima. Gima stumbled, nearly falling from the force of the blow. “Oh! Fuck!”

Katsuki stiffened, watching Izuku attack this stranger with the anger of a thousand gods. He exchanged a look with his two pals and they all looked equally as bewildered. Izuku was cursing, fighting, and making a scene. He never once did these things and avoided them at all costs. To see him doing it so mindlessly made them weary. Whoever this was really crossed Izuku. From the sounds of it, it seems like they’re a backstabber of some sort.

Izuku cried in anguish at Gima. “Fuck!”

Gima ducks away, shouting at Izuku. “Stop hitting me!” Gima rubs his face, trying to soothe the pain in his nose and to check if it was broken.

Izuku took his chance and kicked Gima from behind in his ass.

“Ah! God damn it, enough!”

Izuku kicked him again, resulting in Gima backing away more. “Enough! With the hitting.”

Izuku's fists were clenched, staring at Gima like he was scum. Gima was nothing more than gum on the bottom of Izuku's shoe. Gima swallowed hard and stared at Izuku as he anticipated another attack. Students stood around, whispering and murmuring about what was happening. Some recorded the fight to send it to their friends.

The guy held up a finger, signaling Izuku to wait. “Are you done?”

“Where Gima? Where?” shouted Izuku, anger still visible, but a mix of hurt and confusion is just as present as he searched for an answer.

Gima nodded his head, coming up with a stream of lies. Their conversation died down and wasn’t very easy to hear so some people left, not interested anymore. Many remained, wanting to see what would happen.

Izuku raised his hands to emphasize his point. “For weeks for months?”

Gima nodded, stepping forward. “About a year. On a boat, on a cruise actually.”

“And not a call? Not a text?” accused Izuku, his voice raising again at the bullshit explanation he was being handed.

Gima grew angry upon seeing Izuku wasn't buying his lies. He started yelling nonsense, something about being handcuffed and having a bucket or something to piss in. No one present was buying his elaborate story as well.

Katsuki scoffed, pointing at Gima. “This extra is a fucking idiot. Who would buy that pathetic story?"

“Yeah man. Seems like this Gima dude ghosted Midoriya and is trying to come back like nothing happened,” agreed Ugumori, enjoying the sight of Izuku holding his own.

Aikawa sighed, looking at Izuku. “You’re onto something… but it’s not adding up. Why would Midoriya be so angry about something like that? There has to be more to it. Midoriya never gets angry like this.”

Midoriya lip trembled in anger, getting in Gima’s face. “For a year?”

“For a while, yeah,” spat back Gima, trying to sound convincing as he continued to ramble.

Gima walked around Izuku, causing Izuku to face Katsuki and the others at an angle. Gima was rambling about nonsense and Izuku clearly wasn’t relenting. He looked in a state of disbelief, unable to comprehend Gima’s stupidity. Gima’s performance showed Izuku he thought Izuku was nothing more than a forgiving idiot who had no self-worth. Gima thought Izuku was stupid and that enraged Izuku. Izuku rolled his eyes and scoffed, “That’s bullshit.”

Gima continued talking which was a bad choice as his story got more and more unbelievable. Everything that happened was a stretch and impossible. All it sounded like was an excuse. And that’s all it was: an excuse.

“Then who the hell was that bitch I saw on your account? Yeah, in that post you magically were able to take a picture in the middle of your traumatizing experience?” questioned Izuku, crossing his arms to close himself off. Izuku glared, as he leaned forward in a dominant manner.

“My partner!” yelped Gima. His cheeks heated up as he was caught in a lie.

“Your partner? As in your new play-toy?” remarked Izuku condescendingly, glaring at Gima.

“No, my partner as in crime! And shit, you’re one to talk. You got married!” shouted Gima, spilling the secret Izuku kept in front of everyone.

Conversations halted, cameras stilled, jaws dropped, and breathing stopped. No one believed what had just come out of Gima’s mouth. There was no way Izuku was married, let alone in a relationship. Izuku was a quirkless loser who wasn’t even close to being a legal adult. Gima had been spewing nonsense the entire time so Izuku being married was hard to believe when it came out of Gima's mouth.

Izuku shot back immediately, all his emotions out for the world to see as he bled. He leaned forward, his frown deep as the wrinkles on his forehead appeared from his scowl. His eyes were full of hate, pain, and shame.

“What was I supposed to do? Was I supposed to sit on my porch knitting, hoping one day for you to show back up?” yelled Izuku, the resentment in his words sending chills down everyones spines.

Just like that, Izuku had revealed to everyone that what Gima had said was true. Izuku was married. Izuku also revealed Gima was Izuku's ex-boyfriend and that Gima had ghosted him. Gima was an asshole and Izuku somehow got caught up in a marriage in under a year from the sound of it.

Tears were falling down Izuku's face as he yelled, jabbing his hands at Gima. “You disappeared! Gone! Nothing!”

Katsuki watched Izuku lose his shit. Katsuki stood there, seeing the dam of pent-up emotions flooding Izuku's senses. Katsuki saw the destruction that Gima had caused Midoriya. Katsuki stepped forward a bit, finding the power to move again under the tension of the situation.

Gima pinched his nose. Looking at the sky before letting his eyes trail back to Izuku. “I think you deviated my septum.”

Izuku smiled at him in disgust, crossing his arms. “Good. You’re lucky I didn’t have a knife.”

The comment Izuku made caught everyone's attention. Izuku was never one for violence. Izuku was always talking about wanting to save people and become a hero. Mentioning he would’ve stabbed Gima if he had a knife was the very opposite of the Izuku everyone knew.

Izuku raised a hand to his face, wiping the tears that rested on his cheeks before shaking his head. “Oh, Jesus fuck.”

“I know, I know,” sighed Gima, the guilt and disappointment twisted in his sullen expression.

Izuku stepped back, looking away from Gima. “I can’t even look at you right now.”

“Trust me, I didn’t want to see you either. Finding out your boyfriend is married is the last thing you want to hear,” recalled Gima, making Izuku the bad guy.

Katsuki glared at the asshole, feeling blood boil. “No way this bastard is about to pin this all on Deku.”

“Sorry dude but it seems like that is what’s happening,” sighed Aikawa.

Izuku glared at Gima, pointing. “You don’t get to act like a poor little victim. I know you were happily fucking around on the cruise your disgusting job bought you.”

Most people at Aldera got excited, happy Izuku wasn’t going to let Gima step all over him. Even Katsuki found himself smirking.

“I didn’t even want to get married!” revealed Izuku, throwing his hands out.

“Oh really? Then why did you?” sneered Gima, demanding an explanation he didn’t deserve.

“You proved to me that my survival can’t depend on you. You fucking left without a word. While you were gone my father died and we had no money. My mom couldn’t get a job because I’d rather have her live. So I married a rich guy. Yuji can actually take care of me and my mom financially! I can help him with whatever he needs and I get food on the table, a house over my head, and my mother by my side!”

Katsuki let out a defeated sigh. The truth finally hit him. Izuku was married to some random man and was stuck in a loveless marriage. He never heard about the wedding which meant Inko didn’t even tell his mother about it. This meant Izuku and Inko were going through all of this absolutely alone. Izuku had to sacrifice his love for a random marriage. Izuku didn’t even know what dating felt like and suddenly he was dressed in white and told to walk down the aisle for hundreds to see.

While dread overcame Katsuki, he enjoyed Midoriya insulting Gima indirectly. He also was proud of Izuku for saying everything he did for himself and Inko. Izuku made a big sacrifice for him and his mother's safety and health. Izuku made a selfless choice which as result made Gima look like a huge asshole.

Gima stilled, eyes widening at the information dropped on him. Trying to deflect his guilt, Gima scoffed. “So what? Instead of working an actual job, you turned into a whore?”

It was clear Gima and Izuku were still in their own world because many gasps could be heard. People’s phone’s all shook in rage at how big of an asshole Gima was. Katsuki and his lackeys felt themselves get pissed.

“Gima, are you fucking stupid? I’m quirkless.”

Izuku's hostility surprised Katsuki. For Izuku to call Gima stupid for telling him to get a job was shocking. He and the rest of the class had always mocked Izuku for wanting to be a hero. What no one had thought about was his inability being unable to get a job, let alone a position as a police officer.

Gima rolled his eyes. “All I’m hearing is an excuse. Marriage is meant to be out of love, not convince.”

Izuku rolled his eyes back, letting out an exasperated sigh. “I’ve always known I would marry rich. If I marry, might as well be a rich person. Why would I be ashamed of that?”

“Because you’re sleeping around with a grown man for money.”

“There is no “sleeping around” and there isn’t really any love right now. It’s a business exchange.”

Breathes of relief could be heard when Izuku revealed nothing sexual occurred. The marriage was strictly business. Izuku got money for being married to Yuji and Yuji got money because his status as a married man helped the business. Katsuki felt his fists fall and his breathing even.

“Yeah and that business exchange could also be you working a normal job,” argued Gima, showing he was really bitter about Izuku moving on.

“That’s not possible. I’m quirkless… and as a quirkless person, there’s no way for me to make my own money. Not enough to earn a living or to support my family. And if I had my own money—which I don’t, that money would belong to my husband the moment we got married. And if we had children, they would be his, not mine. They would be his property. So don’t stand there and tell me that marriage isn’t an economic proposition because it is. May not be for you, but it most certainly is for me.

Gima stood there, failing to come up with anything to say. He had been grasping for straws, but he finally ran out. Gima was fumbling out a bunch of grunts and embarrassed huffs. He had embarrassed himself in front of everyone.

Katsuki immediately found guilt nagging him in the back of his head. He had thought he was the worst of it, but discrimination goes deeper than bullying. Izuku clearly had been thinking about his future for a long time, weighing his options. It was being a hero or nothing at all for Izuku. Suddenly everything made a lot more sense. Marriage was the only other way he could make a living since no one would hire a quirkless person for a well-paying full-time job.

Many of Izuku's peers didn’t realize the marriage situation for a quirkless person was significantly different than anyone with a quirk. While quirk marriages were illegal to protect people with quirks, quirkless people were brushed under the rug. Quirkless people could be sold off, owned, or thrown away and the government wouldn’t blink an eye. Being protected by the rich was the only way to survive. Izuku wanted to live for himself by being a hero.

Izuku cleared his throat, wiping his face to erase any hint of care he had for Gima’s existence. “You treated me like shit. I’m happy you ran away because I want nothing to do with you. If wanting to keep my mom healthy and alive makes me a whore, so be it. You’re nothing more than a douchebag who thinks with his dick more than he does with his brain. Get the hell away from my school and stay the hell away for me. Next time I’ll have a knife.”

Gima swallowed hard, frozen under Izuku's glare. Izuku stepped up and sighed, staring at Gima before sending a final blow. The crack managed to echo outside when Izuku's fist made contact with Gima's face. Gima collapsed to the ground, unconscious. Izuku stood over him, looking down at his body with disgust.

“That’s what you get for calling me a whore,” murmured Izuku, rubbing his knuckles.

Stepping on his body before walking, Izuku fixed his hair before disappearing. Katsuki clapped his hands before laughing. “That’s what I like to see.”

Months passed and Izuku got into U.A. flawlessly. Izuku took the recommendation exam. Yuji’s work friend was married to a pro-hero that had attended U.A. and happily recommended Izuku. Izuku remained married to Yuji upon finding the stable relationship comforting. That meant he could easily reject people, avoid worrying about love, and focus on his training.

Katsuki and Izuku had gotten along well after Izuku's stunt at school. People respected Izuku after seeing what he was capable of. Inko reconnected with Mitsuki and Masaru after Katsuki told them about Izuku. That resulted in the duo hanging out whenever Mitsuki and Masaru would visit or Inko would visit.

Katsuki met Yuji and deemed him a respectable figure. He was protective, understanding, and compassionate. They were traits that matched Izuku's needs and the two worked well together. Neither was sexually attracted to the other for many reasons so their marriage seemed more like a dumb marriage pact two friends would have.

Things would work out in the end. Izuku would become a pro-hero. Yuji would find another suitable husband he fell in love with. Izuku and Yuji would divorce. Izuku would buy a place for him and Inko to live that was close to Mitsuki and Masaru’s.

Izuku would finally let himself fall in love. Katsuki would happily let Izuku love him. They’d get together and take things slow. Izuku would finally experience something he’s deprived himself of and grow addicted.

The End.

Inspired by Fiona and Jimmy's fight in Shameless and the conversation between Amy and Laurie in Little Women. They matched up perfectly with the plot I came up with two days ago in the shower.
