An Lian: *looks up from his camera and looks at the letters blankly before his eyes widen and he snatches them out of his cousin hand* Oh! these are letters- from um..my darling.

Red Son: *rolls his eyes* Oh so it's from that scientist spider.

An Lian: *narrows his eyes while putting the letters away* His name is Syntax, please do refrain from having that dislike towards him. I don't have any dislike towards your partner, even if she's a bit strange.

Red Son: *lightly scoffs* Arrow is not strange and do not tell me to refrain dear cousin, I still have this annoyance towards him and the rest of the spiders for their attack against my father and I!

An Lian:*faintly sighs before nodding* Fair enough. *he stretched before perking* I remember now, I have those photos that you requested of your partner.

Red Son: *raises a brow before remembering and lightly blushes* Ah- yes that

How To Make a Naturally Intimidating OC Seem Soft

So a while ago, I reblogged an old post from my first letmehelpyouwrite blog talking about intimidating OCs and how different people find different types of people intimidating, such as people that are too quiet, too loud, too tall, and so on.

Since I can’t find the part II of that post talking about how to turn your intimidating OC into a “teddy bear” OC, I will just rewrite it. So, without further ado, here goes nothing!

There are many different reasons why an OC can be intimidating. They can cause overstimulation, they can just unnerve naturally quiet people if they’re too loud… but no matter why Person A finds your OC intimidating, here are some ways that same OC can find them to be a snuggly teddy bear.

1. They talk softly to something harmless. If your OC that is normally loud and boisterous suddenly turns to a little child and is soft and quiet with them, that can be a very endearing thing to encounter. Your OC that normally would find this person intimidating would suddenly be overtaken with the “aww” factor. This would especially be true if the harmless creature is something that Person A loves themselves.

2. They give really warm hugs. Maybe your OC isn’t too prone to giving hugs but as soon as they do, it’s the kind of hug that grabs onto your heartstrings and tugs with all its got. They are great huggers and therefore less intimidating.

3. They have a really irrational fear that makes it seem silly that they could ever do harm. Like maybe they’re afraid of really cute monkeys or are afraid of clowns. Don’t seem so intimidating now, do they? Bonus points if they freak out in front of your OC.

4. For really tall OCs, if they like to give a short OC piggyback rides or otherwise hold/pick them up. This kind of goes with #1 but when something big and intimidating is seen being gentle and soft and careful with something small, it tends to kick in that “aww” factor along with a sense of protectiveness that just can’t be bad.

5. For tall OCs, if they do something random and silly. The sillier it is, the better. But make sure it isn’t overstimulating because overstimulation can kick in the intimidation factor and make OCs fearful.

6. For quiet OCs, they could do something weird and totally out of character for them. It should be something that seems silly or comical, to put less tension on their quiet tendencies and more thoughts on how cute and silly they are.

Here are just a few ways that an OC can be made to seem like a cuddly little monster teddy bear. I may add more later, but for now that’s it. Feel free to add your own to the stockpile!

Here's Iris and her family!

First her papa and mama, Benigno and Gabi. Benigno lived in China since he was kid, he grew up with his childhood friend and the two ended up married, the two happy with their lives with him working as a dance teacher..though there days would darken and 2 years later his wife passed away. With that he left his job and moved back to Mexico to clear his head. Once there he stayed cooped up on his family farm before he got himself a job at the market. There he met Gabi, a divorced mama and her daughter Xavier who camed back from the states a year prior. The two found each other company to be comforting and the love that formed between them only grew once they learned of each other love for dancing. Anyways timeskiping here- the two got married, had 3 more kids and moved back to China as Benigno was offered a job opportunity and the kids were old enough. They're now both dance teachers, both tough and sweet folks. The two are alright with Iris and Yin relationship (Benigno moreso as the two remind him of his first relationship)

Xavier the step sister, she's somewhere in her late 40s and is a blogger/cyclist/. She loves herself comfy clothes and is always wearing her green hoodie whenever she can. She blogs about her travels and loves sending flowers as gifts. She stayed in Mexico when the rest of the family moved to China.

Her 2nd eldest siblings, Roma! In her 30s. She got a temper and is stubborn as heck. Her fiery attitude often lands her in some hot water, but she can usually talk her way out of it once she cools down. She's protective of her family's, yes families. Roma here is a mother to two kids and has a loving husband. Anyways she's protective as heck and she doesn't understand what Iris sees in that no good silver demon. She plans on going back to Mexico someday...even if it means leaving her husband and kids.

3rd oldest sibling her brother Mateo, nicknamed Mocha due to his love for it. He's 31, a wedding planner and a good one at that. He's outgoing, a smooth talker like Roma and he has a quite of an annoyance towards MK and any of the villains that he has fought. Why you might ask? Well some weddings have been ruined thanks to them and it chips away at him every single time. Like all the time and effort gone just like that! Don't get him started on the bridezillas or grooms-. It takes everything in him to not lose his temper! Anyway, he has a marigold tattooed on his neck and the skeleton of his arm and hand tattooed on his right arm and hand. An eyebrow piercing and heavy eye shadow (much to his parents disapproval)

btw this is Iris (I'm saying this because I haven't drawn her that much-)
