See, I'm a deeply watsonian soul. To me, StephCass is so special because they're so obviously soulmates, but they aren't easily defined. How are they soul mates? Are they qpr? Romantic? Do they fuck? Do they even kiss? Do they even realize they're together? Idk if anything but 2000's mall emo about deeply homoerotic friendship will ever really capture them, and even then that music can be a stretch. They're obsessed with eachother, they never talk about it, they'd die for eachother but they're still calling themselves friends as they crawl into their shared bed. What are they? Not in those pride specials, thank god.

it's made it into their tags too. I scrolled through an entire page of Danny Phantom crossovers while in the stephcass tag the other day. It's not annoying per say, just a lot. especially when it's really a batboy fic and they're a two word background mention.

The best part about Cass hallucinating Steph -- and that part that can be hard to remember, because Steph is on the page right in front of us just like she's "real" -- is that this is the Steph that Cass is creating in her mind.
