but he sees a shooting star, puts his hand on his chest (hello????) and thinks of sasuke with such a peaceful expression on his face

he compliments sakura (disguised as sasuke) by saying she has a large charming forehead (i know it’s what she wanted to hear but like,,, this is so funny to me)

but with sasuke... he looks cool (the japanese word can be used to compliment someone’s looks 🤠). and not only he says it, but he emphasises at the end ♡

he’s sitting doing absolutely nothing but thinking of sasuke

but when sakura shows up he says he was planning of going on a date with her lol

he’s soooo in love with sakura but rejects her and says she’s lying

and moments later he has a panic attack at the thought of losing sasuke.

oh... and remember that this arc happens right after pein, in which he also got a love confession from hinata but never addressed it again 🤠

mom told me to find a woman just like her but i’m gonna change the subject

idk it feels like he mimics heterosexuality by pretending to like sakura while masking his attraction/feelings for sasuke for a rivalry and later a friendship. the way he shows waaaay more interest in sasuke than he ever did in sakura or any other girl really gets me
