Summary: Everyone is born with words on their wrist, words their soulmate will say to them someday. You have the words "I love you" written in golden cursive on your wrist. (Dream x Reader)
You have grown up fearing the words "I love you". When your first boyfriend says it to you for the first time, you start crying. The relationship didn't end up lasting long but in every relationship you've had, it ends not too long after they say they love you.
You can't say the words back. Not because you don't love them, you always have, but trying to force the words out of your throat only brings vile, disgusting throw-up clawing its way out of your mouth.
Nothing about that ever changed when you got into your most recent relationship. You got the same chest-squeezing fear the first time Dream said "I love you" except after hearing your explanation, he didn't leave. He promised you never to leave saying "I love you" so that you never had to be scared of something bad happening.
Until it did.
You have never trusted someone as much as you have Dream, he is a sweetheart, he cares so deeply, and he loves you in the most honest way you've ever had anyone love you. He's the first person you've ever told you loved, and he's the one you're most scared of losing.
You wanted so desperately for him not to be your soulmate, only so you never had to lose him. But life doesn't always work out that way.
You were walking home together after dining out at a local pizza place, hands swinging together as you walked. It's such a peaceful night, a full moon shining down from above.
"We should eat out more often," Dream sighed happily. "I've never had better pizza."
That was pretty true but, "You said you were going to diet with Nick," You point out. Dream groans, pouting dramatically at you. "You can't just abandon him. He needs you."
"That pizza needs me!" Dream shakes his head with a laugh. "But fine, maybe another time. When he drops it in a week, we can all go together."
You try to hide your fond smile, "You're the reason his diets don't work out."
"Oh please," Dream scoffs. He then pauses and nods, "Yeah no, that's actually pretty true. But I have helped him work out so it evens out."
You giggle at his cute pouty face. "Whatever helps you sleep at night, babe."
Dream can't even pretend to look mad, cheeks flushed at the nickname. He coughs, "I picked last time right? What movie do you wanna see today?"
"Maybe Coraline. I haven't watched it in a few months, I kinda miss the funky little clay people," Dream pouts again at your words.
"Hey, I'm the only little Clay person you need."
You press twin kisses to his freckled cheeks. "Of course, you are, babe."
You're both laughing as you walk down the street. All you can see is his face, his smile, and the way the moon bounces off his hair. Headlights light up every freckle, every strand of his stubble. There is nothing but Dream, his wide eyes, and you.
And then he's pushing you. You fall hard on your back, pushing yourself up instantly and staring, misty-eyed, at the car that's speeding past Dream's still body.
You can't remember much. You know you had started screaming only because people started pouring out onto the street. You do remember holding Dream's hand, carefully cradling his face. You were probably crying.
His eyes fluttered open for only a second and he smiled, teeth bloody, the second he saw your face. After a second of open-mouthed silence, his voice croaked out quietly. "I love you."
You don't remember anything more from the night. Dream didn't make it. You were gone soon after.
{《☆》}
[Whoops, forgot to mention it was "Last thing your soulmate says to you" AU. My bad. Anyway, Dream is my little meow meow. He might've lied about being blonde and his freckles but honestly I had no expectations (my mental image of him is still a blob, ngl).]
[Tell me any other sad prompts you have, I might end up writing them, who knows :)]

I have to say Wildest Wills and No Friends absolutely ruined me in the best ways possible! Although I don’t expect a second part to No Friends, I’m so genuinely curious on what could happen afterwards because betrayal seems to be the only plausible option in Squid Game and I do enjoy myself some angst and romance! I think it’s so incredibly well-written and the speed of each game event flowed well enough for me to grasp at what standpoint they’re at.
I do hope you continue Wildest Wills especially! There’s so much content to work off of from where you left it and I’m just so obsessed with the concept! I liked how they met and I think following them in their journey together would be so incredible to read and see how they grow with each other. I’m such a simp for the Dream Team and Bad! I’m also such a sucker for badass readers wielding swords and kicking ass so I may be a bit biased for this specific work!
I really adore where your going with all your other writings! I haven’t read all of them yet but I’m obsessed enough to know I’ll be speedrunning them soon enough! I don’t know why but I really enjoy your portrayals and the way you depict scenes and characters! I hope you don’t mind the long comment I’m just absolutely wow’d!
So I don't think I'm going to continue No Friends but I will reveal some of my writing thoughts behind it since you're curious!
So it's based off a song with the exact same name. But uh, the nightcore version because... yup.
I had just finished Squid Game at the time and so I was like, yes this is a good idea. And then it was but it was also a lot of work and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
The "ending" I included is 100% fake. No minors were in Squid Game, though certain LManburg adults were. If i had to make an ending, I'm a sucker for angst but I also want happy endings so probably breaking your way out but then one of your sacrificing yourself to save the others.
If I had to decide a concrete ending with no "They all live" endings, Sapnap would be the winner. George would be too weak to survive too long, Dream would be taken down by Wilbur killing both of them, and Sapnap would in the end survive by killing Fundy, who had helped kill George.
So! I'm currently writing a pt 2 to Wildest Wills : Currently unnamed. Not going to spoil it! But! Expect some good old SBI ha ha :)
And omg you are so sweet!!! I really enjoy writing and I'm so glad all of you guys enjoy my writing too!!! Have a great day, you're incredible!!!

Description: Wilbur is a hopeless romantic and Tommy likes to eat dirt. (Wilbur x MReader)
[Read the rest under the cut]
{《☆》}
Wilbur picks at the dirt under his fingers as he sits through math class. His math teacher doesn't try to get him not to, even though he's the weird type. Tries too hard, acts too odd, calls tests 'festivals of learning'. Honestly, he kind of regrets doing this exchange program just because of that.
Well, not really. Wilbur likes this odd school, even if it's kinda fucked up. It has good music programs and he has a lot of good friends, a surprising amount of them British as well. And well... he maybe, sort of, kind of but not really, has a crush.
Wilburs face flushes just thinking about it. He ducks his head lower and picks his pencil up to pretend he's doing his work instead of daydreaming.
He glances over at you, doodling something one the margins of your math book with a small smile you probably didn't even realize you had. Wilbur sighed deeply, unable to look away as you fiddled with the pencil, almost dropping it. God, he thought you were gorgeous.
You looked up briefly and Wilbur panicked and snapped his head back down. He waited a few minutes, actually starting his math problems before he chanced a glance up. You were back to drawing and he relaxed with a relieved sigh. And then you looked back up again.
{《☆》}
Wilbur didn't know which God he had to thank that day but you didn't seem weirded out. In fact, you smiled at him in the hall earlier and almost made him have a heart attack. Wilbur hid his blushing face in his hands for a second, ignoring the conversation Fundy and Eret were having next to him.
"Are you good, Wil?" Niki asked, her lunch laid out neatly in front of her. She brushed her hand over his shoulder. "You look kind of red."
"I'm fine," he squeaked out, patting her hand before trying to shake it off. "Sorry, I'm good."
"He's having a breakdown because (Y/N) smiled at him earlier," Technoblade, the prick, says with no hint of remorse.
Wilbur scowls at him, kicking his leg under the table. "Shut it."
"Aww," Fundy coos mockingly, with a faked high-pitch British accent. "The fish fucker is in love."
"Not you too," Wilbur groans, flicking a bit of corn at the ginger.
"I think it's sweet how much you like him," Eret said, the only one Wilbur respected anymore. He picked up a piece of celery and talked while he chewed, "Even if it's just made you a bigger simp."
"I'm leaving," Wilbur says with a scowl, picking up his tray. He doesn't usually eat much during lunch anyways but the conversation made him lose the rest of his appetite. But, of course, the universe hated him.
Wilbur slammed into someone, sending corn all over himself, ruining his freshly washed navy jumper. "Just great, can you–,"
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," You said, reeling back. Your own lunch was tipped over the try, pouring out but somehow managing not to stain your clothes. "I didn't mean to! I'm so sorry."
"It's fine, you're good" He managed to say through a strangled throat. He set the empty tray on an empty table and started brushing corn off of his sweater, which stuck to it with a grudge.
"Here," You said, coming back when Wilbur didn't even notice you left. In your hand was a bunch of clumped up napkins that you very quickly shoved in his hands, shifting feet nervously. After a second of Wilbur rubbing corn off of his sweater, your face falls when you realize just how stained it was. "Oh no, your sweater. I ruined it."
"It's okay, I was- I was going to donate it anyway," He fumbled over his words, lying because, well, you were you. Grimacing a bit, he powered through. "It's not the best thing to wear for the rest of the day but it'll make do."
You seemed dejected either way. "I can go put your tray back for you?"
"You're fine, really. It was an accident," Wilbur assured you it was, dropping the messy napkins on his tray. Patting his sweater and grimacing at the way it was still wet. "I'll just go,"
"Wait," You blurted out, hands raised in a minor panic. A sudden thought rang in your brain and you quickly reached for your backpack. In your hands was a plain yellow sweater, one that looked (way too big/perfect/a bit small) for your size and something that would fit Wilbur well enough to last the day. "I had a backup sweater in my backpack and since I kinda ruined yours, I think it's only fair you use it."
Wilbur hesitated, shaking his head. "No it's fine, really."
"Please," You practically begged, giving Wilbur the sweetest puppy dog eyes he's ever seen. "I feel so bad. It's no trouble."
"Alright," He muttered, ducking his head but unable to hide the bright pink flush that spread across his face. He pulls the navy jumper off, careful not the touch the wet spot to his face.
You were looking away (if pale: face flushed), obviously embarrassed. Wilbur quickly realized that the shirt he wore under the jumper had ridden up, pulling it down sheepishly. Taking the sweater, he ran his hand down the soft cotton fabric. "Thanks."
"No problem," You shook your head, looking back at him. Shooting him a smile, you finally stepped back and let him walk to put his tray away.
Wilbur was left in such a daze, he hardly even registered the teasing his friends gave him when he sat back down.
{《☆》}
Prom was coming up and Wilbur had totally forgotten. He sat at his desk, staring at the pair of tickets his friend had given him on a whim, saying something had come up but that he should still enjoy prom with his boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Because yeah, people have started being under the assumption that Wilbur had manned up and asked you out. Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. Wilbur groaned, hands wrapping tight around the yellow sweater he was still wearing, still had. He had tried giving it back once but the teacher had decided that day was going to be their first-ever pop quiz and he had to sit back down.
He had worn it yesterday, fiddling with the nice sleeves that wrapped around his wrist loosely enough to pinch the fabric under and twist it. But something about realizing the weight of the next week, the last week he had until prom came and he'd be forced to go alone.
Wilbur was screwed. He had a week to ask you out, likely get rejected, and then spend the night at prom depressed while his friends had fun. Just the idea of going made him queasy.
His door was knocked on rapidly. "Wilby! Wil! Wil! Open the door!" Tommy screeched from the other side, waiting for permission before he jumped onto Wilbur's bed.
"You can come in," He said, moving to sweep the tickets into a drawer, hand still caught tight on the sweater.
"Wilby!" Tommy says, clambering in with his blankie trailing behind him, the cow plush Wilur had bought him held tightly in his little fist. "I did the big tree thing. I went to Tubbo's house and he has such a big tree and I know that you and baba climb the tr-un-k so I had Tubbo help me, because it's so tall! And he did! And I got to hold the small tree and there was this bug and-!"
"Tommy, why aren't you playing with Phil," Wilbur asked, turning away from his desk to open his arms wide at Tommy. His baby brother leaped off the bed, landing in his arms and giggling.
"Phil was being mean again," Tommy pouted, curled into Wilburs chest. "He told me to go play with you instead."
He frowned, but then smoothed it out. "Thank you for telling me, Tommy. And thank you for following the rules and knocking."
"I'm very smart, aren't I Wilby!" Tommy giggled again, kicking his feet out. Wilbur bounced his knee a bit, nodding. "When is Baba getting home. He said I couldn't play with his sword until he gets here and I'm bored."
"He's still at work, Toms, but how about we go play outside instead." Wilbur smiled down at the 8-year-old, pinching Tommy's button nose between his fingers.
"Okay Wilby!" Tommy said, dragging the teen with him. Wilbur didn't know how lucky he had to have been to get an exchange home that'd give him his own brother.
Tommy set down Henry neatly next to him before he started digging his fingers into the dirt. Wilbur picked up his blankie and made extra sure it was safe from dirt on the seat he laid it on. He sat down by Tommy, pulling his arms away whenever he tried to eat dirt.
"Oh, it's you," A pleasent voice said from not so far away. Wilbur looks up and sees you standing there, holding a leash tightly, a dog standing by your legs. "I didn't know you lived here."
"I'm part of an exchange program, the Minecrafts are my host family," Wilbur said, rushing to stand. Tommy, ever the loud mouth around family, is tucked behind his leg, bright gold curls barely peeking out. You take a small step closer and Wilbur's face starts turning red. "Uh, this is Tommy."
"Hello Tommy," You say, kneeling to be on even ground. The blond mutters a small "hi", still clutching Wilbur's pants but shuffled more into view. You stick your hand out, wearing the prettiest smile Wilbur has ever seen. "It's lovely to meet you."
Tommy's hands look so tiny in yours but he seems so happy to be doing something familiar. Phil's had him do similar around his buisness friends. Predictably, your dog rounds your legs, nudging Tommy. He giggles, gasping with an infatuation with animals in the way only Tommy could have.
"That's Kujo, he's really friendly," You say and Tommy turns to you, eyes turning into melted clouds.
"Can I play with him? Please," He asks, bottom lip jutted out into a plead. Wilburs heart softens and you melt at the sight of his little brother. You carefully hand him the leash, saying that Kujo knows better than to run but if he does try, it's okay if he let's go. When Tommy heads off, ever so gentle with guiding Kujo, you stand and smile at him.
"Is your sweater okay?" You ask out of the blue. Wilbur glances down at what he's wearing before processing the words.
Face flushed, he nods. "It took a few washes but it doesn't smell like corn anymore, so..."
"I'm glad," You smile easily, not minding him trailing off. "I've dumped food on myself more than once and it's horrible to get off. I have a sweater at home where the sleeve still smell like milk."
Wilbur laughs, feeling as though he's floating on air. It wasn't even the funniest joke in existence but Wilbur is sure he could never laugh harder, warmth bubbling up in his chest. "That sounds horrid. Although I once managed to burn the fur off a coat once."
"No," You gasped, reaching up to cover your smile with your hand. "An arsonist is here, in my neighborhood. For shame."
Wilbur doesn't know what confidence overcame him but he quirks his lips into a wicked grin, "That's not the worst I've done."
"Oh? Aren't you Mr. Bad boy?" You say with a chuckle.
Again, it comes out without thinking. "Depends, do you like bad boys?" His cheeks flush instantly, hands curling up as he almost dies of embarrassment.
You raise a brow, lips curled into a smile. "I like cute boys that look cuter in my sweaters."
It takes him a second for it to process, his ears the brightest shade of red in just a second. "Ah well," he fiddles with the hem of his sweater. "I mean, uh... Are you going to prom?"
"I haven't been asked yet," You look over at Tommy, stting down and digging with Kujo helping. "But I think I'd like to go."
"Well, I—, do you wanna...," Wilbur grimaces, taking a second to breathe. "Would you like to go to prom with me?"
You positively beam at him, "I would love to."

Description: You're hanging out with Tommy and Tubbo when Eret comes to talk. Things get significantly more complicated. [Ex-Eret x m!Reader]
[Read the rest under the cut]
{《☆》}
It was lovely sitting there and watching the sunset. The way the sky mixed in beautiful pinks and purples, tinged at the top with a greyish blue. Cracks of orange split from between the clouds and you sighed softly as Cat played in the jukebox next to you.
Tommy begrudgingly gave the seat up after you guilt-tripped him with your crutches. Your crutches were leaned against the jukebox anyways and Tubbo helped convince him they were basically dual weapons.
You tipped your head back, keeping your eyes closed as someone walked closer. They paused, foot skidding up some dirt as they waited. Tommy and Tubbo didn't hear them, obviously, too busy arguing with each other. You sighed again, taking in a peaceful night sky for one last moment before you sat up, tapping Tommy's shoulder to warn him as you reached for your crutches.
They weren't entirely necessary all the time, most of the time you just needed a walking stick and you could still kick ass, but you were a bit glad you used them instead today. They were technically knock-offs but that made them heavy enough to knock a man to the ground and with two of them, you'd manage to protect yourself more than most people thought you would.
"Why are you here, Eret," You frown at the man. Tubbo got his sword out, tilting his head in a silent offer. You shook yours back.
Eret seemed to grow more resigned at your silent talk, a long drawn line of regret on his face. "I was just passing by."
"Really?" Tommy narrows his eyes, his mistrust of all things Eret still bubbling. "If that was the case then Y/N wouldn't've warned us. You not here to backstab us again are you?"
You clenched your jaw at the memory. After Eret's betrayal, it was safe to say that you two broke up and stayed that way, but it was a sore subject to bring up anyway. "He's not wrong, Eret. There's some other reason."
"Guys," Tubbo started slowly, looser than either of you. You knew Eret's betrayal hit you and Tommy the worse but you'd expect a bit more anger.
"What, Tubbo," Your hands itch to do something. Hit something, maybe, you're not too sure.
"If he came here for a reason why not hear him out," Tubbo met your eyes, not with any warmth for Eret but something other. You think it might've been for you. "We out-number him anyways. He's harmless."
You bit your tongue to keep from saying anything you didn't mean-- you knew he was saying the truth, it didn't make it easier to hear. Eret seemed relieved when you turned to him with a nod, even with the scowl on your face. "You have 5 minutes. Talk fast."
"Thank you," He spoke quickly to Tubbo and maybe you. "I just wanted to talk to you. All of you, I suppose. There's a lot of things happening right now and I just want to, uh… I need to apologize before anything. I haven't really… done that. I'm sorry."
It was awkward how Eret refused to meet your eyes, gaze firmly placed on your shoulder of all places. "Dream's planning a lot of stuff with this upcoming election and… I need to apologize for not being able to stop him. Like before."
Your heart squeezes in your chest. Before everything, you would've taken one look at the lost look on Eret's face and fallen over yourself consoling him. Even now— even after everything his actions put you through—you can't help but hurt for him. You hated him for everyone he's managed to hurt. Now you're reminded of how much you hate yourself for loving him despite that.
"Yeah," You mutter lowly, remembering soft summer days and even softer lips. They look cracked now. Eret licks them when he catches you staring as if embarrassed at the state they've fallen in without you. Part of you wants to mutter a secret to him, an ugly truth you hold close to your chest. I've already forgiven you.
Tommy wraps his hand around your forearm and it feels like you're breathing air again. He carefully doesn't look at you, "Is that it? An "I'm sorry" to get the guilt off your chest before Dream tries to kill him– us, again."
Eret goes solemn, head dipped to his chest. He looks small. "I'm doing all I can against him without outright fighting him. We both know I'd lose."
Tommy takes a deep breath in but you set your hand on his arm and he shut his mouth, jaw flexing with obvious temptation. Tubbo seems to take that as his cue.
"Thanks, man. It's," he purses his lips, "it means a lot. To me, at least."
Eret nods, obviously relieved. Tommy crosses his arms, barely giving Eret a nod before he gently reaches to grab his music disc and guides himself to his home. His shoulders are tense and you can tell he's close to a panic attack. Tubbo watches him walk away with a complicated look. "I'll go calm him down. If you need anything, just say the word."
Eret looks a little ruffled at the insinuation he'd hurt you. You almost point out that he already did. You nod, "Talk him through it. 4, 8, 7. Keep it simple for him."
Tubbo nods and follows after Tommy, not closing the door.
Eret turns to you, licking his lips nervously again. You're left alone with a rising moon behind Eret. He looks lonely in the pale lighting. You don't try to join him.
"Y/N, I—," Eret cuts himself off. "I don't," he exhales roughly. "I hurt you. A lot worse than I hurt Wilbur or Tommy or Tubbo or Fundy. I betrayed you all."
His breath hitches like he's actually near tears. "But I didn't pretend to love you. I loved you, Y/N, I still do. And I know I don't deserve you. I know… but I need you to know that it wasn't all fake. It wasn't all lying."
"Then what was?" It's rough to say, hurts like you just swallowed instant poison and then pinched your throat. "Because from where I'm standing, Eret, all of you seems fake."
Eret flinches as if his name is worse than his title of king. With the amount of vitriol in your voice, it almost did sound worse. "I know, Y/N. I lied about my reason for being there and I lied about wanting to help but I was raised by a single dad and my favourite colour is greenish-blue and—," His voice cracks, "I love you, Y/N. I can't stop loving you."
You want to cry, scream, beat him with your crutches until he stops talking. When he stops making sense. You close your eyes and try to ignore the tears that cling to your eyelashes. They're heavy, so incredibly heavy.
"I think you should leave, Eret." You barely manage to say. It's quiet. Eret doesn't say anything for a minute, doesn't even move. Then slowly his footsteps wander away, slower and shuffled. Uncomfortable, awkward, upset, and so clearly caused by you.
When you can't hear them anyway, you sniffle. Tears are making your vision blurry and when one tips over, the rest burst like a dam. You're sitting on the grass, weeping like a baby.
Tubbo legs it towards you, pausing once he sees you. Tommy pushes past you, wrapping a hand around your forearm and his own voice is suspiciously watery. "It's okay, Y/N. He won't hurt you anymore. I won't let him."
I would, you think miserably. You would let Eret hurt you if it made him stop hurting. If you could hold his face and kiss those chapped lips soft again. Suddenly, you think you're going to throw up.
Tubbo kneels down next to you, rubbing soothing circles into your back with his palm. He stops to gather your crutches in his arms and sets them by Tommy's door. Then he turns back and together they lift you and carry you into Tommy's bedroom.
When it's late, much, much later into the night, you hold the pillow Tommy let you borrow to your chest and weep again. Maybe this time, you're crying for yourself.
{《☆》}
[Well, this hurt to write. Will your relationship mend? Will Tommy learn to forgive people? Will Tubbo stop shying away from emotions? Who knows! Me, technically, but I'll keep that secret.]

I've somehow managed to get into the batman Fandom and now I'm obsessing over Damian Wayne (I've read all complete Damian-centric fanfics on ao3) and now I'm writing about him. I've never read a single comic, but I'll figure it out.]

Description: In the lovely demon kingdom of Ouphara, you and your twin flame cause some minor chaos with the humans he had brought with him. (Badboyhalo x Reader)

Anna walks up to you as you try gently cajoling Sapnap into eating more, something more culturally important to you. He had said that he enjoyed spices and your people knew nothing better than spices.
"(Y/N)" She says, walking up in front of you. Her dress trails slightly behind her, her wings tucked towards his back with a practised ignorance to it. "Who is this human?"
"I'm Sapnap," Your nestling says, brows furrowed with a slightly disturbed expression. It seems he didn't like her asking you instead of him. "This is my pater,"
"Hm?" Anna asks, lips pressed together thinly. It seems she wasn't expecting that answer. But it also seemed she didn't understand what he meant by 'pater'. "(Y/N) is your...?"
"He is Bad's child, they share their flames," You say excitedly, proudly putting your hand on his shoulder. Sapnap leans toward you, exhaling the anger from their chest slowly. "Which means he is my nestling as well."
"Oh!" Anna says, a surprised but gentle smile on her lips. Your sister hasn't met her twin flame yet, a fact that the council never failed to pick at. It's what made them so biased towards you, even if your sister was the rightful heir to the throne. But she wanted to meet her twin flame badly. As young growing flames, she had constantly promised she'd be like your parents and grow up to have a beautiful, strong flame. "It's lovely to meet you, young flame."
"Sapnap, this is my sister," You smile at him, glancing over at Bad who's slowly stepping closer. Sapnap blinks in surprise before he smiles too. "Hi! Nice to meet you!"
"Anna," Bad nods to her as he step up into your side, sliding his fingers into yours. Sapnap steps closer to you again, relaxing into the warmth you provide almost without realizing. "It's been a while,"
"It has," Anna says with a slightly more rotten grin. They always had gotten along like a house on fire. You were left to play the cat abandoned in the house. "I'm expecting a good fight soon. One-on-one."
"You're on," He grins right back, just as sharp at the edges. You sigh, all to used to how heated they got in their arguments. Never violent though, not without something to prompt it. Sapnap is now fully leaning his head on your arm. Honestly, humans are so very tiny. it was kinda adorable. "I'm looking froward to beating you."
"You can try," She says, brushing some hair back. As she finishes her words, someone comes up to wisk her off for a private talk. it was nice talking to her for however short, usually her responsibilities to the party kept her busy the entire night and you were left to talk up whoever was left.
"What now?" Sapnap asks, fiddling with a part of your wing. You tuck him into it a bit more, looking around for the humans you had met. They were scattered around the room, the youngest ones picking at the food presented on the tables. Dream and George were talking to one of the lesser Nephilim, Wilbur and the two people he dragged with him chatting up many different people.
"Well, we will be meeting Anna after this dinner ends, but until then we can have something other than a snack," You try convincing Sapnap to eat, remembering Bad telling you he hadn't eaten. He wrinkles his nose a bit but shrugs, pulling himself away slowly.
You offer to carry him to help him find food easier but he instantly argues that you were too tall and should shrink. Albeit reluctantly, you do. Bad joins you and the two of you are relatively human-sized now, though you still manage to be taller than both of them. You keep your wings stretched over Sapnap, resting your head on Bad's shoulder as you simply watch your nestling.
"He's truly ours, isn't he," You murmur softly, smiling as Sapnap tries shoving a fork full of food in his mouth before gagging. "I'm kind of amazed."
"He looks stupid," Bad laughs softly, softening as he looks at the coughing mess of a human. "But he is our kid. Ours."
"Salyrn would be freezing if she were here right now," You chew the inside of your mouth as you remember your growing flame days. Salyrn had been a very religious demon, one of the people still following the old gods, and she had the impression your relationship was cursed. Unluckily she had met a few flames like her and your school days were history. "I think I'd kill her if she tried anything to our flame."
"So would I, for any of them," Bad casts a look at every human that he had come with. Part of you understand, a small part of you is already attached to the odd group of humans. The other part is even worse, torn between being possessive over them and being angry, knowing they were what kept Bad from you for so long. But it melts away, you have eternity together.
You turn to Bad, knocking your heads together softly. He smiles but pushes your face away with a small off-white blush.
"I'm very lucky to have you" You remind him softly. He smiles and places a gentle kiss on your nose. You reach up to squeeze his nose between your fingers, booping it softly after.
"Really, while I'm eating!" Sapnap groans, pointing his fork right at the two of you. "No lovey-dovey stuff while food is present."
"Aww, sappy's feeling neglected," Bad teases, pulling Sapnap's chair closer to wrap an arm around his shoulder and tug him close. Your nestling grumbles, the fork abandoned on his plate as he rest his cheek against Bad's shoulder. You reach over to brush hair out of his face, purring softly as he melts into your hands.
"I hate both of you," he grumbles, fixing himself to get more comfortable. "I'm going to leave."
"Sure," You coo, brushing back their hair. You share a knowing smile with Bad, heart-melting as the human hums in appreciation. You've never really liked humans but Sapnap is your nestling and he's so tiny and sweet! "But if you opened your eyes first, that'd be more convincing."
His eyes snap open and he glares at you half-heartedly. Bad stifles his giggles into Sapnap's hair, glancing up at you and breaking out into another spree of giggles. Sapnap reaches up to wack Bad away, pulling away with a scowl. "I'm going to tell Dream you're bullying me."
"Sure, pandas," Bad rolled his eyes, smiling softly as Sapnap stretched and walked off. You leaned into him, feeling just as sappy. His eyes glance down at you and he presses his cheek to your shoulder before he sat up straighter. "We should eat a bit before it gets too late. I know we didn't have many snacks so our dinner shouldn't be too ruined."
"I suppose," You pull away, fixing your plate to be straightened up on the table. Instantly, with just a thought, your food appears. Magic has its privilege and that is instant-dream food.

"It's been a while since we last fought," Anna calls loudly, her sword twisted in her grip. It's a sleek blade of gold, thought lightly enchanted since this is an honourable duel. You've recently been in the development of layering gold with spare netherite, testing to see if the metal has any use besides construction material. You've heard tales from the humans world that netherite over diamond weapons can create a weapon stronger than anything created before. Your sister is supposed to get the first successful weapon, and you the second.
"I've missed beating you to the ground," Bad says, twisting his shoulder with a wicked grin. He always gets so competitive with sword fighting, especially against Anna. In his own claws, a glittering gold sword carved with runes more for ornamental use than fighting, but multi-purposeful all the same,
She scoffs, circling the grounds around him. "If I recall correctly, I'm currently beating you."
"Barely, you had to have (Y/N) distract me last time." He rolls his eyes and then he lunges. With skilled ease, a graceful leap, they move almost in sync. Anna twists to dodge him, pushing his sword away with a strong jab. He twirls back and dodges her sword in a split second and you gasp with delight.
"Whoo! Go Dad!" Sapnap cheers beside you. The humans and a few other stragglers are on the side lines, watching and occasionally cheering. Your kind aren't the biggest on violent entertainment but on an annual festival, your sister always fights. She is skilled with the blade, more so than she is with magic, and her skill is spoken of with unsupressed compliments, a common spoken legend. You've gotten used to it, living with her competitiveness for years has desensitized you to it.
The humans however...
"Oh shit!" Tommy screams with a wide grin. He tugs on Tubbo's arm. "Did you see that!"
You laugh at them, not bothering to smother it. Ranboo's tail curls up around your arm as he cheers for Bad. You smooth out part if his shoulder as you pat his shoulder.
Technoblade, Phil, and Wilbur all sit together on the stands, casually narrating their own thoughts to one another. A few times Technoblade leaned forward, met Bad's eye and shivered. It was adorable how scared they could be of someone so tiny.
"So close," Your sister grit out, taunting tilt, she took in a deep breath as they jumped away from one another. "I almost had you down."
"Not close enough," Bad says with amusement bleeding into his words, adrenaline keeping his on his toes. "In fact,"
He heaves as he swings and his sword slams into Anna's side. She goes flying back, skidding and holding herself up with her hand. It's easy for Bad to disarm her as she focuses on jumping back and standing in a safer position.
She cracks her knuckles, fixing her jaw straight in determination. "Now you're fighting." She leaps forward and tries to grapple the sword out of his hands.
Bad obviously has the upper hands with his sword still firmly in his hands but quickly the sword flickers with his flame, blue and bright spreading across the edges. The runes shine a bright purple and Anna is blasted back with a burst of his flames.
The spell is strong enough that wisps of them push up against your arm, harmless to you and Sapnap but it brings a sinking realization that none of the humans behind you share the same benefit.
Your flames, glowing white and fluxating, burst from your arms and cause a massive divide between the flames and the bystanders. You wait for a second before pulling it back. Sapnap's bandana is smoking at the edges, smoke that tickles at him and makes him giggle.
"Whoops," Bad says, flames instantly dying as soon as they appeared. Anna stands with a crack of her tail, stretching her wings before walking up to Bad.
"Nice sword but I'm still going to beat you next time," Anna crosses her arms, determination as solid as netherite blocks. "It was smart not letting your cards show until then, you had me disarmed and rushing you. I respect it."
"I think you had the right idea, I wasn't entirely expecting you to rush me. I had to think fast but if I hadn't," Bad shrugs gesturing to the scorch marks on the quartz. "I'm sure the same would've been done to me."
Anna nods and then she heads towards a bench, ready to sit and calm down a bit. Bad heads toward you, face flushed with exhaustion.
"Your sister is too strong," Bad says, slumping and pressing into your shoulder. You laugh, reaching up to pet his hair softly.
Ranboo's tail whips behind him cautiously, all of the humans oddly quiet after almost being hit by Bad's magic. "Does that... Is that your magic?"
"My flames?" You ask, briefly stopping your head pats to show Ranboo a miniature version of your flames, pure white that runs in your family, though more diluted in your sister. Typically, outside of a physical display of power and/or a skirmish, flames were meant to stay between families. Of course that was slightly true for your ideals as well but Tommy looked so in awe of it that you couldn't help but let it curl in his palm.
"It's warm," he mutters softly, sounding like a nestling with a skeleton cat.
"My turn!" Tubbo says excitedly, hand clasping around your flame. It fizzles away immediately and Tubbo frowns, turning to you. "Aw man,"
"Here you go, Tubbo." You coo softly, watching as he perks up instantly. Much more delicately he cups the flame, raising it to his face and bringing it close.
"It is warm," he says, tilting his head. "But it doesn't burn."
Bad laughs, head nestled under yours. "Most flames don't burn if the wielder allows it to. But it requires more concentration with non-flames than it does with ⎓ᔑᒲ╎ꖎ||."
"What happens if I touch it," Sapnap asks, peeking around you. He steps closer to Tubbo, making threatening grabby hands. "Gimme!"
Tubbo peels away, futile in an attempt to escape. Much quicker than him, Sapnap catches up to him and snatches the flame quickly. Unlike earlier, the flame stays strong and actually grows along his skin, flickering with playfulness.
"That tickles," Sapnap laughs, he then jogs over to Dream and gestures for him to grab some of the flame along his arms. He does, passing it between hands like it's some sort of ball. George pokes at Sapnap arm but doesn't grab any.
You look at Bad, smiling when you realize he's already looking at you too. "╎ ꖎ𝙹⍊ᒷ ||𝙹⚍."
Bad tucks his face into your neck to hide his smile, though he mumbles the words back.
As Tommy starts pestering Anna for swordsmanship lessons and Phil is trying to stop Technoblade from stealing your weaponry, you feel happy. This feels like home, as unconventional as it may sound, being surrounded by people. Being next to your twin flame.
Bad links his fingers through yours, lifting them to press a soft kiss to your knuckles. Again, he repeats the words. "I love you."
"I love you too, little flame," You grin, leaning down to knock horns.

You roll yourself up into a ball. The light pink blankets pool around you, making the empty space more obvious. Wilbur always got up early, working on his pub. (You refused to call it pube.)
Your shulker shells float around you, making a quiet little whirrr noise. You stand up, stretching your arms over your head. The window curtains are still shut, they always need to be when you live with a phantom.
The floor isn't cold, thank goodness. You don't think you'd be mentally prepared to deal with cold and not just break into tears. You pull one of Wilbur's sweaters over your head and yes, it is a bit too big for you. It hangs around your mid-thigh, the yellow contrasting the light pink of your bunny pajama pants.
As you step outside, you frown at the sky. The sun isn't bright today, mostly hidden by the clouds and yet it's still so warm out here. You don't like it when it's warm, but it's better than the cold. You wanted cuddles no matter that.
You start climbing the ladder, not taking a glance back. Wilbur would probably be up here, talking with someone about one thing or another. He was such an avid talker, as much as he bullied Tommy for that.
In fact, those two were far similar than they like to admit. As you entered the pub, you were met with two devils.
"TOMMY I SWEAR TO GOD-!"
"GOD CANT SAVE YOU NOW!" Tommy cackled, maniacally spreading his arms as a small fire ate away at the wood.
Sighing, you muttered griviences. "They're lucky I love them." You started putting out the fire as Tommy and Wilbur argued. When they turned back to the fire, it was just you placing blocks back and ignoring their squabble.
"Aww," Tommy pouted. "I wanted it all to burn down..."
"Thank you, Y/N. I'm so glad that I have someone on my side here."
You shook your head. "Tommy. We can go burn down someone else's house. Let Wilbur keep the pub."
Wilbur was about to argue before deciding it was the better of two evils. Tommy excitedly raced up to you, eagerly talking about everything you could burn down. Glancing back at Wilbur, you winked.
Wilbur mouthed a thank you and turned back to whatever he was doing in the first place. Your little ghostie better be grateful.
Oh well. You suppose arson was just as good as cuddles.

Description: You and your sister Cairo are on your way to the Antartic Empire to stay with family. There is some trouble along the way. (Muffinteers x M!Reader)
[Read the rest under the cut]
{《☆》}
"Cairo," you call, throwing a stick into the slowly growing fire. "It's getting late, kid."
Your sister's tent remains closed though, quiet even when she'd usually be complaining loudly about spending another night in the woods. You stretched quietly, almost letting it go if not for something in your head nagging at you.
"Hey, kid? You asleep already?" You glanced back at the fire, where you should be keeping watch as she slept. Stepping over a log you pushed aside a flap of the tent. Xyr bedroll was empty, xry covers still neatly set up and practically untouched.
"Well, shit..."
{《☆》}
Wiggling xyr fingers awkwardly, she tried to pull xry hand out of the tight knots. Xry socks scrapped against the floor as she hung, they were undoubtedly ripped which she was slightly upset about, they were xyr favourite pair. Cairo knew with hindsight that leaving xyr brother behind was the worst decision she could've made.
Huffing, she stopped for a moment to breathe. It was so stupid. All she wanted was to have a little fun and maybe steal a few gold coins off of them and they kidnap xem. Xyr pouch was tucked into one of the backpacks in front of xyr, so they were the real thieves. There were at least 4 copper coins that they were taking and not to mention the ugly one pocketing xyr dagger!
She was so going to tell her brother one of them hit on xyr. They are so going to regret kidnapping xyr.
When she finally managed to pull xyr thumb out, one of xem kidnappers came out of the tent they had been talking in. She puffed xyrs chest out and glared, xyr heart beating as they walked over anyway.
"So, we've decided to kill you!" They clap their hands together enthusiastically, a wide grin on their face before they burst out laughing. "No, we're not. But you should've seen the look on your face! Hilarious. Anyway, we're going to keep you! Or Stevie'll keep you, she was adamant on not letting you die or selling you so this is the next best thing! You should thank her!"
"What?" She said, head spinning. They laughed again, less insane this time, and turned to leave. "Wait! What-? You can't-"
"We can, we are." They shrugged and ducked to get back in the tent. She glared at the offending green, gritting xyr teeth as it stayed upright.
Looking up, she stood as tall as she could and started yanking xyr hand out. Dirt got in xyr socks as she managed to get a free hand. Pulling at the rope with xyr hand was so much easier than xyrs earlier nonsensical wiggling and she pulled it out quickly. Glancing back at the tent, she riffled through the bags and pulled out both xyr pouch and a pretty pink pouch and started running.
She started off north, both pouches wound tightly closed and packed into xyr waistband. Cairo didn't even know if xyr brother was in that direction and ran with blind hope.
{《☆》}
You pressed your sword into the healer's neck, casting a critical eye around the campsite. The group of freelance mercenaries was beaten and forced on their knees. "Where is my sister?"
The tallest one laughed nervously, their eyes, violet eyes, darting around the camp and settling on a set of ropes before darting back to you quickly. They didn't have xyr then, but they had. The healer, who was crying pitifully, blurted out an answer. "We sold her."
"You're lying to me," you growled. "Now tell the actual truth or I'll chop your head off."
"I'm sorry." They gasped, breathless as they trembled. "She ran off. I don't know what way. Please don't kill me."
You dropped her to the ground and kicked her as a warning. They were useless to you now if she had already gotten out. If you were a stronger man, maybe you'd have killed them for it, but you weren't a killer yet and you didn't want them to be the first blood on your hands.
Wrapping your own rope around their wrists, you pulled them just a bit too tight. You may not kill them but they still took your sister.
Hands wound tightly around your necklace, you followed your sister's trail with swift feet. Xyr movements were jerky and panicked, wrapping around a tree twice before they ducked into a low hanging canopy and started straight forward for what seemed like miles.
Cairo was a fast little gremlin when she wanted to be and it showed by how far you had to walk. But slowly it seemed your compass was honing in xyr position as it swivelled a bit to the left.
Rushing forward, you walked into another campsite with your sword drawn. You could see your sister's back to you, arguing with a masked fellow. "My brother is going to come for me, I don't need your help."
"It could take hours for him to navigate these woods." They stressed, their hand nowhere near their sword at their hip which meant you could knock him out and take Cairo without a struggle. "How would he even know where..."
A sword was pointed at your back, making you straighten up and pivot forward as the unknown swordsman swung too slowly. Keeping the momentum you dashed towards your sister and came sword to sword with the masked man in a hideous lime green cloak. Their mask was more menacing face to face, porcelain that shone like glass with the tiniest cracks and you could see the briefest glance of his tan skin.
Cairo ducked out of the way, tucked close to you like a little baby bear to their mama. You dodged the dark-haired swordsman with a twirl, making sure to keep xem near you at all times. The masked man managed to get a lucky blow, cutting through your shirt right below where your compass hung around your neck.
Gritting your teeth, you managed to knock the dark-haired swordsman to their knees and before the masked one could stab you through your kidney you wrapped your arm around the weakened man's neck and pulled them between you two.
"Try anything and I kill him." You threatened. Cairo hesitantly stepped behind you, glancing between all of you. The other's face was impossible to read with a mask on, but their knuckles went white before they dropped their sword.
"Don't you dare." They hissed.
Narrowing your eyes at him, you took a quick glance back at Cairo. Unluckily for you, your captive grew a pair and elbowed you. Gasping, you kicked out wildly as you started falling backwards. Someone cursed and you took vindictive pleasure in causing them pain before Mask pointed their sword at your neck.
"Stop! Y/N-" Cairo stepped forward but you glared at xem. You glanced between xem and the forest and she obviously caught on. She didn't move though, still in the same place with the one you had previously held captive moving behind her.
Mask put their foot on your stomach and pressed a little too hard, making you gasp for breath. Glaring up at them, you let your grip on your sword go lax and waited.
"Don't ever threaten Sapnap again." His voice was venomous, still laboured with his effort to keep you down. They pressed down harder. "Or it'll be the last thing you do."
Baring your teeth, you heard something snap in the distance. Mask looked over quickly and you forced yourself to roll away. Mask stumbled heavily as 'Sapnap' stepped in front of your sister and towards you.
"Stop fighting them!" Cairo shrieked desperately, panicked as Dream picked himself up faster than you expected.
"I promised..." You gasped for breath. "That I would protect you. And I intend to keep the damn promise."
"They aren't hurting me! They helped me!" She yells. When you pause, Mask manages to knock you down again and this time he doesn't go lax. Sapnap looks back at xem and his brows furrow.
"Wait... is this the brother you were talking about?"
"Yes!"
Mask doesn't look away so you don't either. It's a particularly aggressive staring contest, but the fighting is more comfortable than the other stares people give you. Xyr huffs, moving past Sapnap and standing right by your side. "Dream, if you kick my brother again I will curse you."
'Dream' stared you down as he got off you, sword tightly held in his hands. You took a quick breath in and slowly got up, never taking your eyes off of him either. You weren't planning on losing this fight.
One of the voices in your head, the ones you usually try to suppress with varying success, pipes up with a teasing quip. "I really want those hands wrapped around my neck instead of his sword"
Grimacing, it still didn't break you.
"his hands but make it a necklace," another agreed.
"i want those thighs to... anyway"
"/rainbowchat"
"okay but that mask is kinda... ya knowww"
"bonk horny jail for all of you"
You couldn't help but look away. Your voices were making things take a very uncomfortable turn. Coming from the forest, two other men walked out and finally Dream looked away.
Cairo pressed close to you and instantly the voices went back to fussing over xem. You wrapped an arm around xem even though your arm was as sore as the rest of you. Goggles and Hoodie, as you dubbed them mentally, were glancing over at you a lot. Dream and Sapnap were probably telling them all about how you got your ass handed to you.
"Are you hurt?" You whisper asked. Cairo shook xyr head, wiggling xyr fingers in a so-so motion.
"Bad, the hoodie guy, gave me some balm for my feet and helped me wash off my rope burns." She whispered back and then gestured down to the new pair of sandals that were obviously too big for xyr feet. Then, in a meeker voice, she said, "I'm sorry for sneaking out."
You shake your head softly, adrenaline already draining. "Right now I'm just glad you're okay." Then, in the same voice your Dad used to speak with, you added. "We will be discussing your punishment later."
She pouted, already aware that she was losing xyr free-range privilege. Now you were going back to the days of kiddy leashes like when she was 8 and in an even worse rebellious phase. At least back than it was easier to pick xem up.
"Hello!" Hoodie, Bad technically but that was a weird name so you weren't calling him that, bounced over to you with a diplomatic smile. "So you're Cairo's brother?"
You nod slowly, you felt awkward standing there without your sword and virtually defenceless against four armed men. "I came here 'cause she was missing."
"Yeah, we found her looking for you after some people took her I suppose," Goggles added. You appreciated the fact that he didn't look you in the face, it was more than amusing especially since it happened so often.
With a mean grin, you said, "I already took care of them. They'll be hogtied in these woods until some bear comes and takes pity on them."
Cairo grins up at you, brushing xyr hair back and mimicking a crazy sign. "Those wackos were a special kind of crazy. Wouldn't be surprised if the bears ran from them."
Despite yourself, you chuckled at your sister's quips. Dream glanced over at you, like he was in disbelief you could perform the most menial task of laughing. The voices whispered in your head, their own, more flirty, or in some cases violent, quips.
You shrugged at him. Bad clapped his hands together, his face a bit off-put but understanding. "Well I know you two probably want to head back home and all but it is getting late. You two can stay here for the night if you want." Then he added on. "And since there are more of us it'd be safer too!"
You looked over at your sister. You didn't particularly like anyone there but Cairo was... well not in the best shape despite the act she put up. Xyr feet were still all bloody and probably a bit torn, xyr clothes in a mess of a state. She'd end up with hypothermia if she tried to go back at night, especially when it hits an all-time low.
"Yeah, I think we should." You finally say. Bad nods along with a pleasing smile, obviously already having your train of thought.
Goggles fixed his, well, goggles, pushing them up with a finger before taking them off altogether to put them back on. "Well, we should probably set up our extra tent then. If you can't tell, we weren't exactly planning to find a pair of homeless strangers in the wood."
"We aren't homeless," You instantly protest, despite the fact that it's technically true.
Goggles gives you an unimpressed look over and your voices instantly choose a new target to simp over until Dream grabs their attention again by scoffing. Although to be fair, in your slightly biased opinion, Goggles was better looking than Dream.
"Well, either way," They gesture to their camp. "We weren't prepared for visitors so we'll need a few minutes to find and set up your tent." He brushed some long pieces of hair behind his ear, giving a quick but pretty smile.
"That's fine. Thank you," You were mentally adding Goggles to the short list of people you'd let the voices simp over. After all, you did have a slight weakness for pretty boys and the voices would simp over just anyone if you didn't give them some fuel, case in point: Dream.
The masked individual was standing tense in front of you, his stare heavy. Dream's hands were tight on his sword, situating himself in front of Sapnap protectively. It was a silent threat to move away, daring you to fight him too, but he cared more about keeping you away from Sapnap than fighting. How soft of him.
Cairo tugged on your sleeve, reminding you of your own protective streak. Glancing up, you gave a hardly noticeable dip of your head and turned away with your sister still tucked in your side. Who knows if Dream reacted to your silent truce or if he even realized you understood his anger. It didn't matter to you though, you were already helping Goggles (who introduced himself as George) finish the tent.
{《☆》}
Cairo knocked out on xyrs rolled out sleeping bag, tucked in snugly because the voices were extra over-protective of xyr injured state. She was thoroughly exhausted, dozing off seconds after she laid down.
You brushed some of xyrs hair back, gently tracing xyr hairline and cheek bone. You remembered when your Mama used to do this to you, humming a song to you in her native language as she gently traced a line from your nose up to your forehead. When the song came to a close, you'd always be asleep without fail. Mama never got to do that for Cairo, but you could.
Unexpectedly, your tent opens and Hoodie peeks in. "Oh, hi! Sorry to barge in but, uh–, we wanted to have a little group discussion about..."
"Us."
Bad nods, his cheeks flushed with an odd off-white blush. "We'll be around the campfire waiting!"
You glance back at Cairo, hesitating briefly. Chat was vehemently protesting leaving her alone but... you trusted xem. She wouldn't do it again and she knew to run if these men turned out corrupt. Picking up your sword, you awkwardly half crawled half squatted out.
Dream, Sapnap, and George were talking lowly. Quiet enough for you to not hear, unluckily enough.
Chat, however, seems to hear them just fine.
"Ouchie"
"Wow can't believe Dream would insult us like that"
"Smh just like every other yt boy"
"Heart been broke so many times..."
Well, that issue was slightly settled. As you walked over to them, a bit miffed at being insulted behind your back and tired, Hoodie noticed you.
"Hey–" They hesitated.
"It's Y/N." Glancing over at Dream and George, who were both giving you neutral looks. Surprisingly Sapnap was the only one grinning.
"Right." Hoodie coughed, wearing an awkward smile. "Well, please sit. I'm sure we can all have a nice and civil discussion."
Dream coughed, muttering to Sapnap.
"I will literally nuke him"
"If he says 1 more thing about my boy I will just start crying"
"Why do we even crush on yt men anymore we're too good for them"
Again, rude much.
You sat down right next to Bad, who you now had slightly more respect for, across from the Trio themselves. Sapnap gave you a polite smile and George was still the pinnical of neutral but Dream... that man was staring daggers at you. You could feel it.
"So, why was I called here again?" You are very aware you haven't asked yet, but the sentence structuring is better so you're ignoring it. For plot.
Sapnap leaned forward, completely unconcerned by how close he was to the fire. "Well first off, Dream wants an apology."
That was rather blunt, you tilt your head to the side to stare Dream directly in the eye and then back at Sapnap. The voices argue over whether or not Sapnap's toothy, boyish grin makes him simpable or not. Again, at least he's not Dream.
"The masked yt boy failed us we're sapnap stans now"
"Sapnap arson pog?"
"Is he yt? He looks yt"
"arson pog"
"ik dream is yt and evil and all but those arms tho..."
Fine, you would be the better and bigger person. "That's fair. Dream, Sapnap, I apologize for being wrong."
"Not for attacking them?" George asked, a brow raised coolly.
"I'm not sorry for defending Cairo. I didn't know who you were, I didn't care what happened to you." It was easy to explain, however rude and blunt it might sound. Your sister, to you, was of the highest priority. Her safety was number 1 to anything else. If you went back in time with the knowledge you have now, maybe you would've tried a different approach. Without that knowledge, however, you'd do it again in a heartbeat. "I am sorry that I was wrong. Sapnap and Dream weren't harming her, so I apologized."
George gives you a slow look before shrugging. "Good enough."
"I accept the apology!" Sapnap chuckled good-naturedly. How he was so easy going was odd, but the voices cooed warmly so you let it go. "No permanent harm done, all is forgiven."
"I suppose I understand." Dream nodded, his voice short and clipped. It seemed your apology hadn't managed to thaw his entire, frozened neutral persona but at the very least it was a room temperature persona now.
"We'd all do anything for the ones we love," Bad agreed, an understanding in his voice. Chat liked him, you realized, and you respected him. An excellent combination not to be skewered. He was rounded off corners at the edge of a table, easy to brush off but able to thoroughly damage someone or a dull pencil point that you accidentally dig into your finger. Innocent at first, harmless at second glance, but truly he was a peaceful persona.
Accidents or anger, and the peacefulness would be a weapon. Peaceful does not mean harmless.
"Well, I'll be off. I've got to get some sleep before we head out tomorrow."
"Tommorow?" Bad crows back. He has a look on his face, well meaning and eager to take in strays, not wanting to let you go yet. Worried, in simplest terms. "I don't think Cairo will be fully healed by tomorrow. Especially not enough for a long walk."
"No, she won't. But I'm planning on carrying xem back to camp." You tilt your head back, glancing at the tent. Cairo should be in xyr bedroll, resting xyr feet. Hopefully. Logically, you knew she would. Emotionally you were anxious to get back to xem.
"You two are welcome to stay here until she's fully healed?" Bad leaned closer, a kind and helping hand. They shook their head a tiny bit, thinking to themselves. "I know the tent isn't the most comfortable but we could set up a better tent tomorrow?"
"Thank you, you are very kind," And it is a sweet thought. Your voices are cooing at the demon already. "But I'd rather be on the road sooner rather than later. Cairo and I are on a tight schedule."
"Where you heading?" Dream tilted his head, like a confused puppy.
"The Antarctic Empire. We have family there. I—," Briefly, you hesitate and glance back at Cairo's tent. "I think it'd do xem some good to be around family again."
Sapnap and Bad nod sympathetically, if not in slight pity. It's an irritating emotion but you've gotten used to it.
"We'll, we weren't planning on heading there but I'm sure a small detour is fine!" Bad glances over at the rest of his group. They shrug or nod and Bad grins. "It's not that far and we've been quite a few times before. We can help navigate around anywhere you might need."
"Anywhere," George says ominously, snickering with Sapnap.
"Maybe," Its all you can think to say. Your voices want to go with them, the load of simps. And logic says to stay away. Ultimately your decision would be left up to the ultimate tie breaker..
Cairo.
"I'm heading out for the night. Thanks again for the tent."
"No problem!" Bad waves you off.
The night is cool but not cold. The crickets are loud in a comfort white noise way. It's nice, the voices agree. Maybe, just maybe, a small part of you wants Cairo to agree.
