I was reminded of this Halloween-themed challenge I made for myself 5 years ago and thought I’d attempt it again last minute. I’ll be drawing my OCs in Halloween outfits for (hopefully) the whole month. I would’ve posted this sooner but I’ve been feeling kinda icky lately (prob just the weather affecting me again) and like I said I thought of this last minute. If you use my prompt list, please use the hashtag #crystal_OAC2020 so I can see what you guys make. And feel free to tackle the prompts in any order you like. Enjoy~ 😊🍂🍁 🎃 https://www.instagram.com/p/CF3ZV2cDIbF/?igshid=14kn2a040jk91
Forgot to share this with you guys. 😅 I finished my xerox collage illustration! (Sort of.) I was pressed for time so this is what I got. The goal was to combine collage and drawing in such a way that they look cohesive. I collaged some odd creatures and foliage and then drew in their surroundings. Hope you enjoy!
A very belated anniversary gift for my bf. I still miss him dearly. 😔💙💚 It’s been a rough and lonely year not being able to see him that often, or my friends for that matter. Swipe ➡️ to see my progress pics. You can see I did the sketch a year & a half ago and I’ve been working on the digital rendering since April.⠀ 🔹⠀ #art #artsy #instaart #DailyArt #ArtoftheDay #artwork #draw #drawing #digitalart #digitalartwork #digitaldrawing #painting #doodle #sketch #sketchbook #digitalartist #Photoshop #Illustrator #digitalpainting #Wacom #originalartwork #portrait #cartoon #creative #instadraw #instaartist #artistsofinstagram #artistsoninstagram #artist #CrystalCurie https://www.instagram.com/p/CJfUOMRDGkl/?igshid=ham9yxpepb1y

More than 1,000 firefighters, EMTs, and other emergency workers have signed an open letter that launched this week
Amid outcry over Verizon’s throttling of Internet service used by a fire department battling the worst wildfire in California history, more than 1,000 firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and other emergency workers have signed an open letter calling on Congress to pass the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to reverse the FCC’s repeal of net neutrality.
See the open letter here: FirstRespondersForNetNeutrality.com
“Access to reliable, high-quality broadband is essential for our work,” the letter, which was just launched this week, reads. “We routinely place ourselves in dangerous situations to assist others and save lives. But since the Federal Communications Commission repealed net neutrality rules and other key protections in December 2017, the communication services we rely on to do our jobs are no longer meaningfully protected from being arbitrarily slowed, blocked, or otherwise degraded by Internet service providers.”
It continues, “In response, we are joining with millions of businesses, veterans, and Internet users in asking Congress to use their Congressional Review Act (CRA) powers to restore the strong net neutrality rules and other consumer protections that were lost when the FCC voted to repeal its 2015 Open Internet Order.”
Many first responders also included personalized comments with their open letter signature. Here are some of the comments below:
“Currently serving in armed forces and away from California. It is distressing seeing citizens and friends not receiving the best possible emergency services due to ISP throttling.” –Louis G., EMT in Santa Barbara California
“My department uses Verizon for emergency services and cannot afford to be throttled.” –Paul S., firefighter in Santa Ana, California
“Our call paging system relies on private ISPs to relay information from 911 dispatchers to ambulances — it is unconscionable for corporations to endanger public safety for the sake of profit.” –Corey S., paramedic in San Diego
“EMTs rely on data to receive pages, vital paperwork necessary for patient care, and to help locate calls outside of our service area. Throttling speeds can delay care and cost lives.” –Larry T., EMT in Little Rock Arkansas
The open letter was just launched this week with support from Fight for the Future, a digital rights organization fighting for net neutrality and an open Internet. Many more signers are expected to join in the coming weeks.

Theme 7 Memory is done! I'm so glad I finally finished this. In truth, I wanted it done last year, but I was busier (and then sick) than I expected. Oh well. Have a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope yours is off to a great start. 😊
I’m finally sharing my new self-portrait with y’all. This is the first artwork I’ve created in Procreate on my new iPad. It took me a while to get used to the program but I’m pretty happy with it. It’s been a while since my last post so I want to say thank you and welcome to all of my new followers! I appreciate ya! 😊 🔹 Buy me a coffee here: www.ko-fi.com/crystalcurie I appreciate all your support~ ☕️❤️ 🔹 #art #arts #commissionsopen #DailyArt #ArtoftheDay #draw #drawing #doodle #sketch #dailysketch #sketchbook #illustrator #artwork #digitalart #selfportrait #character #selfie #pencil #pencildrawing #pencilsketch #instaart #traditionalart #originalartwork #instaartist #instadraw #artistsoninstagram #artistsofinstagram #artist #artists #crystalcurie https://www.instagram.com/p/CWwwyZOFv_Y/?utm_medium=tumblr

Love this tip about building expressions!
How to, step-by-step, make expressions mean different things by changing just one facial feature at a time. *shrug* I’m not very good at explaining how I do expressions, I just…feel out what kinds of muscles seem to fit and tweak those. And sometimes, ever so slightly, little adjustments could mean the difference between fury and euphoria.
I painted this pot today. I was trying to create a green gradient on it at first, but I kinda messed it up so I gave it a solid green coat instead. I’m hoping to finish touch ups and plant some Burro’s Tail in it soon, hopefully next weekend. 😊 I hope you enjoy~
