OP respectfully fuck that noise. I'm now going to start posting like a Shonen protagonist just to spite you, because if I don't fight for the ones I love, then who else will I be fighting for?! If the world is full of darkness, then I guess I'll have to spend the rest of my life bringing as much light as possible...
no more “everything is about love” posts. we all need to start posting like cheesy jrpg villains. this world is full of darkness without end….
we should form systems which incentivize behavior but if that behavior ends up being negative i think we still did a pretty damn good job. there will be statues
I've never made a post like this, but I've had the thought of doing it for a while, so here goes nothing...
These are all the webcomics I'm currently reading!(And why I think you might like them!)
Fantasy High by Dimension 20 & Denaseey
I'm a huge fan of Dropout, and especially Dimension 20. Now, there's an accessible version of the first campaign that pretty much anyone can read and enjoy. from what's been released so far, It's definitely an abridged version of the story, so don't expect it to hit every single point of the campaign. However, it's still a great version of the story. High recommend if you're a fan of the series or just D&D in general.
Clown Corps by Joe Chouinard
This is everything a guy, gal or etc could ask for in a clown-based action series. It's exciting, it's hilarious, and it gets surprisingly deep in the further you get into it (the standard process for most webcomics). If you love clowns, I cannot recommend this enough.
Yellow Brick Ramble by Daisy McGuire
I've always loved the classic Oz books (Or at least the first 3), so I was already sold on a series that took the trans subtext of Ozma and just removed the sub- prefix. However, what I didn't expect was how genuinely close the writing feels to the original story. I'm being genuine when I say there were certain points where I paused reading and went "Wait...Was that from the book?" And, I gotta say, if you're writing for Oz is so good that I genuinely can't tell what's original and what's from L. Frank Baum himself, I'd say you did a pretty good job. High recommend if you love the original books.
Emmy the Robot by Dominic Cellini
This is my current favorite webcomic. Full-stop. I'm a massive fan of robots, and this comic scratches that itch so hard that it's become a rash. The entire atmosphere of it, from the characters to the story, gives me such a warm feeling that I haven't felt since I was a kid. It feels like the lost Pixar movie I've never seen but's always been with me. I might be overselling it a bit, but the point still stands that I love it. The only minor nitpick I might have is it takes a little bit to get to the real conflict, since the first 50 issues, give or take, are mostly just setup and slice-of-life. Though, I personally don't mind that. Huge recommend for pretty much everyone. If it doesn't seem interesting to you, I don't know what to say, man. Can't help you...
So...How'd I do?
Okay...I have a lot of thoughts about the SInder situation, being a now-former huge fan, but I'll just get one of my major thoughts out of the way...
I see a lot of people say things like "Well, what did you expect from being a fan of an influencer" or some other thing, but to me, that just feels hugely demoralizing.
I get that we're upset at her being a huge scumbag, but saying shit like "Welp, that's what I get for caring" is just cope. You're allowed to crash out in this scenario. I give you my personal permission.
There are plenty of truly nice and kind vtubers out there. The number of them crashing out right now is enough proof of that, at least for me. And even they're feeling bad for investing so much of their time in being friends with her.
She did an awful thing and made all of us feel bad for caring about her. Fuck. That.
Feel bad that she made it impossible to care.
Don't ever feel bad about the act of caring itself.
Don't ever feel bad about caring. Please.
As a slightly below-average person, I can confirm, also this. I'm here to conquer Mt. Everest, not let it conquer me.
I may be biased bc I’m taller than 99.8% of people, but I think when you see an attractive tall woman instead of going “awooga big woman I want her to rail me” you should go “wow she’s tall, I want to bend her over and make her squirm”
I decided to play through a bit of Undertale to usher in the new year. Once I made it a certain distance through Waterfall, I checked the time on my phone and realized that I would be able to make it to the castle view just before midnight. Honestly, I can’t think of a better way to take in the new year than taking in this view.
Maybe I can take this as a sign of hope. Maybe, despite this journey being…strange, heartbreaking, downright comical, and even a little scary…maybe things will work out. Maybe things will finally be better. They may not finally be perfect, but they’ll be in a better place than they were yesterday…and the day after that…and the day after that. Sure, we’re far from the end of the journey, but we’ve already come this far. So, what’s stopping us from seeing it through? You can see it right in front of you. It may be far away, but it’s there... It’s real.
So I’m not giving up hope. Not yet. Not any time soon. I’ll keep fighting. I’ll act on my goals. And I’ll spare some time for others…
I’ll stay determined.
On this newest episode of "Opinions from a Guy No One Asked", we have...
Just so we're clear, this is just ranking the covers, not the stories themselves, as I have not read all of them...
The first great cover, in my opinion.
Genuinely Creepy...
It looks like the mummy farted in his tomb, and I think that's very funny.
Yo, when are we getting Masked Mutant vs. Ghastly Grinner?
I swear I've had those shoes.
I've met people exactly like this at summer camp.
I love how, despite the Victorian clothes, he still has an unequivocally 90s haircut.
This is just my grandparents when they come down from up north.
I mean...It doesn't really look expired, so...I might still try it.
Big Grassy Paws.
Sigh, I wish I were as cool as that pumpkin-headed dog...
Just a couple of cards...
Reminds me of the ending to Freaks[1932].
WET n VEINY
This might be my favorite one, actually.
Those eyes...
There's a non-zero chance this awoke something in someone. good for them.
Oh, that's gore. That's gore on my Goosebumps cover.
Yes I did mean to call it my website. I've been here since 2011 I'm sure I've gotten pretty high on the line of succession by now
You'd like that, wouldn't you farmer boy?
I bet you wish you were in a red barn being fed oats. Horse.
Sorry, but the only reliable news source is Destiel Confession Memes and you can't convince me otherwise.
Apparently boomer Democrats are having meltdowns over a gen-z progressive who is primarying an 80 year old Democrat because she "went on trans podcasts" and wore a Charizard kigurumi
