"ᎤᏍᎨᏥᎸ ᎠᎵᏍᎩᏍᏗ" (usgetsilv alisgisdi - chicken-comb dance)
Mixed media, 2022. Playful sexual dimorphism, ritualized by the two-spirit. The two-spirit gyrates in the chicken-comb dance.
The language is Cherokee (which I'm part). The concept of the Two Spirit is pan-native-american, the term itself being formally coined near the end of the 20th century by queer indigenous activists and cultural preservationists.
"Von Economo Neuron"
Mixed media made from a found and broken rosary, found and broken chain, a dead butterfly, and found charger cords, 2025
"Holy Fire Face"
Collage mosaic, 2021. Inspired by a re-watch of Holy Mountain, that time showing some friends who'd absolutely not have seen it on their own accord, but they did enjoy the experience ultimately. The particular scene that triggered this piece was when they sacrificed the mannequin doubles to the fire in the eyeball table.
"Untitled #1"
Recycled collage, 2021. A 2nd gen collage from a piece called "I Don't Know How To Be A Woman" I made for one of my old zines.
Snagged better quality pics of these two, they're my favorite part of this commission, I had so much fun drawing them at the vet clinic I was working at during that time.
A commissioned piece from 2022. A local rapper requested a cover for his single Water.
Yefta is cool, you can find him on Spotify.
"The Eye Doth Deceive"
Mixed media, made after a Machine Girl at the Granada, 2022.
"Sacred Thru Profane"
Collage, 2020. Inspired from one of many re-watches of Dances Sacred and Profane.
RIP Fakir <3
"Bloom"
Mixed media, 2024. This piece is a reworking of a former piece, the person who has inspired said previous piece is no longer a part of my life, and this reworking is a reclamation with the additions of the rose and vines. One can be obscured by total darkness, but the eyes can still see.
Here's what it looked like before.
"We Are Not Alone"
Mixed media collage, 2022. At the time of making this piece, I was reading a book called Dark Eros, an analysis of Marquis de Sade. I think this mindset bled through in the collage, the prospect of masochism in choosing the theatrics of innocence, versus the self exploration of the libertine.
"Year of the Rabbit"
Mixed media collage, 2023.
Recently finished this page in my mini-sketchbook. I like him!
