Alya's anger was valid, but i think it's CRAZY for her to yell at Mari, "I don't like lying!" Like, you think your BESTIE does?!š you should know by now that it eats at her, too. Then just basically tells her bestie she doesn't want to help carry her burden (thanks, Pookie)
But still, very valid anger; Alya wasn't there in the action. Mari was and is a child, and there was no time to think of the "right-er" option
We, as the audience, get that privilege.
A 14 year-old child that just witnessed her boyfriend's assistant be the villian's side-kick and die, his mother in a see-through coffin, and his father be THE villian and achieve his wish to reunite with his deceased wife by killing himself instead of listening to the child plead with him to live the rest of his time caring for his child. All in the span of maybe half-an-hour to a couple hours (really not a lot of time). She did not get that same privilege. Only thoughts in her head are probably,
"What the fu-"
before the next and next event.
If she told him, he'd probably let it slip and then everyone would know and everyone would be outside his only "home" with torches and pitchforks. He didn't slip? He continues pretending with the people mourning his father, the villian, to his face. Yadda yadda, the other options, blah blah
This scene was intense between Alya/Rena Rouge and Mari/Ladybug, Alya was mad at Mari for Flying to her about Gabriel was Monarch. And you can hear Mari's voice in the end it was like she wanted to cry šš
This is a something me and a friend did; she came up w/ the backstory, and I was the one to write the actual story. /When Georgica turned sixteen, he was allowed to finally drive. The thing is, he was not taught beforehand. You might be thinking, "How the diddly-darn heck was he allowed to drive when he did not know how?" Well the answer is simple, he lives in IGof4tropilos, on street IDGAF(I Don't Give A Flip-flop). Anyways... One day as he, the 'beautiful' Georgica, was backing out of the driveway, he ran into the trashcan which sent him flying all the way across town onto street Oopsie. In case you're curious of what kind of trashcan he hit that somehow made him fly, it was imported from Japan, manufactured in a trampoline factory. He was paralyzed from the waist down, so he was then put in a wheelchair(oh, dear). Your think it's horrible, but Georgica loved it! Whenever someone wasn't nice to him, he could run over their foot! It continued the same. Then one day, he had to go to court; reason being, he ran over someone's figure(don't ask, I was there and I don't even understand how it happened). Georgia took his $5(I don't even know at this point) and went off. He told the truth as the other person was making stuff about how she couldn't read(she was reading that off from her paper btw). Georgia lost the case, but he still won because he lost his sanity along with the case and ran over the judge with his wheelchair. It was a good end of the day for Georgica(at the mental hospital). The End\ She said that I should make a Webtoon bc she thought it was so funny, I might post this drawing I actually have for this
Someone get Thomas and Jeremy on the phone
i think we should have an ep where Adrien loses the rings and is like "its ok, because the love I have for my parents will always be in my heart :) " - meanwhile Marinette is having 5 consecutive heart attacks and speed dialing Felix to see if he can make a trip from London and help find the rings
That is all i wanted too LOL
I am a grown ass adult and I still get nausea when I feel like I'm in trouble. They're gonna send me to the principals office and take away my toys for a week. Can you just fucking kill me instead of making me stew in my fucking anxiety
I heard both. Brain needle
First there was Yanny Vs. Laurel, now thereās Brainstorm Vs. Green Needle.
I've never hated ads so much until I got back into this crap shack of a website. Tumblr ads are the bane of my existence. And there's no "not interested"? If I see one more AI generated fruit chart or AI generated porn comic, I'm walking into HQ with a rubber mallet
I hope there's a moment we get a deep dive into her thoughts and it's like that Spongebob scene
and her fighting it because Marinette shouldn't know what's going on
I think people forget Marinette is like 14.
(Disclaimer; I only roughly know what going on in season 6 so, correct me if Iām wrong. )
Marinette was given the truly impossible decision of either A), telling her recently orphaned boyfriend, that his father, who just JUST DIED, was the super villain whose been terrorizing him and everyone he loves, for a year now. To make matters worse, he and his father had a very broken relationship, that heāll never have the chance to fix, because heās dead. Or B), Telling her orphan boyfriend, that his dead father, at least died a hero, but forever living with the burden of knowing thatās a lie.
To make matters infinitely worse, she has like an hour to decide. Plus, whichever she chooses sheāll have to tell both Adrien and the rest of the country HERSELF. So, of course Marinette, whoās used to lying to āprotectā others, picks option B. Was it the right decision? Absolutely not. But she shouldnāt even have to make that decision, SHES A CHILD.
The two adults who knew the situation she was in, Tikki and Natalie, donāt even try to convince her to tell the truth. And her best friend, the only person she mightāve ever told she did this, Is (rightfully) PISSED with her, even though she also chose not to deal with the burden of knowing that when given the opportunity. Getting mad at your best friend for not saying and then also choosing not to say anything is wild (again correct me if im wrong about the situation, I havenāt seen the episode yet)
The fact Marinette hasnāt had an actual mental breakdown over this is insane. HER VILLAIN ARC WILL BE LEGENDARY.
So Climatiqueen just premiered and I have to say...
Aurore's character is the perfect example of how a returning antagonist should be handled, don't recycle them for the sake of recycling them, continue to build on what we know of THEM, because that's what makes them unique, if you don't do so, then there's no reason as to why any other character wasn't in their place.
For example, in this episode the writers used the established foundation Stormy Weather gave them about Aurore's interests to fit the theme of discovering your passion (and to possibly lay the groundwork of foreshadowing Ladybug's reputation downfall, as It's honestly very suspicious the social media theme was the focus of two episodes in such a short amount of time). Thanks to that, we now know that Aurore wanted to win the role as climate presentator in 'Stormy Weather' because meteorology was her passion, and not solely because of popularity as we previously thought (though that did play a role as well, as this episode proves), adding layers to her character in a way that feels justified as they are relevant to the story we're being told (unlike other instances where they can feel like an unnecessary info dump because of bad timing, like Gabriel's backstory, or so I've been told, I haven't followed Miraculous since early S3 lol).
I'm a sucker for little continuity details like that because it helps cement the idea that the world is alive, and it makes me appreciate the analytical labor writers go through in order to do help this illusion remain believable.
marinette plays over every scenario in her head. who can she tell? who will she hurt by saying the truth, and who will she hurt more by not saying anything at all? canāt tell alya. she already knows so much, and her lips can only stay sealed up to a point. canāt tell chat noir. she knows him too well, heād want the world to know the truth too, wouldnāt he? and she canāt reveal everything plus also ask him to pretty please keep mum about this, hawkmothās son is the love of my life and the world will tear him to shreds if they know. and she canāt tell adrien either, right? heās the one person she was instructed not to tell at all cost, and heād want to tell everyone too, wouldnāt care that everyone would hate him, but she does. she wants him to be safe. she wants him to be happy. she wants him to be unburdened by the title of āsupervillainās sonā, because surely āboth my parents are deadā is more than enough to bear. but then the guilt that shouldāve been hers and hers only seeps into him, and sinks its teeth into him, and she canāt pull it out. she hears his random remarks and asides that reek of deep sadness, regret. how can someone be a hero if they werenāt even a decent person for most of their days? itās a terrible thing to have to reconcile, let alone for oneās father. and then thereās the stench of putrid pancakes, wafting through those long corridors of that too big, too lonely house, every time marinette creeps in, like she still doesnāt belong there. and then thereās the letters. the little tokens of control, hidden anywhere and everywhere, physically inescapable. itās like a treasure hunt that will go on forever until adrien finds out. how long will it last? how long will adrien frown and avert his gaze every time someone praises his godforsaken father? how many times must marinette be the only person in the room who sees it?
I mean, fuck, I like bed. I like sleep. I like cozy blankies I like napping, I like to eep. I like Z catching and wink catching and counting sheep. I like doing beddie bye shit. Snooze it? Honk mimi
