jokes write themselves
Ofc 'skin her face' is the most upvoted comment
taking smosh reddit stories so seriously and being so mad about cast’s takes is really stupid. they are reacting based on the small piece of info they are given, they can’t really see the full picture and obviously they don’t know these people personally. they can only interpret a situation in their own way and speak theoretically or from their own experience.
also, guests don’t have the post itself in front of their eyes so they’re only relying on hearing it and this way of receiving information is hard for some people. thus, some context might (and does) get lost. they don’t have time to reread it, fully digest and form a solid opinion (about a story that could easily be a lie). but they still try. they still find ways to approach the situation from different perspectives and to see both sides.
keep in mind, we’re talking about entertainers, not counsellors. they are ordinary people with their own opinions which can (and maybe should) contradict with yours. they can’t take into account everyone’s feelings, povs, struggles etc. so they probably don’t mean any harm, just sometimes possibly could’ve known better. i think we have other and more important things to call smosh out for.
I think people's issues with Smosh Reddit Stories would be solved if they filmed it in a different way.
On most reddit videos, there is at least one story that there is a bad take to. And the comments always get on it and sometimes are put off of the person the take came from. (Personally, I'll usually disagree and have a rant in my head and then just move on). It has been pointed out though that these are their first impressions, and they are often filming reddit stories at the end of a shoot week or like first thing in the morning.
If that is truly the cause of the bad takes when they happen, then a different way of filling could theoretically fix it. Since we probably still want their first reactions, there could be a start point that is just them being read the stories. Then their takes could be filmed at a later time, either later in that day or later in the shoot week, thus giving them time to process and think instead of saying absolute first thoughts. This would also probably reduce the amount that they miss key details.
Idk it would probably be a lot harder to do this way, but it was fun to think about.
loved everything about this uno episode
sound effects, shayne’s ridiculous luck, trevrasha’s jokes, chanse’s fanboying, arasha almost eating a bug (because alex offered her $20 to do it)💀 how it turned from ordinary game to “make arasha win”
really, i had a great time

Oh hey check out my dad!
oh, trevor did angela so dirty when impersonating her (i hate to admit it was pretty accurate)
i love her, hope she’s not upset
tbh adopting body neutrality has been life-changing for me like I no longer feel tied to my appearance. It took away the pressure to be always “pretty”. Letting go of beauty standards and rejecting anything that fuels insecurity has been incredibly liberating. Honestly, I’ve stopped shaving and wearing makeup altogether, and it made me realize how men behind big corporations have brainwashed us into believing there's something wrong with us. Young girls obsession with shaving their legs and arms or else they’ll be seen as “disgusting” is just sad also so many influencers are also promoting it not realising little girls are learning from them:/
I will never get over how fucked up it is to give little girls baby dolls & tell them they’re gonna be mothers when they grow up. She’s a baby and you’re already teaching her to prioritize others over herself. She doesn’t even get to be a child in childhood
I’m the anon from that Chanse confession and THANK U OMFG!! I’ve felt the same way about Tommy’s “serving c*nt” show and I felt so alone cuz nobody else bats an eye. Same with Chanse saying b*tch all the time, I know sometimes Angela teases him for it but that’s it, nobody calls him out.
It’s so disrespectful how gay men treat women and it makes solidarity with them as a lesbian very hurtful sometimes. Like oh okay, I stood up for you and now you mock and insult my existence. That’s so awesome. And then other women with internalized misogyny laugh and cheer them along. Very frustrating! Smosh needs to give up all the women-mocking bits. Most especially if it’s men performing them
i’m genuinely glad i have a like-minded person! thank you for speaking up 🫂
