Did you know that Dr. Ratio's music theme is based on the Seikilos epitaph, the oldest surviving complete musical composition?

(Here and below from Wiki) It was left by a man called Seikilos on his wife's grave between 1st and 2nd century AD in the ancient Greek town of Tralles.

The inscription on the stele in Greek says:

I, the stone, am an image and Seikilos places me here (to be) a long-lasting monument to immortal memory.

The song itself translates to:

As long as you're alive, shine, don't be sad at all; life is short, time asks for its due

And the stele itself reminds me both of the crumbling columns he summons and the also crumbling stone slab with mysterious inscriptions we see on his splash art (I just noticed it even has the same dark veins on the marble).

I can’t wait to see the 1st and 2nd years going to the pool next chapter!

apple bottom jeans — this is a reference to the apple that was eaten from the forbidden tree of Eden

boots with the fur — this references the way Adam and Eve had to clothe their nakedness once they had eaten from the Tree

the whole club was lookin’ at her — traditionally it is Eve’s fault for succumbing to the temptation, and most scholars blame her and future women for original sin

she hit the floor — this is a reference to the snake, who was cursed to crawl in the dust

next thing you know — the Lord immediately responded to kick them out of the Garden of Eden

shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low — this represents the way humanity fell from grace and gave in to temptation, and was repelled from the garden
