understood!!! i think originally regulus was honestly one of my favourite characters until people started to portray him as too misunderstood :(( he had an amazing balance between black and white and i think that some fans ruined it for me. tbh i hate bellatrix but i love her character and her insanity is so interesting to me. with draco, my feelings generally depend on the fic. i dont rlly have an opinion on him tbh but there are some really cute drarry oneshots that i have bookmarked. and cissy is genuinely one of my fav charateds ever narcissa black they could never make me hate you. narcissa malfoy however is a different story tbh but thats a whole other story

In any X-men omegaverse au Charles obviously is going to have a mating bite courtesy of Magneto.

Except I lean towards the worldbuilding where mating bites and bonds will wear off in time if they're not actively maintained.

But Charles still spends more time with a mating bite/bond than not because every time it's nearly been long enough or has just been long enough for it to wear off he and Magneto end up working together for one reason or another and by the end of it Charles has a fresh bite and renewed bond.

The timing is actually coincidental (and more a testiment to how often they end up working together) but is still very much the elephant in the room when Magneto inevitably leaves again and they return to being advesaries.

i don't even necessarily think the characters have parallels. like sure, both lily and annabeth are smart and caring and have a need to impress people (their families, their friends, etc.), and sure, both james and percy are clever, funny, and deeply loyal, but i think the parallels come in more with their actual relationship.

jily and percabeth are so devoted, and yes they have flaws, but they care about each other. for both ships to work, there has to be a slowburn + individual character arcs, and GAH the mutual pining and obliviousness ?! they're also js very similar in the way they interact and joke around lmao

ahhhh that makes sense. i really tried to enjoy jegulus but i think its more the regulus part i cant get behind. him and the other slytherins have had so much of their past/future erased that i tend to dislike their characters. i definitely prefer the black sisters because (on my fyp at least) people are much more open to embracing their dark side. HOWEVER i did read a jegulus fic that i really enjoyed so🤷‍♀️. its also really odd cause i find jegulily to be pretty cute (only in muggle aus tho cause i feel like regulus has too much blood supremacy drilled into him)
