Upgraded The Spindle AGAIN! The Harbor Freight Router Had A Terrible Collet Design. So I Switched It

1/8" Collet is a success! Gripping bits like nobodies bidness!

Nice Lil booboo at work today. It doesn't really want to clot. Probably going to wake up to a puddle of blood. Isn't the human body fascinating!

So due to the spindle change out. I have a 1/4” collet and i woukd like to do more delicate work then that. Waiting for monday to buy smaller endmills locally. So i had to machine a custom 1/8” collet on the lathe.

Turning a taper on a lathe without the automatic mechanism or the ability to offset the tail stock is difficult but i made it happen or changing the angle of the turret.

24 hours into operation #thumbelina. No more bleeding, no puss or seeping. I'm basically Wolverine.
