Oh, crap, I can't get away from this prescriptivist asshole, there's nothing beyond the wall but water
It would be an interesting challenge to write a narrative of some kind where the adults are selfish assholes to the kids in the show, but nothing the adults do is illegal, nor is it socially or culturally inappropriate or bad. It's horrible, but all plausibly deniable.
The poor kids just have to bear it, maybe the focus is their coping mechanisms or something, like Bridge to Terabithia or something.
There's at least as much Hermetic and/or Merkabah imagery in Evangelion as Christian imagery, if not more.
I'll say it again, it's the way she treated Loona at the party that makes her so hot.
Queen bee
shhhhh guys be quiet we need to be quiet or else the bears will hear us. as long as we all keep quiet (everyone liking this post) we will be fine just don't do anything to alert the bears okay?
Yesterday I deleted most of the reblogs in my queue. I need to either commit to this being a shitpost blog or GTFO. If I can't leave a compliment or comment on something, it's just not getting one. Anyone who cares can browse my likes.
I wonder if, after Azeroth's Second War, some of the humans running the internment camps for the orcs were frustrated by how placid the orcs had suddenly become... if, perhaps, their lack of aggression or hostility deprived them of their justification for keeping sapient beings in prison camps, and subjecting them to enslavement and abuse.
This is here because I can't post photos on the local message board. I'm trying to find the owner of these two kittens before the raccoons get them.
Other similar things people say are:
"Oh, I was just curious."
"I was just asking a question!"
"Apparently you can't take criticism."
"If you can't take a little criticism, you shouldn't blah blah..."
"I'm just sayin'!"
"You need to touch grass."
"You take everything too seriously."
It's all the same redirection trick.
Complicating matters is the fact that not everyone who redirects this way is consciously aware of what they're doing and may not even have genuine malicious intent. People don't want to admit to any bad qualities... some people redirect like this so they don't have to admit to themselves that they were thoughtless or malicious.
That doesn't justify their behavior, however. It just makes it harder to correct.
You're not "too sensitive" for getting upset when someone purposely upsets you. It's not "just a joke". They know what they're doing. They're just hiding their bullying behind the label of joking so they can play innocent.
Does this mean the era of fish-post-reblogging is at an end?
I eat paper
I have thousands of shitposts, rants, and essays sitting in notebooks, left over from decades of not using social media or having many friends. Hold on tight.
