Tank smoked weed when they were a teenager. Not because they wanted to act out or go against their parents, no, no, because they wanted to bond with them. One night (ew y tf does it sound like a fairytale, oops, sorry anyways) they came back from school, and tossed their backpack in the corner and walked in the living room, they were met with their dad on the couch, smoking a blunt, something they were used to by now, when they sat down he looked over at them and said ''Here'' while holding the blunt out to them, they stared for a minute before looking up at him and asking ''What?''. ''Here.'' he repeated more firmly. They stared for another second before reluctantly taking the blunt. They looked up at him with a conflicted expression before taking a small drag of the blunt and coughing. ''Fuck!'' They exclaimed. 'How the hell does he smoke this shit every day?' They thought to themselves. Their thoughts were cut short at their dad's laugh and an arm being slung around their shoulder. They paused, looking at him with wide eyes. In that moment, they thought they were dreaming. Their dad was laughing. Genuinely laughing. He never laughed. Not in their presence anyway. They thought it could've been the weed, but they couldn't bring themselves to care. They never thought they've smiled so big before. And after a minute, they laughed, too, leaning into him. Enjoying this moment with their father. A moment they never thought they'd live in their entire life.
