"I'm getting married." Regulus announces out of nowhere in the middle of the Gryffindor common room

"You're getting married?" Barty who's legs are propt on regulus lap asked confused

"Yup, I'm getting married regulus repeats" pushing bartys legs off his lap and standing turning to look at all his friends

"Reg you hate the idea of marriage even when we were children, I've heard you say that you'd rather poke your own eyes out with needles than get married" Barty replies bored

"I can change my mind" Regulus states

"Well I think it's beautiful" Pandora replys

"Of course you think it's beautiful you think love is amazing and soul shattering. Who are you getting married to?"

Regulus opens his mouth to reply but the answer gets cut short "well-"

"What the fuck are you three doing here?" Sirius comes in at that moment

"Regulus is getting married" Pandora states

"Okay cool but that doesn't explain wh- WAIT WHAT? Who are you getting married too?"

"Evan is doing extra credit for herbology and there was four of us but Dorcas went off to snog Marlene in her dorm" regulus replied while rolling his eyes seemingly ignoring Sirius's other questions

Sirius rolls his eyes in return " we're past that topic. Who the hell are you getting married to?"

"Regulus is getting married? "Remus states while walking in with the rest of the following Marauders behind him peter finally closing the portrait. "To who?" He asked siting down next to where Sirius is standing still looking striken

"Wait what Regulus is getting married?" James all but shouts looking a little upset no one thought to mention he was getting married

"Congratulations" Peter says towards regulus while sitting down next to Remus

"You can't get married your barely 16 what kind of bloke would ask to marry you that young" Sirius looks rather upset disgusted by his own remark

"Well if you would bloody shut up we might get the blokes name" Barty finally cuts in looking thoroughly annoyed by the interruptions

Regulus rolls his eyes and finally answers "There is no bloke that asked me to marry him, I just want to get married" Regulus continues to sit back down

"Well you have to be thinking about someone, this is completely out of nowhere" Barty replys

"I sadly agree with barty" Sirius shoots a glare his way and Barty scoffs "someone has to be the reason these thoughts are in your head "

Regulus looks at James and then continues to look down at his shoes not responding

Regulus has a drink in his hand that Mary had so graciously taken upon herself to make for him. He was sitting on a couch in the middle of the Gryffindor common room next to Barty and Evan. Sirius was cuddled up to Remus on the couch across from him.

Barty leaned over Evan to talk in Regulus's ear. "You do know that Potter is being talked up by a girl next to the portrait right?"

Regulus turns to look at his face "Hmm? Oh yeah she's been talking to him for a while now"

"And? You're not gonna go over there?" He looks at him confused and reaches a hand over to feel his forehead. "Are you feeling alright?"

Regulus scoffs and slaps his hand away. "I'm fine. I trust James besides even if she's been talking to him this whole time his eyes have been on me all night"

Barty sits back and still looks lost. "So you're not gonna go over there? Not gonna say anything?"

"No?"

"That's mental I don't think I would be able to breathe if a girl was all on Ev like that" He looks put out just thinking about it.

"That's bc you're a possessive bastard" He rolls his eyes "I need a smoke, do you have anything?"

Barty shakes his head and gestures towards someone on the other side of Regulus. "Ask a Puff"

Regulus gets off the couch and in less then a minute he has a blunt between his lips and a lighter in hand. He flips it open and spins the spark wheel again and again... But nothing happens. "Fuck it's dead, do you have another one?" But the curly headed Hufflepuff just shakes his head, Henry? was that his name? "Sorry mate, ask around? 'ts all yours" and turns around to walk away.

"Lupin! Got a zippo?"

"Sirius had it" Regulus turns to him and opens his hand palm up. "Give it, I just got a free blunt and I'm not gonna let it go to waste just because you're a git" Sirius who is now tucked away in Remus's side just shrugs sloppily and mermers "Gave it to Prongs"

And with an eye roll Regulus is gone to find his boyfriend. He doesn't speak, doesn't need to they've been dating for almost a year now. So instead of asking James for the lighter he walks behind him and feels his back pockets for it. No interrupted conversations needed. Well that's what he was hoping for.

"Excuse me what do you think you're doing?" It doesn't come from James so Regulus doesn't look up to answer or bother to stop. "Looking for a lighter" He responds sounds bored. He pulls out what's in the right pocket, a container that has a bunch of roches that could probably amount to one full blunt but no lighter. He places it back in the right pocket and feel in the left, empty.

"Don't you find that quite rude?" She's still talking? As if on command James lifts his drink up so Regulus can swing under his arm to get to his front. He sticks his hips out towards him also. "Find what rude?" He finally responds feeling the left front pocket of James's jeans.

"Feelings around in someones pocket without asking" the girl says. Regulus rolls his eyes and looks up at James. "Do you mind?" "Not at all" James says with a smile and lift his drink to take a swig. Regulus turn around to the girl with a cocky smile. "See? He doesn't mind" and whips back around to the pocket, empty. He moves onto the right pocket and places his hand in it and come out with a silver lighter engraved with a sun. He rolls his eyes, it's his own lighter. The one he and Sirius had gotten into a argument about when it went 'missing'.

He flips it open and spins the spark wheel finally lighting the blunt. He does a sigh of relief and takes a puff then releases the smoke and fans it away from his face. "Well then don't you find it rude to interrupt someone's conversation because of your own selfish reasons?" Ah, that's what she's really upset about. Regulus continues smoking the blunt and leans his back into James chest while an arm comes up to hold his waist right above his hip. "I was trying to avoid that" He slips the lighter back into James's pocket. "Well then, I'll leave you so you can continue to flirt with my boyfriend" He's about to push off from James chest and leave the two alone again but before he can the girl backs up and points her finger at Regulus.

"He is not your boyfriend" "Yes he is" He replies bored. Truly there was no reason for this he just wanted a lighter. "Than why has he been talking to me this entire time" The girl props her hip out and put her hand on it. Oh this is getting good now. Regulus smirks and takes another long hit before answering. "Because you were talking to him?" "He didn't say he was in a relationship" She responds. Is she trying to fight with me about my own boyfriend? He rolls his eyes and passes off the blunt to James. "Did you ask? Or were you to busy trying to get his dick inside you?"

The girl turn bright red but it's uncertain if it's from embarrassment or anger. "Listen I don't have time to fight with you over my own boyfriend. He's hot I get it" The girl scoffs "He's not your boyfriend" He rolls his eyes and turns around. He reaches around James waist to pull out the container and takes the blunt from James's lips. He puts it out on the top of it then places the remainder inside before shutting it and slipping it back into his back pocket.

"Like I said I don't have time to argue with you about my own boyfriend" He's talking to the girl but isn't facing her instead he places his hands on either side of James' face before continuing. "If you want to flirt with someone's boyfriend go find a different one this one's busy" He leans in and connects they're lips it's starts off soft but turns more rough the longer it lasts.

He briefly hears a cup being passed off before two hands encompass his waist and pull him in hard. He's pressed up against a wall. The kisses grow more heated until they break apart for air. However James seems to think he's immortal because he starts kissing down Regulus's neck without a breath inbetween. Regulus moves his hands up into James hair before tugging gently only getting a groan in response so he tugs harder. James finally detaches from his neck.

"What?" He doesn't move his breath is hot against Regulus neck. He laughs. "What was her name?" "Hmm?" James asks he's leaving what's supposed to be innocent closed mouth kisses on Regulus's neck but they are growing hotter. Regulus tugs on his hair again "What was her name?". James looks up finally "uhh Jes? Jessica? I don't remember. Why'd you make me stop?" The last question came out more whiny as he continues to kiss his neck up to his jaw and then to his lips again.

"Mm" is the only response Regulus can get out before his lips are getting pulled into another rough kiss. He pulls away and lifts his lips up to whisper into James ear. "How about you take me upstairs and show me how good you are with that mouth of yours? Since you're so eager" That earns him a bite on the neck before he is all but dragged upstairs. He doesn't see that Jessica girl on the way there.

James would wear one of the girls shirts. The tatered ones that you only wear to sleep, that they cropped and cut off the collar to. And he would flex in it 100%

im sad. Why isn't there more a/b/o jegulus fic's? I know we're all not mentally alright, so why aren't there more fics? Writing a/b/o seems like something not mentally stable people would do.

James is pacing around the room in nothing but his pants a pair of socks and a open Hawaiian shirt "What about this one?" he asks looking around at his friends. "Reggie would like this right? I think it's great"

"a Hawaiian shirt? Are you being seri-sincere right now?" Remus throws a questioning look at him

He looks down at his shirt again "What-I okay your right it's stupid" he takes the shirt off and is digging through the clothes on his bed again. "What about this one?" He asks as he pulls out a yellow jumper. "Yellows a good color right?"

"yeah if you're a flower" Peter chucks on the side of Remus "You're gonna blind him mate"

"Okay-okay what about this one?" He throws on a navy blue flannel " It's nice right?"

"are you gonna leave it open like that?" Sirius asks

"I can pull it off open rights?" He's shaking his head

"Reg would love that" Remus chuckles quietly

"What-no James change please for my baby brothers innocence" he says while gagging

"Okay fine what about this one" he pulls on a white t-shirt and looks at his mates

"it's see through James" Peter kindly says

"What no it's not" me looks at the shirt and presses it into his chest "Damnit it is"

"You're really overthinking this mate. If you waste anymore time you're gonna be late" Remus says while Sirius starts gagging again dramatically

As if on cue Regulus interrupts from where he was leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed "Yeah you don't wanna keep your date waiting do you Jamie?"

James whips around so hard he thinks he gave himself whiplash. He can barely make out Regulus shape if he squints due to the fact his glasses are on the bed from all the shirt changes. "How long have you been standing there" He asks embarrassed.

"Around the opened flannel" James groans and covers his face.

Regulus walks towards the bed where all James clothes are, and picks out a red shirt along with a pair of brown trousers that are so dark their almost black and hands them to James. "Remus is right you're overthinking this; change darling" he says as he pecks him on the lips erupting a groan from Sirius.

He walks towards James's night stand where he keeps is jewelry and comes back with a necklace just as James finished putting the clothes on. He turns James around after putting the necklace on him and holds his face in place as he pecks him again. "Now I'm gonna go down stairs and wait outside of the portrait for you. When you come out I'm gonna complement your outfit and act like I wasn't the one who picked it out okay?" All James can do is nod.

Regulus waves to all the guys and goes to walk out of the room. "Where the black shoes please not your red ones the red ones will clash" He says as he closes the door. As soon as the door shuts and he hears Regulus foot steps fade away he looks at his friends. "I'm gonna marry him" he says with a absolute blisses out expression. Sirius gags are getting drown out by laughter.

I love how Sirius got to Hogwarts and got a 'new' brother, completely replacing Regulus. And so Regulus being the petty little shit he is GOT TWO 'new' siblings. He was like yeah you replaced me and I did same just BETTER!

Regulus came up with it, it was a joke that he would make when Evan was out the room. The rose and his bee, but it stuck.

The common room was empty only occupied by the marauders, and a couple random Gryffindors who were working on homework on a Friday night in hopes of going to Hogsmad in the morning. It was peaceful with Remus reading and Sirius leaning against his shoulder flipping the pages when he'd finish. Peter laying against the couch James was also occupying until he got up to thoroughly reenact a story.

The portrait opened up the common room breaking whatever peaceful moment that was unraveling. A boy with curly hair and gray eyes stepping through.

James eyes zoned in on him completely forgetting whatever story he was in the middle of "Hi love" his lips tugging on the corners threatening to already pull into the doppy smile he constantly carries around Regulus.

"Hmm" is all the younger boy says as he steps into his boyfriend's space. James arms automatically wrapping around his middle while his go up to hold the Gryffindors face in place and bring they're foreheads together. Recharging. It goes without saying.

"Thank you for loving me" He whispers into the small space eyes still closed and foreheads still pressed together. James doesn't respond just pulls him in closer by the waist and leans in even more kissing Regulus and humming into it. A silent continue.

When the kiss breaks apart Regulus takes soft breath before continuing. "When we were younger Sirius used to say that he wouldn't make it to 18, that our parents would kill him before then. I'd tell him to stop being a dramatic cunt because I knew if anyone was gonna get out it'd be him." It's not just James listening now Regulus has caught that attention of every marauder in the common room but he doesn't even notice because James is rubbing soft circles under his shirt easing him to continue.

"and he got out. Not unscathed but alive. When I was younger I didn't think I'd make it to 18" He takes a deep breath before continuing his sentence. "I didn't think I'd make it to 18 because I was sure I'd kill myself before then if my parents hadn't done yet." Everyone takes a sharp inhale at that. Everyone except for James who slowly breaths in through his nose and pulls Regulus impossibly closer.

"You saved Sirius he turned 18 this December. I've got two years left before my 18th birthday but that's closer than I ever thought I'd make it. Thank you for loving me because I don't think I'd be here if you didn't. You saved me." He says with a shaky breath.

"Oh baby, I didn't save you. You saved yourself." He breaks they're faces apart to kiss his forehead before pulling him to a hug Regulus goes willingly. "You have so many people in your life that helped you. Don't give me all the credit."

Regulus shakes his head before he continues talking. "They're people that I'd die for. But I want to live for you. And it's so hard and it's exhausting because my entire life I was ready to go so willingly. But now all I want to do is stand here with you because the thought of being somewhere without you is so much worse. So thank you for loving me."

"Hmm thank you for loving me too" "It's too hard not to" is the reply James gets in return which makes them both chuckle even with watery eyes. "It's easier than breathing"
