ok hear me out, DC what if series but spefically lantern shit. like different heros getting lantern rings. and i dont mean an already established batman getting the yellow ring. i mean somthing more like waylon jones as a chikd right instead if running in fear of the people in his village, he embraces his skin condition (in a very unhealthy way mind you) and uses the townsfolks fear to keep them at bay n shit. book he gets a yellow ring. kinda a strecg to get that ring but still more along the lines if what i was thinking of. like instead of becoming redhood, jason right after resuruction does his lil jump off a clif building the he did in utrh and as soon as he lands he gets a red ring or something. amanda waller could probaly get a yellow ring but i dont care for her charcter that much tbh and i cant change her original story to fit that which is half the fun of it.
Since we keep getting "live action" CGI remakes of already perfectly adequate animated movies, and because people need to understand that animation is a medium and not a genre, I have prepared this primer about the importance of Visual Language for Conveying Information.
Can you tell what the personalities of these two mice are?
Can you tell now?
Which of these two tigers feels safer to be around?
Which of these three dogs is the funniest one?
If you can answer these questions, then you already have experience with the idea of visual language and stylistic choices being used to impart narrative meaning. If you can understand why these choices were made to impart meaning, then you can understand why animation is a medium for telling stories that has its own inherent value, and is not merely a "placeholder" for the eventual implementation of photorealistic presentation (aka "Live Action" CGI). Animation does not need to be "corrected" or "legitimized" by remaking it into the most representational simulation of observable reality.
You know that lackluster Don & Leo reunion handshake? I fixed it.

Laptops are nearly indespensible in modern education, which treats it as a given that all students have one.
Have you ever needed to do schoolwork with only a phone? If not, I can tell you from experience that it's inefficient and really fucking sucks!
Reema's an evacuated Palestinian studying pharmacy in Egypt, and this is what she's been going through for an entire month because she lost her laptop in Gaza.
If you cannot fathom the horror of surviving a genocide, then try relating to this: She's currently trying to study for multiple chemistry midterms on a phone. One of them is medicinal chemistry, which is considered even harder than organic chemistry (which I've heard is notoriously bad).
This is happening while her sister was very recently hospitalized and her family had to pay it off with funds from their budget. She's worried about her sister's condition, her family members still in Palestine, her uncertain financial state, and much more.
We can ease her stress a little by getting her a laptop to study with, and I'd like to get this done by Oct 20.
Update Oct 17: Additional funds past the CAD $21,800 goal to buy the laptop will go towards supporting the livelihoods of Reema's family in Palestine and Egypt. She wants to give back after they've done so much for her.
