Thing that I noticed about Mysterion and had been thinking about ever since:

Outside of the all "logical" ones, one of the main reasons why Mysterion is so much more important for Kenny's character than his other alter egos, is that we can finally see his facial expressions. His emotions.

Yeah, most of the time he's being all that grumpy and never really smiles as Mysterion, but we can have that from his other alter egos. What we didn't have, is his confusion, astonishment, displeasure.

And what gets me the most: His face when he's dying :(

you know that jewpacabra episode s16e4? that moment when kyle couldn’t sleep knowing cartman is out there, miserable and probably in danger? so he got up in the middle of the night and went looking for cartman to help him get home and make sure he’s safe and then he even literally tucked him in?

so i was making a parallel and i thought of that one post-covid cartman, broke, unhappy, homeless and pathetic, and kyle who gets home after his meeting with the old friends, and suddenly he can’t sleep, thinking constantly about cartman who had a chance to have a good life but lost it… so he gets up in the middle of the night once again, like in his childhood, and forces cartman to go with him to kyle’s place, making sure he’s safe and warm. he doesn’t know why he did it, but seeing cartman at his worst makes him feel like the things are so… wrong? so his first thought is to help and save and give him hope and…

i want a happy end for them both :(

i feel like we’ve lost so much by not knowing how kenny spends his time in the afterlife when he dies. like. imagine if he actually hangs out in hell sometimes. if when he dies he goes to satan to gossip and tell him latest updates on the life of south park’s citizens. i have a headcanon that satan is kenny’s father figure. can we prove otherwise? not really. now it’s canon for me.

also i hc kenny and damien being really close friends and i like to think about damien making bets on how long kenny will live before returning to hell this time.

istg if kyle having a crush on heidi in s21 was mattrey’s real intention, i’d be so disappointed. like. they know how to write about relationships, feelings and crushes, but the attempt to make kyle be in love with cartman’s girlfriend is either a very self-conscious and intentional kyman proof, or the lamest romantic plot EVER created.
