30 days of productivity: day 2-day 4/30
I've been studying a bit but haven't been posting so here's what I've done in the last week:
advanced database ch1
started discrete maths and combinatorics ch1
finished required online courses
backlog for software engineering project
started learning html
Progress :)
day 20/30 of productivity
Calc II exam's tomorrow and I just want it to be over! I feel like my whole brain is just integrals and trig functions.
day 13/30 of productivity
still tired. Im going to have another exam after this week and then in a month it'll be finals and in between all that I have assignments to submit and worksheets to complete 😞 but summer break's coming and I'll rest soon.
day 5 of 30 days of code
(didn't do anything yesterday cos i was out all day and had a headache when i came home)
today i redid an exercise our prof gave in class.
day 9/60 of productivity
worked out
washing
2hrs of kotlin.
I do not like this language :( but it makes me happy that my c++ knowledge makes learning a new language easier
day 1 of 30 days of code
honestly don't know if i can do something every day for a month, much less post about it on here regularly but i'm going to try. no pressure though, if i'm ill or super tired i'm allowed to skip a day or two. but i'm going to give it a go, even if some days it's like 10 lines that i write on my phone on my commute home. and i think it'll be easier to post on here because i just have to take a screenshot of my code.
anyway tonight i focused on user input validation because it's something i kinda forget about when working with functions.
day 8/30 of productivity
a little more calculus and a lot of assembly language 🙄
I'm going to start another challenge tomorrow this week next week because the 30dop really helped last semester. this time it'll be 60 days of productivity.
goals for this challenge:
- study and complete at least two classes I'll take next year
- revise c++ and study oop in c++
- learn java
- do at least 5 projects in java and c++ each
I hope you're all having a good summer :)
so the 60 days of productivity challenge did not work out and that's fine we can always start over. but I've realized the way I've been studying is fragmented and all over the place so I've decided that I must do the following things:
1. Learn java
2. Then finish the kotlin course
3. Then make an app
4. then study more c++
5. then do a project in c++
and this seems very ambitious but I'm not planning to be an expert in these languages anytime soon, just know enough to make stuff and grow my knowledge through practice. ideally I'd like to do all of these things by mid to late October. And I'll do projects throughout the year so I don't forget and can improve :)
I'm starting java today, I'll post a lot here to keep myself accountable and I hope I can do it. I'm excited to learn new languages and build things!
day 21/30 of productivity
had my calc exam today (horrible awful but it's fine) and I finished the database group assignment- also awful and horrible but ultimately fine. The submission date got moved to tomorrow instead of today and like I've been saying in every post I am soooooo tired. on the right is a cappuccino I bought impulsively yesterday cos I knew id be staying up all night. It didn't do anything for me cos coffee never does but I like to pretend.
