It will never not be funny to me that Khun is an ice wielder, yet he's always the first to complain about it being too cold.
Fanart by Onokanmuri.
Instead of working on what I’m supposed to, I wrote a short one off theory/”What if?” scenario for Tower of God of Arlene being Phantaminum’s real identity. If your interested, give it a read and tell me what you think.
I feel that if Chuuya was arrested for his crimes, he'd be handed back over to the military instead of being sent to prison or executed. I imagine something like the arahabaki program would be Expensive, like billions of dollars Expensive (considering they made not one but two specialized labs for it), so they'd want something to show for it. And since it was technically a success, they'd probably want to keep Chuuya alive and attempt to salvage what they could from the program, despite the head researcher being dead or whether Chuuya was cooperative or not.
Okay, so in the Traumerei Amizu flashback, it's implied that the only people to enter the room where Traumerei had shut himself in after Amizu announced that she was leaving were other members of the 10 family heads. Somehow, I doubt he was close to anyone else given his reclusive nature. If that is the case, then who the fuck is he?
There's only three family heads we haven't seen in any capacity. Ari Han, Bloodmadder, and Tperie. We can rule out Ari since he probably looks similar to his cousin, Arie Hon (personally, I think SIU should have leaned into the closeness of their names and just made them twins). That leaves Bloodmadder and Tperie. I'm leaning toward Tperie because of all the eyes. What's all your thoughts on it?
I'm sure someone's already done it, but I'd love to see a comic or something of Dazai quoting Genie's "Phenomenal cosmic powers, itty bitty living space" while referring to Chuuya.
Unfortunately, I possess no drawing ability. So, free idea for anyone.
Season 4 of Tower of God will be interesting as far as lore building goes. Because Baam's been told about his parents multiple times. Data Edahn specifically told him about V. Cha told him about Arlene. And while Data Edahn probably only knew early V, Cha would've known Arlene (or heard of her) during the Great War. Baam has an idea as to who his parents are. What kind of people they were. So, I'm wondering how much of his interactions with V is going to contradict/reinforce the image Baam has of them in his head.
Random thought that crossed my brain about BSD. In Stormbringer, Dazai has Rimbaud's journal, and he read it. Given that it was a spy's journal, it's safe to assume it was encoded, but Dazai’s probably smart enough to break a code. However, Rimbaud would have written it to be decoded into French (becauseya know, he's French), not Japanese. So, Dazai either had to have someone else translate/decode it (unlikely), learned to read French fluently (a nightmare in and of itself because fuck how letters work apparently) before breaking the code, or he was already fluent in French at 16.
I like that there is a legitimate reason to explain how a technique works in JJK. We all know it's just a trope in anime to call out/explain abilities and a quick way for the author to inform the reader/viewer what's going on. But making it so that explaining a technique makes it stronger is a creative way to incorporate that trope and provides a believable reason as to why a character would be willing to explain their attacks to an opponent without it enturely being an actual detriment.
I may not word this right, but I like that Apothecary Diaries doesn't reduce any of the female characters to just victims. In so many stories that involve sex work, it seems like the women are victims first and characters second. As if their character is made completely around the fact that they've had this experience and that dictates everything about what they do and think in the story. And while Apothecary Diaries certainly doesn't shy away from the dark side/trama that can come from that line of work, it does do a good job at acknowledging that none of the characters are really defined by it or shamed for it in the story for that matter.
Chapters: 15/? Fandom: All For The Game - Nora Sakavic Summary:
“Potential.” Riko slammed Neil against the wall again and whirled on Kevin. Kevin stared back at him, white-faced and tense. “You said that goalkeeper had potential and then wrote him off as useless when I offered him to you...” - The Foxhole Court, Ch. 13.
Nathaniel was given to Ichirou as his private hitman after his skills as a marksman were revealed when the Moriyama tracked him and his mother down after they ran away.
Riko decided to surprise Kevin with matching “pets” after he found out the goalkeeper that Kevin was interested in had a twin.
When Nathaniel is ordered to join the Ravens for a year to cover for a series of hits, his smart mouth meets Andrew’s prickly attitude and things get interesting.
