BUT instead he succeeds bc everyone already knew he was a sorcerer and when uther woke up well and found out merlin saved him he was so disgusted that he was saved by magic that he grabbed a knife and stabbed his throat IN FRONT of both merlin and arthur. like what the fuck is happening rn i feel like im going insane
