Summary: Working as Wasuke Itadori's personal assistant wasn't all that bad. You got paid well, the hours were reasonable, he wasn't a complete asshole like most CEO's were. But there was a catch, and it came in the form of his charismatic son that trouble always seemed to follow. Or maybe he was the problem? Just don’t say you weren’t warned about him.

“Don’t be like that,” he began to call out to you. “I’m not even trying to turn you into my plaything— or whatever the fuck you called it!”

Yet there’s no response, you just keep walking away from him, leaving him high and dry once-a-fucking-gain. He pulls out his phone to text the god damn cockblock, asking what time the after party starts.

After he presses send, he finishes off what’s left of the contents in his flask then throws it off the balcony, hoping it hits some pedestrians head on the way down. 

Because fuck them too.

“I’ll have a good rest of my night alright,” he mumbles to himself. 

He comes back down just in time for the auction. He usually doesn’t join, but this time he does. It’s only 10:00 pm anyways, and he’s in the mood to burn some fucking cash. 

And that he does, putting in the highest bids for a vintage Rolex and a rare painting by some artist who’s name he could barely pronounce right now— amongst other things he probably won’t be able to remember once he wakes up tomorrow morning. 

Shit— he’ll probably wake up to some news article, talking about how charitable he was. 

After spending a ridiculous amount of money in his twin's eyes, Jin decides to politely interfere. He knew the man better than anyone and knew for a fact he was not in a good mood right now, despite the grin he’s sporting on his face. 

“Hey, the bar’s clearing up, wanna come get a drink with me?” Jin offers, he was more confident than usual. “Haven’t gotten the chance to try one of those Negroni’s yet.” 

“Fuck yeah.” Sukuna easily takes up the offer, getting up from his seat and leading the way. 

The pair walk past you but you don’t notice, because you were too busy talking to some loser Sukuna’s literally never seen before. He’s had it with randoms showing up to these events, and sends a quick text on his phone because of it. 

Jin notices how tense he gets from the sight, and gets a broad idea of what may have happened. He wasn’t bringing that up though.. maybe some other time. He just needs to get his brother to cool off, he showing the type of recklessness that screams ‘say one wrong thing to me and i’m fucking this whole place up’.  

“You excited for the watch?” Jin attempts to make small talk with him after they both sit down.

“You don’t give a fuck about that watch,” Sukuna was quick to respond, the rather ridiculous question seemed to have sobered him up slightly. “What do you want?” 

“What’s wrong?” He asked, not bothering to hide how concerned he was. “You don’t even like paintings and you spent hundreds of thousands on one.” 

“Your older brother can’t splurge a little?”

“You’re only older by a few minutes,” Jin goes off track and argues, he’s sick of hearing that whenever Sukuna decides to deflect. “Look, you’re just off tonight—“

“—I’m fuckin’ perfect,” he cuts his brother off and shoots him a glare.

He holds his hands up in defeat. “I’ll stop asking you about it.. just— please don’t do anything you’ll regret tonight. Please?”

“Why? You scared?” He begins to taunt him. 

“Yes,” Jin was quick to admit. “We’ve been doing good– you, me, dad. It’s been easy between us all, even Yuji’s happier because of it.”

Sukuna groans, “Here you go bringing that little brat up again, trying to guilt me and shit.”

“That little brat loves you,” He defends his son. “If you won’t do it for me or dad, do it for Yuji. He cries whenever he goes too long without seeing you.”

“I know,” he snickers. “He’s a fuckin’ crybaby like you.”

Jin begins to laugh with him, glad he was able to disarm his temper, he’ll always be a better uncle than a son. “Cheers– maybe let me borrow that rolex sometime?”

Sukuna chuckles as he clinks his glass against Jin’s, “Not in a million years.”

After taking a sip, they were both interrupted by Satoru straight up screaming at them from the poker table across the room about how much more money he’s won– drunk as fuck, surrounded by all their other friends. Suguru seems to be trying to calm the man down, but he’s obviously way too hyped up right now. 

He doesn’t seem to realize that the money’s meant to be donated to charity, and he’s probably the only other person in this room who can get just as violent as Sukuna. And being the only heir to Gojo Enterprise, he can get away doing just about anything as well. Those who know him well enough can only hope he takes the news well in the morning tomorrow, or afternoon. 

But aside from all that, everyone seems to be having the night of their lives, especially Wasuke. He bought a bunch of shit from the auction tonight too and is currently showing them off to his close friends, maybe Sukuna will gift him that painting, it’ll probably make him less angry at what he’s planning on doing tonight. 

If he gets caught. 

He doubts it though.

“Yeah– and then there will be a raffle right before the event ends at midnight,” you continue to explain to Ken, one of the journalists that got permission to attend tonight's event. “All of the money that goes into buying the tickets will also be donated as well, and the raffle prize is for a 2-week stay at.. some private island.”

Ken chuckles at your sudden laxness, “Oh c’mon, you helped plan this whole thing out and you can’t even remember the grand prize?” He lightly teases you. 

“Honestly-” you sigh. “The past two months have been a blur. I’m surprised I was even able to give you all of that information,” you admit. 

“I’m just messing with you,” he smiles and looks down at his notepad. “Alright last question– what’s your number?”

“Hm? Like to our office? I’d have to ask Mr. Itadori if I can give that out,” you say obliviously. 

“No, like your personal number.” He chuckles as he corrects you, lightly tapping on the notepad with his pen.

Ken is admittedly very hot. But you really shouldn’t.. you already rejected Sukuna and feel pretty bad about that. Not only that, but this is a work event. You should really extend your whole don’t mix business with pleasure thing to Ken’s advances toward you, even if you don’t actually work with him on the daily. 

But that’s the thing, you don’t directly work with him, and you doubt he’ll show up at the next company’s event. 

“Here, I’ll write it down for you.” You offer, giving the man a smile. 

He hands you the notebook and you write your number down, as you’re doing so, Wasuke screams your name from across the room. 

“Get over here! I want a picture with my assistants!” He drunkenly yells.

“Guess I gotta go now. It was nice meeting you, Ken.” You say before making your way towards your boss. “Text me!”

Akio’s already standing next to Wasuke and the photographer by the time you walk across the vast room to get to them. And yes, Wasuke can yell that loud, it’s something he’s had to learn, being a father to someone like Sukuna.

“Akio,” he gruffly says. “Why the fuck are you in the middle?”

“I– uh, I don’t know Sir.” He responds, clearly confused by that question. 

“Let her stand in the middle, fuckin” attention whore,” he says, then begins to laugh at how scared Akio got at first.

“Sorry Akio,” you chirp out as you make your way to stand next to them. 

“It’s alright,” he nervously laughs along with his boss. 

Wasuke makes the photographer take multiple photos, for literally no reason other than to just get full use out of the photograph. On the 6th photo, you realize who’s about 20 feet away from you and it’s Sukuna. 

You were hoping he had left already so you wouldn't have to run into him.

He’s at a poker table, having the best time with his friends. At least that’s what it looks like– he has a random girl on his lap, she’s kissing on his neck and you have no idea how that’s even appropriate for a fucking work event. But like you said earlier, he can do whatever he wants and not have to deal with the consequences. 

To make it all worse, he’s staring right at you and doesn’t try to hide it, even well after locking eyes with you. You don’t know what he’s enjoying more, having a girl as pretty as her on his lap or the fact that you see that she’s on his lap. 

Not that it matters, you were the one who turned him down. You were starting to feel like a bitch over how you just left him all alone on the balcony like that and this scene just completely reversed it. It actually made you feel a thousand times better about giving someone your number in the same night too.

This was all for the best, things would’ve never worked with him. His own father warned you about him from the very beginning. At least now it seems like he’ll be moving on to his next interest soon. 

Maybe work will actually go back to normal as well. 

You stay at the event up until the very end, just like you promised to Mariko and some of the new interns. The night ended up being pretty fun, especially after staying away from the section Sukuna was in. You think you may have made a new friend with Mariko too, she’s easy to get along with. You’ll definitely be hitting her up soon to go out for lunch or something. 

You make your way to one of the side rooms where they keep important guests coats to grab your own, courtesy of Wasuke being a decent boss. Before you put it on, you decide to order an uber right then and there so you wouldn’t have to be sitting outside in the cold air for too long, which was a great idea since the uber was less than 2 minutes. 

Footsteps made their way toward the small room, but you were too busy throwing your coat on to even notice or care. You looked like you were in a rush too, which is why Sukuna didn’t bother to say anything. He wouldn’t even know what to say, if he had known you’d be in here, he probably would’ve waited to grab his own coat. 

But of course, like the person he is, he can’t exactly keep his mouth shut when it comes to you. 

“You leavin’?” He asks, taking his coat off the hanger. 

“Huh? Oh– yeah,” you respond. You don’t notice it’s him. “Night Jin! I’ll see you back at work on monday.” You were quick to wave him off as you hurriedly left the room, not wanting to make you wait for too long.

“Night,” he says through gritted teeth.

“Hey– they just let me know that guy got home.” Satoru says. They’re currently in a limousine right now, en route to Suguru’s place for the after party. 

“Fucking finally.” Sukuna says, doing one last line and handing the glass tray off to one of the women that decided to join them. “Been waitin’ all night for this,” he pulls his phone out.

Satoru shoo’s the girl that was next to Sukuna away so he can sit next to him and watch his phone screen. Sukuna pulls out an extra phone from his other pocket as well. 

After a couple minutes of typing what looks like a random bunch of codes to his friend, he’s able to pull up live camera footage of Ken’s home– the street cameras so clear he can see the moonlight reflection bouncing off his car. 

“Hold this for me,” Sukuna mutters, handing him the phone and proceeding to do a bunch of other confusing shit on the second one. “Alright, watch this shit,” he says rather mischievously. 

Both their eyes zero in on the screen as Sukuna presses a final button, which makes the screen turn bright fucking orange and the camera momentarily shake. 

They both burst out laughing from it– they’re not there, but that shit must’ve felt like an earthquake, and if Ken wasn’t awake before, he’d definitely be awake now. 

Their laughter begins to die down the same time the street camera self-corrects itself. Soon they’re met with a view of Sukuna’s flawless work– what was once a car is now a giant, mangled piece of metal, surrounded by thousands of broken pieces, that were on fire. 

Good thing he didn’t have a lawn, because his house would’ve caught on fire after a few minutes. But there’s something that tells him Ken’s not thinking about that right now, as he holds his head and paces back and forth on his porch.

It was fucked up, but whatever. The device he had planted in his engine self-destructs and burns itself to ashes after going off, there was no way it would go back to him. He convinces himself it’s what he deserves, especially after eyeballing you the way he did well after you said goodbye to him. 

He wonders if Mr. Kunt will text you all about his car "randomly" exploding tomorrow and it gives him a little idea, but he ends up pushing the thought away. He still respects you enough to not invade your privacy like that. 

He knows that once he crosses that line, there wouldn’t be any going back from that on his end, it might actually turn into some weird fucking obsession from there. 

“Hey sweetheart,” he calls one of the girls and locks eyes with the first one that turns her head. He didn’t catch any of their names. “Pass me that tray, will ya?”
