My piece for Volume II of @atelierhylia! Based on Georges Rochegrosse's "Ce fut dans un chaud crépuscule" (1903). The zine is available for free now!✨
rereading tgcf and this may be my favorite hua cheng moment LMAO . like i forget so often that hua cheng is so powerful and terrifying bc he's just so silly
It was a good guess (it wasn’t)
"Just then, Xie Lian felt a pull on his neck. He was wrapped up in a fit of anger, so it startled him. He looked down and saw that the young child had buried his face in his chest, his arms tightly circled around Xie Lian's neck. [...] He held on with a dead grip and wouldn't let go, as if he were holding on to a lifeline"
This scene was so incredible to read. Hong Honger's blood sulling Xie Lian's pure white robes to the point that they are soaked juxtaposed with Xie Lian's pure anger and Hong Honger's need to stay in daixia's arms; to never let go.
Amazing. Spectacular. Never done before 😩🌸 I'm very happy with how all this came together !!
