i know everyone on this website means well, but if you ask me “which of these characters is sadder/wetter/doing worse in general”, and one of the opinions is harry dubois, you’re kidding yourself if you choose the other one. you’re kidding yourself for even suggesting it. he doesn’t know what the alphabet is. everyone he works with fucking hates him. he routinely threatens to kill himself while doing his job. he got broken up with SIX YEARS AGO and is still on like, day one of the grieving stage. he can die from sitting down in an uncomfortable chair. his clothes are soaked in piss and vomit all the time. as if all that wasn’t enough he’s also a cop like come on guys nobody is doing worse than him, we should just accept he’s an unattainable #1 and start polling for who is in second place

One thing that always weirds me out is people commenting on fics like they are literary critics? "This plot-point doesnt avance the overall storyline and is derivative" "the character's actions disregard the overarching themes". Like imagine being able to write —gratis, may I add! Nobody is paying for fanfic!! —, anything in the world but still choosing to be bound by editorial standards and nag random people in the internet about it. Some people out here be acting like they run CinemaSins, —for FANFIC, could you imagine— really couldn't be me.

One thing I absolutely love about Hannibal NBC is how the characters constantly say things that would earn you a punch in the face in real life. "You're like the mongoose I want under my house when the snakes slither by" Like, Sir???? who released you into the wild?? How is that a reasonable response to the question "how do you see me" christ.
