What’s The Fandom Like For Beyblade On Wattpad? Like, Is It Active? Do People Still Read Stories On

What’s the fandom like for Beyblade on Wattpad? Like, is it active? Do people still read stories on there? Because the stories aren’t good and I would like to make a contribution. I know that on AO3, my story didn’t get that much traction but people still liked it. And I wouldn’t mind publishing over on Wattpad as well. I just don’t want to waste my time.

no but let’s review some of the reasons mcu maria hill should be more popular.

by the time she was twenty-five or twenty-six she already had a high enough position at shield to send letters ‘from the office of maria hill.’

by her late twenties/early thirties, she was the deputy director of shield and fury’s second in command.

in the winter soldier, she saved steve and natasha and sam. i think we forget that natasha would have bled out and died if maria hadn’t rescued them. y’know, unless hydra had executed her and steve and sam before she reached that point.

also in the winter soldier, she was an essential part of bringing shield down. (and let’s not forget that “but steve” moment, okay? if steve had died she would have been the woman that killed captain america.)

before age of ultron, she was working at stark industries, managing the avengers, and keeping an eye on coulson and his team. name one other person in the entire mcu who could do that.

she was barefoot during the stark tower fight and afterward she just casually sits there picking glass out of her feet. and then she’s back in her heels the next day.

not to be completely shallow, but come on, she’s gorgeous.

sorry, i just absolutely adore this character.

Random Stranger Things Headcannons

-Dustin has the highest alcohol tolerance. He can go shot for shot with Hopper.

-Max wears a suit to prom. The only time anyone has ever seen her in a dress was at Billy’s funeral.

-El joins the Hawkins cheer team and is really good at it. By senior year she’s the captain.

-Max, Will, Mike, and Dustin do the school plays and every year. Mike skips the musicals because he can’t sing. Dustin always gets the lead.

-Lucas is in choir, and is a great singer. His friends try to convince him to do the musicals, but he doesn’t think he’s a good enough actor.

-Mike is a Notre Dame legacy, but he decides to go to NYU instead for creative writing.

-Ted is apprehensive, but Karen is relentlessly supportive.

-Karen and Joyce were childhood best friends.

-Robin and Steve actually made out one time, as an experiment instigated by Robin. Her hypothesis, that she solely likes women, was correct. Steve was happy to take one for the team.

-Eddie teaches Mike to play guitar.

-Erica would never tell him this, but she considers Dustin her best friend outside of her brother and Tina.

-Steve, always particular about hair, learns to do Erica’s. He’s a wizard at it.

-Lucas is valedictorian of their year, and gets a full ride to UCLA for basketball.

-Max can crack all of her knuckles and anyone’s back. She does it for Mike every day.

-El is a vegetarian.

-Mike and Max are assigned as locker buddies randomly. Mike tries to keep their locker super neat, but Max is a borderline hoarder.

-The Party gets really into Friends in the 90’s. They tease Mike for having Rachel Green vibes.

-El, Dustin, and Lucas hang out as a trio a lot. They have a very specific and unique bond.

-Max babysits Holly Wheeler when Mike and Nancy are unavailable. Holly loves Max, and they develop a Steve and Dustin kind of bond.

-Mike and Max are cat people while Will, El, Dustin, and Lucas are dog people.

Saw this trend going on in another fandom, decided to see what it’d be like if the mfb characters had instagram profiles 😂

Gingka - I can imagine Gingka uploading every week or so, doesn’t post stories much tho. His content consist mostly of photos of Pegasus/beyblade fights, the stars, BURGERS & FRIES (food in general), motivational quotes and other stuff (such as Hokuto in the last pic 😂). If it weren’t for Madoka tho, he probably wouldn’t upload so often.

Kyoya - Literally posts once a year 💀No stories whatsoever. Follows only people he knows or considers to be worthy rivals. Lots of lion pics & pics of Leone. Occasionally a selfie ☺️(to bless the fandom)

Hikaru - Her pics are mostly of coffee dates, the sea/ocean, urban photography. Great attention to detail. Only follows people she knows personally and who inspire her.

Madoka - The real insta queen ✨ Just like Hikaru, she’d pay great attention to details of her photos. Edits the shit out of them. Posts regularly and follows quite a lot of accounts (mostly pages with beyblade, cute stuff and recipes).

Masamune - Either uploads 200 times a month or not at all. His content is mostly beyblade, but he also uploads pictures from his travels. I also think he’d definitely have a matching bio with either King, Zeo or Toby 😂

King - Uploads more stories than actual posts. He also has a surprisingly good eye when it comes to photography and his pictures turn out to be great without him even trying. Takes photo each time he eats a gyros (a Greek dish made from meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie)

Tsubasa - The insta king 🔥 Takes a lot of pictures when he travels and posts regularly (that’s the reason why he has so much followers).

Alright y'all, lemme be real fucking clear here

Jake Lockley is not evil, Jake Lockley is not "just a killer", Jake Lockley is not a bad person

Jake Lockley is a protector in a system that has been severely traumatized as a child and were not protected and taken care of like they should have been.

Yes, he seems more prone to violence than Marc or Steven, but that does not make him an evil, unfeeling person. He's doing what needs to be done to protect them. The times we know for absolute sure that he has shown up (episode 3 in Cairo, episode 6 in the final battle) have been times where the system was about to die. In episode 3, Marc had been knocked down/out by Harrow's followers, and when he comes back front they're on a cliff. It seems like Harrow's followers were about to throw the system off of a cliff, and Jake came front to protect them and keep them alive, and you'll notice that he left the teenager alive, and let Marc back front as soon as the immediate life-threatening danger had passed. In episode 6, Marc was again on the ground, after Harrow threw his worst trauma in his face, with his soul being pulled out of his body, and Layla was surrounded by Harrow's men. Again, Jake fronted to save their life, and then stepped back once the immediate threat to their life was handled

He is not a cold-blooded killer, he's a protector doing his best to keep their system alive when there are people actively trying to fucking murder them

Stop writing him as this cold, hard, unfeeling person. Stop writing him as participating in senseless violence just because he wants to

You are doing a disservice to Jake as a character, and you are waving a bright red flag over your head that tells systems "hey I don't know what I'm talking about but I'm going to perpetuate harmful stereotypes because it's fun for me!"

Fucking. Stop. It.

The Beyblade anime was way more nuanced than any of us realized at the time. For a show that's supposed to be a teenage sports anime about spinning tops, it does quite a deep dive into the psyche, the personalities and mental health of its characters, which I think is rare in that genre. It does not shy away from dark, realistic themes.

We have Tyson who clearly has abandonment issues and I think that they show it pretty well. All the angst and anger he had in G Revolution was very much how a real person would react and the way he feels under pressure as a star - I think it was very well depicted.

We have Max, as the perpetual ray of sunshine and yet they obviously show how much of a face he puts up and how resilient he can be in difficult circumstances. Being underestimated repeatedly and how he comes to terms with it feels very realistic honestly. He's constantly having to prove himself to everyone - his rivals, his own friends and even his mother, who do not believe in him. It must be exhausting to be Max and I think that comes out well a lot of the time.

Kai's inability to attach himself to specific people and his lack of loyalty, as well as the depiction of how he deals with trauma (both in Season 1 vis a vis the abbey and in V Force vis a vis Wyatt) are very wonderfully shown. His emotions are both rational and real. As an adult, I think it's surprising for something so dark translate so well on screen in an otherwise innocuous and funny anime about teenagers.

Ray and the way he often feels conflicted about his loyalties and the responsibility he feels on his shoulder at every moment balanced with his ambitions give a very unique perspective to his character. I think they showed his struggles fairly well.

Hilary feeling like she doesn't fit in with the team, Kenny and his anxiety, Daichi and his excitement which overcompensates for his insecurities- there's so much layers to everyone.

And of course we have the other characters. We had Mariah and her internal turmoil in that whole Asian arc, we had the Russian boys and their whole dark past and bravery in standing up to their abuser in G Revolution, we had the spoilt Majestics getting humbled and seeing the error of their ways, we have Judy finally figuring out how to balance motherhood and her ambitions, we had Mariam stand up to her patriarchal teammates who are too blinded by tradition to see reason, we see Wyatt as the scorned fan, we see Zeo fighting just to be accepted as normal, we have Raul trying to be a worthy match for his twin sister...

And of course, Brooklyn. The dark and light angel versions of Brooklyn in his vision say everything you want to know about him.

Beyblade could have been shallow but it was not. That's what makes it unique. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

How the finale singlehandedly managed to make The Collector the most tragic character in The Owl House:

It says a lot when a crew demonstrates their talent by creating such a complex character with so little time left. The Collector (Naturally, spoilers ahead) Many suspected the redemption. But it’s not just the fact that it happened. It’s the way it was handled. So, let’s do a recap on how everything went, shall we?

Betrayed and used by the Archivists. His siblings. Family. The ones who are suppose to love, teach and protect you. Thrown away into an unknown planet, full of the only creatures that could overcome their magic.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Said family destroyed what were likely the Collector’s first, genuine friends.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Locked away by one of the very same species he had befriended for what his siblings did, for who knows how many years, being alone and forgotten for something they didn’t do.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Finally found by a human, whom the kid really thought was his friend, even trying to amuse his homicidal delusions.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Helped fulfill the man’s objective, but instead of being released as promised, is discarded like garbage along a mountain of corpses.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Get his freedom back after almost giving up, considering King a friend despite initially suspecting even him. A time to rejoice and play, unaware of the damage and trauma being done and becoming dangerously protective of his new friend.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Luz, someone King has talked about a lot and is even jealous of, comes back, apparently to destroy him and take King away, and yet, the Collector never means any genuine harm and is so desperate for companionship that wants to befriend even her. Looks so happy at the possibility of the trio befriending him that is completely unaware he’s being manipulated again.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Gets hurt in all the games being summoned, completely unaware that his new playmates are simply surviving.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Having lived with a madman that destroyed the Grimwalkers he created for hundreds of years only to recreate them again? No wonder he thought even mortal life was as easy to fix as any broken toy, which he demonstrates so casually.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Instead of retaliating, the kid chooses to sulk in a corner, so tired of being used and hurt that it didn’t take long for Luz, the second human he ever met, to get them to open up and explain everything. So disheartened he is about being used and betrayed that tries to force himself to accept the pretending part of everything, even friendship.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Is taught a lesson in friendship, which is taken by heart, to the point the Collector tries it on Belos of all people, someone he helped for +400 years only to cruelly betray him.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

He truly wanted everyone to be friends and learn to forgive, even turning back to Luz to show her how much they learned, even looking like he wants her to be proud of him.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Sees his new friend get killed in front of him and not even his magic can do anything about anything.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Not only is his new friend gone, but there’s much damage he indirectly caused, like trying to befriend Belos and accidentally gave him the idea to possess the Titan. Not to mention the trauma he caused to all the residents of the isles.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Suddenly, we see the Collector’s true nature. A scared, overpowered little kid who didn’t know any better because everybody he met used him and never taught him the value of life. He just wanted friends. And now, he can only watch helplessly as his remaining friends go mad with grief and fury, and not even his powers can save them.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Tears for the first time. Despite everything the kid’s been through, it’s Luz’s death that affects him the most. Luz, the human who got them to open up, who was so patient and kind, who didn’t hesitate for a second to save him from Belos’ blast and even assured him they did good, was now gone. All that was left for him is to apologize for everything and beg Eda and King to run away.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Luz is back to save them from certain death, but it wasn’t his magic that brought her back and he must’ve known that. She looked like a Titan and was even using their magic, which he recognized earlier. Plus he also acknowledged Titans were more powerful than anyone, even Collectors. But there was no time to rejoice or process everything immediately. What mattered most is that she was back, even clinging to her subconsciously so he wouldn’t lose her again.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

But Belos was still a threat. Not even the Collector’s powers were enough to stop him anymore. He did the only thing he could do to help; keep the Archives afloat. Despite being weakened and struggling, he actually takes the time to smile at the Hexsquad to demonstrate the friendliness and will to help.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:
How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Belos is gone. The Collector is exhausted, but probably still more than capable enough of taking on the Hexsquad with a snap of his fingers. Instead, he chooses to cower, bracing themselves for any potential scold or punishment, preferring that over the risk of hurting anybody else ever again.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Tears for the second time, this time in absolute relief and happiness. The people he innocently tormented so much were offering peace and friendship.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

Despite the hardship and trials, the Collector chooses to return to the stars alone for some growth, a sharp contrast from the kid who didn’t want to be alone. But... this shows how much they learned and matured. Not only can they watch the Boiling Isles better from the sky, but it also gives everyone a chance to get used to him and take the time forgive him for everything.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

And yet... he can visit whenever he wants. He’s free at last. Free to make choices. King considers him a real friend now, and he’s likely in the process of making more... all thanks to Luz, whom he shows gratitude to by not only gifting her a portal door to come and go whenever she pleases, but also giving her a spectacular display of light for her birthday.

How The Finale Singlehandedly Managed To Make The Collector The Most Tragic Character In The Owl House:

In the end, after everything the Collector has been through... that’s one heck of a character development. Even though Luz was used by the same person, at least she had many friends and parental figures in her life. The Collector didn’t have any of that. His only genuine friends were eliminated and spent possibly eons imprisoned in a dark realm, being used and manipulated for hundreds of years, with nobody there to play with or befriend.

Bonus: Being himself... saved many lives. By turning everybody into puppets not only spared them of the horror that would come later, but by gathering everybody in one single place also saved every citizen on the isles. Just imagine the number of casualties we would've gotten when Titan Belos started blasting everything on sight and raising the corpse's arm while everybody was still scattered.
