I think something so funny about the LOTR books is that when Gandalf told Frodo about the fact that Gollum used to be a hobbit, and Frodo had his shocked and frustrated reaction, Gandalf was like “well it was obvious, it was clear in his love of riddles” and Frodo had to be like “you know liking riddles isn’t exclusive to hobbits, right?”
