i also woke up in the middle of the night today and i felt the impulse to grab my phone but not even joking i stopped myself by conjuring this image in my brain so i just went back to sleep
I am here to ask for your support to complete my university education outside my city of Gaza after the Israeli occupation destroyed universities and colleges in the Gaza Strip and destroyed education facilities, youth support institutions and training spaces that aim to provide training for all disciplines and then provide job opportunities for young people, most of which were destroyed.
We used to have a beautiful life, despite the siege on Gaza and the wars on it. We used to have a house and now we live in a tent "displaced", we used to have dreams and we pursued them and still do, we used to go to the sea which is the only breathing space for the people of the Gaza Strip, we used to live peacefully despite all the siege. We here in Gaza have brilliant and innovative minds that learn medicine, technology, professional specialties, agriculture, industry, trade and all specialties, we just need someone to support us, appreciate what we do and motivate us to keep going.
October 7, 2023 is a date that I will never forget, we were displaced about 8 times and lived through terror and destruction and are still living it, we saw death with our own eyes and survived death several times, our features changed, we became young people instead of worrying about our future, we became tired of securing water and food for our family and carrying water from a distant place to the tent is very tiring, our bodies are tired of the weights we carry daily and the diseases that spread and we don't know what's next.
I decided to pay back my knowledge and the information I gained from study, search, and workshops by share it on social media. I will answer on everyone's questions, and make webinars as my teachers do with us.
These ideas will help educational community to grows.
My goal in launching my campaign is to raise funds to complete my university studies outside my city, to cover the costs of travel, housing, food, the costs of the university I will attend, and I am currently looking for a distinguished university in the field of graphic design. I asked my friends who attended universities in Europe to suggest some universities, and among my goals after studying is to provide a safe and stable place to live with my family.
I would be very grateful for your support for me and my educational journey.

Please, help me with your donations and by sharing my story so I can keep my family together. I lost my mother due to the lack of necessary medical treatment in Gaza, and I don't want to lose my child and my husband as well. We live in extremely harsh conditions, where the war has destroyed our lives and our hope for a better future. Any help from you could save the lives of my loved ones and give us a new chance at life. 💔💔💔💔🇵🇸🇵🇸🍉🍓🍉🍓🇵🇸🇵🇸
Eman and her family are trapped in Sudan without food, water, or healthcare. All around them, the RSF and SAF attacking both each other and the Sudanese people. They have been in this horrible situation for over a year, and are trying to collect funds so that they can evacuate to safety. However, the fees Sudanese people are charged in order to evacuate are absurdly high, and with Eman’s family being large, they are still a long way from reaching their goal.
Now, the RSF is closing in on Eman’s location. Some people are trying to flee, but there is almost no working transportation, and nowhere safe to flee to.

Honestly as a blind person I’m so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who don’t use white canes or other guides. “They have special powers so they know what’s around them” or “they’re confident enough to not need a guide” are common tropes, and I’m tired.
Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They can’t use a cane because they’re so special that they already know what’s around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because they’re not special?
I’m tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Don’t make white cane users feel ostracized for not being “strong enough” to go without.
Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.
Tldr I’m blind and tired of sighted people lol
something I don't think white ppl really understand is that when you have a poc character, that characters race is actually instrumental to their story. there are the obvious examples - Hazel levesque (hoo), katara and sokka (atla) are characters whose backstories wouldn't work if they weren't their specific races (black and native respectively) but you also have the characters whose personalities are informed by their race - miles morales is the personification of black boy soft masculinity, while devi vishvakumar has a specific type of brown girl insanity. if you are a white person you can't really ever claim them, because they are poc with specific experiences that you, a white person, will never really understand even when these are not explicit. relate to them, sure, but don't claim them. a great example of this is sid pakam from grand army - every person ive seen who say they don't like him or that he has a 'regular coming out story' has always been white. because, to quote tee noir, 'he's gay! children of colour from immigrant families, we won!" sids story is NOT your regular coming out story - it's about coming out as queer when you're the child of immigrants. this also affects his relationship with his family - his parents don't accept him partly because they're conservative but also because they're scared - this is another thing that puts their son in danger in a country that is constantly shitting on people with their skin colour. even his relationship with his sister is the specific desi sibling relationship. other great, but more subtle examples of this are luz noceda (the owl house) and charles rowland (dead boy detectives). luz is labeled as a "troubled kid" not just because she has ADHD, but also because she's afrolatina and thus recieves less sympathy than a white girl in the same position would. charles may be white passing, but he has piercings and a cricket bat and that Desi Boy swag that me and alot of other indian guys I know have. his death was an actual hate crime. we also see this in his relationship with his mom - yes he's worried about her because she's his mum, but it's also because they share the experience of being poc in the house of an abusive white man. his race is important, even if its rarely mentioned. you cannot write poc characters without giving them poc characteristics and backstories - otherwise, its just performative diversity
