My answer: I usually eat ramen noodles, just straight from the styrofoam cup after I pour hot water in it. It’s just so I can drink the rest of the soup in it more easily lmao

Lance

Lance is this strange mix of crazy and calm. he's as level-headed as he can be, but if Guardian is not around to see him, he takes a moment to break down a little

he knows a few things about pregnancy, but he's not a medic of course so he's knowledge isn't that great, and who knows if the child being half-dragon, half-aengel complicates things?

hence, besides listening to Guardian, he spends a lot of time in the library, making research, trying and failing not to freak out every time he finds a case that ended with someone's death

generally speaking, he loves Guardian but knows she can take are of herself. during the pregnancy though? Lance becomes much more protective

he tries not to overdo it though; he really listens to Guardian and whenever she tells him she's okay, he takes back

the one thing that he can't completely believe is that "everything will turn out fine", even though that's the truth. he's optimistic, but he doesn't want to get his hopes up too much, in case he ends up alone again

he wouldn't miss being at the childbirth for the world; he's there, gently holding Guardian's hand and whispering sweet nothings to her. when it's over, he just stares a little - "wait, this was it?" - not really believing it ended well

as soon as he sees that yes, both Guardian and their child is completely fine, he breaks out in a smile so wide his jaw hurts, but he doesn't care. he's the happiest man in the world in that moment, and he will make sure to give his child's life the best he can get

Nevra

one word: overreacting. he's really focused on making Guardian feel as comfortable as possible

"the kid needs a calm atmosphere!!!!" / "okay, then, maybe calm down?"

if her "problematic period" takes a long time, he might start ignoring his tasks as a chief, which doesn't exactly make Huang Hua pleased, though she lets him be

Nevra doesn't want anyone else to meddle in their life; if he hears someone bring up the subject, he gets really angry - "mind your own business!" - then storms away

the only people he's not too proud to confide in are Karenn and Chrome obviously, and, interestingly, Huang Chu. she tries to be of help, which comes in handy at times

I can also imagine Nevra to blame himself to some degree, he apologises to Guardian many times, who just sits there like "??????"

when the childbirth begins, Nevra starts pacing around nervously. he doesn't trust himself enough to stay in one room with Guardian, so he asks Chrome to stay inside and reassure her if needed

when Chrome comes out of the room with a huge grin on his face, Nevra immediately feels like the weight of the world has been taken off his shoulders. some time later, when the bliss starts to ease, he tells Guardian that he actually feels a little embarrassed now, looking back

I don’t know if you mean all of the kids or just one (since you said “first child” I’m guessing it’s the second) so here is Kayla, their youngest kid. She looks 100% like her father, but she is pretty similar to her mom. I didn’t really make up what she’s like when she’s older, so she’s just a little kid in my imagination

this was heavily inspired by  a conversation I had with @imjustsomebodyelse. I’ll still do the collab piece  with “Undrunk”, but I thought this song also fitted the theme so well!

Candy took another shot, hoping that the burning taste of vodka would take her sorrow away, and turned around to look at the crowd. By then, should be studying for the upcoming exam, but her mind could only focus on the face that approached her.

Damn, he was the last person she wanted to see at the moment. After all, he was the reason she was there, drinking all by herself in a corner of the Snake Bar. She couldn’t blame him, though. This place was his second home, of course he’d be there that night.

“Hey.” Nath took a seat  in the barstool next to her and quickly ordered a drink for both of them, as she had already finished hers. “So, how’s college?”

“Good. How’s… Everything?” 

“Fine, I guess.”

They stayed silent, Candy’s heart growing more sad with every second that passed. How did their love turn into this cold, lifeless relation?

We fall for each other at the wrong time

She vividly remembered high school, their relationship back then was pure bliss. When she moved, all she wanted was to stay with him. Be with him. And then, four years later, she got back. The consequences of her actions, however, would mark her until the present moment.

Candy tried to restore what they had, god knows she did, but his heart was stone cold. He didn’t react  anymore to her touch, his words were always sarcastic.

It took months for him to be his friend again and, even though she wanted more, she was content with that. But, then, one night, he made a proposition, one that she should never have accepted.

Being friends with benefits with Nath was something absurd. She loved him, more than anything, and reducing her dreams of a life with him to some casual hook ups would slowly kill her.

But she said yes. Every damn time, Candy said yes. She could blame the alcohol, but she’d be fooling herself. Her love for him made her accept this crumb of affection. But he fucked her so good and made her feel things that nobody else ever did.

That was why she pulled him closer once again and sealed their lips in a kiss. He took her into his apartment, where their drunk bodies became one, roughly pounding into the mattress. When she noticed it, another night had been passed in his bed.

Candy opened her eyes and immediately recognized the bedroom where she was. The sound of running water caught her ears, he was in the shower. Quickly, she got dressed and caught her phone to see if anyone contacted her during the night. There was only one message from Chani, an answer to her previous one.

“You deserve better”, it said.

She was about to answer when Nath returned to the bedroom in a towel. He opened the wardrobe and started to look for clean clothes in silence. Not a single kiss, caress or word.

She left the apartment soon after, feeling emptiness fill her up. Her optimistic side told her that one day he’d be ready to love her again, she’d just have to wait. But how much of herself would she lose until then?  Was her suffering worth it?’

She never felt this much love for anyone as she did for him. The  moments they spent together before were magical. They were a  dream come true. But since she came back, he wasn’t the same. Maybe she should accept the truth: perhaps it wasn’t meant to be.

Nevra is a sucker for both giving and receiving small kisses. he really likes to discover Guardian’s body with his mouth, though it’s a dangerous game as it can quickly turn into something else

however, he doesn’t mind getting the same attention from Guardian. it’s just so cute when she grabs his head and presses her lips against his cheek, it’s almost like she’s giving kisses to a little child

Nevra likes kisses on the lips of course, especially tongued ones. he couldn’t deny he’s a vampire even if he wanted to: sometimes he slightly bites on Guardian’s lips or tongue, though it’s never too strong so it doesn’t hurt her

small pecks on the lips are quite often with the two of them, with a soft smile and some loving words when they are busy but accidentally cross paths. if Guardian doesn’t realise Nevra is near, he would cover her eyes from behind, then press a kiss on her cheek, though she might ask him to stay a bit

the accidental ship aka Armin/Jade

+ armin does not want to hike. jade wants to hike. armin complains he does not have boots. jade buys boots. armin still does not want to hike. jade says he can borrow some of his clothes and they’ll have a picnic in the woods. armin agrees to go hiking.

+ (jade’s voice cracks) “aha nerd” “SHUT UP armin i’m going through my second puberty”

+ jade loves wearing weird 80s inspired sweaters and wool shirts. he basically dresses like a hippie and owns too many turtle neck and beanies. armin only owns nerd hoodies and will gladly steal anything that will fit him. 

+ jade eases armin into outdoor activities so it’s not a big shock of really intense stuff that send him back further in his cave. he encourages armin to get a little more sun, vitamin d will help with his mood, he promises. 

+jade owns a lot of plants and names every single one of them. he introduced every one of them to armin. when he gets a new one he’ll send him a picture and ask what its name should be.

+ they definitely smoke weed together from time to time. jade gets really giggly when he’s high and just tells the most absurd stories to make armin laugh. 

+ their first kiss probably happened while they were coming down from a high together and were both very very tired and it just seemed to be the next natural move to make.

+ jade isn’t a big gamer but he sure plays stardew valley and animal crossing and also tried his hand with the sims. playing with someone just makes it even more fun. they end up playing with a big family living on a farm raising chickens. armin shows him all the cheats. 

+ jade is a very chill and sweet, and he can sense sometimes when armin is particularly stressed out and bottling it up, or when his add is acting up, and he just needs to be grounded. jade is very good at that.

+ armin helps him take care of some things in the garden, and take care of his own plants too. he always finds himself smiling when he surprises jade talking to one of them. he says it’s good to talk to inanimate things because you’re sure that they’re listening. 

+ similarly, when jade gets random bouts of dysphoria (ding dong i hc jade is trans) and is just not in the mood, armin will him his space but still make sure that if he needs to talk, armin will be the inanimate object that he can be sure will listen. 

+ jade was 5’7 before starting T and ended up at just a little more than 5’8, and now being almost as tall as armin. he jokes that if only he could get another inch they could settle the Height War

+ neither of them are morning people. well, jade a little more than armin, he’ll most likely get up before 9, but he’s also more likely to take a nap in the afternoon. he’s given up trying to get armin up before 11 on days off.

+ armin learns to like being outside a little more; he learns that he love most of all taking walks at night with jade, when the grass is wet and the air is cool, when the stars shows and they keep their voices down because everything else around them is silent.

this is really funny, because there's a show here called "The Teacher" (A tanár), which evolves around a teacher very creative I know. his girfriend / finacée / anything is his colleague, and based on what you said about May's parents, the two of them are a bit similar

we don't know much about her father yet (it's a currently ongoing show), but we do know that she and her mother have a bad relationship since her mother tries to control her life (not in the "you're a dumbass so let me do everything instead of you" kind, she just wants to make lots of decisions instead of her daughter, to help her)

it's also really funny because even though the main character doesn't look like Rayan at all, and their personalities are quite different as well, there are just moments when he reminds me of Rayan hahahhh

it's interesting to see all this stuff about May. does he father know / see / do anything about her bad relationship with her mother? do her parents have a bad relationship as well? (I'm sorry, but I got curious ahahahhh)

Nah, it’s okay kkkkk you guys can 100% be curious about it, I’m totally fine by that, don’t apologize. Most of it I wrote on personal notes that I never share, because I simply don’t think ppl are interested, but if you guys are, I’m totally okay in answering questions/asks about it. 

Her mom and her father actually have a really good marriage, they’re like, partners in business, pleasure and all, and that made both very selfish and eager to keep a certain style of life that unfortunately didn’t work with a baby to carry around all the time. That’s why they left May to be raised in France with her Grandparents. 

But her father does take May’s side when the fights scale enough to drag him into it. However, May’s mother is the type that truly believes that she wants only the best for her daughter’s life (just as hypocritical as that it sounds) and she justifies her behavior to everybody else through this argument, that she’s only trying to be part of her daughter’s life and prevent her from committing mistakes. 

So May’s father finds difficult to make a point and help change her behavior, but more often than not, he’s the one that actually supports and side with May the most from the two of them. However, it’s not like May and her father are super close, because they aren’t. The decision of leaving May and put such distance into their relationship as her parents it’s so much as his as her mother’s. 

But they, as a couple, works well together because both looks younger, successful and well-traveled, sophisticated even. So they have a lot in common and they have a partnership that has nothing to do with anything related to their personal differences with May (as cold hearted as it sounds).  

A good example of that is, when they actually met Rayan, her mother found the age gap unacceptable and the fact that he’s just a university professor equally bad, not what she wanted for her daughter. 

Meanwhile, May’s father actually accepted Rayan and he actually meets with them, when he’s in town to go out and have dinners, or even invite them both to an art exposition and such. 

The only important thing for him is that May is sure about what choices and that she really loves Rayan - he also watched them for a while to be sure. Also, he doesn’t think that he has any right to tell his adult daughter who she should date or not kkkkkk which is in a sense so much better than what her mother does. 

The one that had the whole “if you hurt my daughter ever I will chop down your legs” was actually May’s grandfather that actually LOVES Rayan kkkkkkk he adores Rayan to absurd levels, call him son, text him and all. May’s grandma also absolutely adores Rayan. 

They got introduced to Rayan when he was still May’s teacher and at first, they did get their own reservations and it was a tense conversation first, but they got pass it with time and learning more about him. Nowadays Rayan is part of the family and is like a second son for them.
