Stand Under A Natural Arch In The Rain. Live The Life With Abandon. Stop Long Enough To Get Wet And Then
Stand under a Natural Arch in the rain.
Live the life with abandon.
Stop long enough to get wet and then see the beauty of nature. Not the dull day to day nature, but the spring-fresh nature. Smell the wet rock and verdant vegetation. Taste the sweet, clear air. Hear the drops hitting the rock above your head and then feel those drops splash on your face as you peer into the water logged sky. You walked miles to this place, to this special place. You need this balance in your life. Your soul will remember this moment...Live long and prosper...d
This is the "Tower Arch" in Arches National Park..A long and joyous hike...
Downy, soft clouds gently coercing
the intense rays of an August sun
to travel in practiced patterns.
Shadow and Light slowly dancing
with the red rock spires as their partner.
It is only thru the benevolent nature
of the Earth Mother that such joyous
sights are revealed...dennis
Faith needs no symbol.
It is by definition a fervent belief that a human holds in their soul. Still ,we have continually objectified "faith" and built incredible businesses around the symbol of faith that has no price..
I hold my faith very close to my soul and need no false gods..
Still I do love architecture...dennis
The wind whispers with the faint sounds of summer laughter. The elders are gently urging the community to increase their efforts.Winter is coming. The warm summer breezes at this 7,000 ft high community will soon turn into the shrieks of a harsh cold winter wind.
But today, all I can hear is that faint laughter from a thousand years ago echoing off the warm canyon walls... dennis

Empty your troubled mind
into the vast Nevada skies.
Let your heart see the the options
that life offers in the arms of nature.
Fill your soul with the incredible
possibilities that lie around the corner... dennis
Dragons
The night can hold many dragons.
As a child, they live under the bed.
As a teen, they hide in school tests.
As a adult, they can hide in the sky.
The building clouds on a spring evening very quickly turn into giant behemoths that spew fire and scream at the earth with voices that thunder across the plains and into the ears of the adults huddled safely fearing dragons.
Well perhaps not fearing, but certainly aware that dragons are out there,
lurking in the soft fluffy clouds of spring.
The weather is a part of nature we all need to be aware of and respect...dennis
"Dol Guldur"
Land of legends and ancient secrets.
Darkness rules the land with evil intent.
Light slowly erodes the darkness;
Revealing the art of wind and the sculpture of nature .
Last seen somewhere in the vast area of "The Swell" central Utah. Enjoy the story ...d
The ever present Dark Skies: attempting to gather the light of the night into a gentle hug. Trying to smother the ability of the cosmos to keep a small light burning in the window.
This night, those Dark Skies will lose their battle. They will be defeated by the forces of light. Fighting without the moon, the stars are themselves the star.
Fight on Milky Way. Show us the way home. Keep the light lit in the sky we love...dennis
Four walls blocking the light.
A door which speaks to the visitors.
Walkways leading your eyes to the darkness and the latent smell of incense mixing with the warm air.
The intimidating house of worship calls, no, beseeches,
"Enter and be among friends and companions"
and yet one soft piece of beauty shines without favor.
Beautiful sunlight streaming onto the old pine floor.
Blue sunlight softened by the glass art of a craftsman.
Soft blue light making this gathering spot like a welcoming friend.
