I’ve Come Across Plenty Of Time Travel Fix-it Fic’s, Where Michael Ends Up In His Younger Selfs Body.

I’ve come across plenty of time travel fix-it fic’s, where Michael ends up in his younger selfs body. There’s really only one thing I feel like the fics are missing, which is Cotard's syndrome, also called walking corpse syndrome or Cotard's delusion, basically it’s a rare mental disorder where the affected person believes that parts of their body are missing, or that they are dying, dead, or don't exist. Michael, I have him having been dead for 37 years, so he’s been a walking corpse for longer then he’s been alive. So it wouldn’t be that odd for him to still think he’s dead.

Don’t know why I didn’t reblog this master piece earlier, but I am now. I have been looking for a map of Ninjago that I could base off my geography for my Ninjago AU on. If you haven’t yet check out Joshuad17′s work you should, his art’s amazing, and his headcanons(?) I don’t know what to call them,) are great as well.

I figure I would share this here, since people are already posting it. It's my current map of Ninjago, featuring everything up to Season 13! I worked with Tommy Andreasen on the locations, to make sure they were as accurate as possible.

Here’s the excerpt from Two Lies, One Truth, it’s quite short about a paragraph, but hey whatever.

I actually thought about this while watching this scene unfold. Harumi explaining why Garmadon couldn’t kill Lloyd.

——————————————————————

“A child isn’t born from a side. A child encompasses all.” The explanation was weak, even parents who love and care for their children can still kill them. Something else was at work and it didn’t sit well. He was able to beat his son down with no problem a week ago. Would he have been able to have delt the finale blow then? It would have been better for her plans, but she wouldn’t have her revenge. She just hoped he wouldn’t realize how weak her reasoning was.

——————————————————————

As I said earlier, I thought about this while watching the episode. Her explanation was weak, and not based much in facts. Because like I pointed out, even parents who love their child can still kill them, according to FBI statistics, there are over 450 filicide’s each year in the United States alone and most filicide’s are Altruistic (out of love) or Psychotic.

The types of filicide are; Alturistic, Psychotic, Unwanted child, Child maltreatment and Spousal revenge.

One Of Them Will Have To Get Finished Eventually, Right???

So I had mentioned that in my post NinjagoUA about adding “more dark aspects” but Ninjago has a lot of dark aspects, I’d just really have to expand on them. I have even compiled a list of some of these dark aspects. Like TannerFishies had said in his video the other day that the Sons Of Garmadon and Hunted had definitely upped the maturity for the show.

Here’s the list of some of the dark aspects I get to work with.

- Kidnapping

- Child Endangerment

- Child Abandonment

- Neglect

- Cannabilism

- Suicide pact

- Attempted suicide

- Imprisonments

- War

- War crimes

- Torture

- Genocide

- Regicide

- PTSD

- Possession

- Slavery

- Cultists

- Manipulation

- Child abuse

- Attempted filicide

- Gang violence

- Execution

- Racism

- Race war

Just because it’s a kids show doesn’t mean it’s just for kids. There is plenty of kid shows that have dark aspects similar to the ones I’ve listed. Search some of these aspects that show up in kids shows and you’ll come across a lot.

Or go to either PhantomStrider or blameitonjorge’s channels on YouTube and take a look at one of their many videos on children’s shows.

as true as the jokes about “everyone wants to rewrite ninjago” are i feel like smthn people forget when complaining about the inconsistencies of the show is that…. it wasn’t planned? it’s not like most other animated shows lately - it didn’t start with a deeply fleshed out world or a meticulously designed pitch bible with grandiose plans for a long-term story or character arcs. the ninja don’t originally get their powers from heredity because they weren’t hereditary powers yet. the magic system doesn’t make sense bc they literally just made it up as they went! they go back and forth on stuff like whether non-elementals can learn spinjitzu bc it’s a collaborative piece of media made by people with vastly different levels of control over the story, the animation, the sets, etc. that varied over the course of the series. it’s totally understandable and exciting to see so many people reworking the early stuff with the lore and logic later seasons introduced but i personally feel that… if you’re doing that. you need to understand why the show is like that instead of writing it off as being bad and shitty. it was working with what it had. it’s only what it is now because of that awkward troubleshooting phase, not in spite of it
