So, I kinda love rendering armor now.
Ok, so let’s get this started with headcannons that are close to my heart: Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunters meeting Rick Riordan’s Demigods! • So I think this would start of as most things in Camp Half-Blood does, with a prophecy • I’d imagine it would go something like this : “three half-bloods, Born of angels and gods, Will fight against the greatest odds To fight the monsters of the deep, For these worlds should never meet In either peace or grief this will end To make both foes And friends” • Meanwhile this whole mess got started because Zeus knocked up the wrong girl, a Shadowhunter girl. • It’s not Clary, it’s Emma. • So now on top of all the paritbati stuff, she has to deal with that she is definitely not carrying a normal Shadowhunter baby, because, while she doesn’t know that the father is Zeus, she does know that the dude was not a Shadowhunter or a mundane. • So she does the next best thing she can think of: she runs away. • In her mind she thinks it’s for the best: the best for both Julian and for her child. • A few months later, Clary and Jace are on a date at Coney Island, when they go to the beach, they meet this man selling shaved ice, so they go ahead and grab some. But Clary could sense that something wasn’t right. • And she was right. Since Zeus started the ball rolling, his brothers had to follow his lead, the dude with the shaved ice was Poseidon. And he put some magic potion in Clary syrup so that she could carry his child without Poseidon ever having to “do it” with her ( first off, the gods have come up with very unconventional ways of having their demigod children over the years. Two, Poseidon knew that there was no way to get to Clary with Jace, because she’s to loyal for that. And three, about why Clary specifically and not someone single, he had sort of a crush on Clary and because of her status as a hero, if the child came from her, then the Clave might be less likely to exile it.) • Hades now has to sire a child with a Shadowhunter but goes a slightly less than ideal route with this one, he goes what I like to call the Heracles route, because Zeus went this route to site Heracles in the myth, Hades disguises himself as a lady’s husband, knocks her up, leaves, at which point her actual husband returns and does the same thing. • It’s Tessa if your wondering. Hey, at least Persephone isn’t gonna be out to get the kid and the parents for something they had no control over *cough* Hera*cough*. This is gonna be part one for this and I’ll upload part two later, but for now this is it. What do you guys think?
COMPLETE LIST OF NAMED CLONE TROOPERS Organized by Unit *updated 3/8/23*
Ever needed to know who served under Jedi Master Luminara Unduli? Trying to name an OC and don’t want to repeat a name? Use this handy guide! I went through the list on Clone Trooper Wiki and organized everyone. Many of these names do not have verifiable links, but if it was a name and it was on the list, I included it.
Some notes: An *asterisk in front of a name denotes a group leader of some sort.
(Sorry about the pictures. There’s no way I could have formatted this on tumblr. And be sure and click through to the original permalink! Because things may have been updated since this has been in circulation. Also if you think someone is missing from the list, please tell me who and where they belong.)

1: Scorbus- I feel like either most of the fandom or even all of the fandom just kind of accept this one a cannon, but since JK Rowling has never confirmed it, it gets to come up here. I don’t feel like this one needs much explanation.
2: Wolfstar- Kinda the same with Scorbus, practically all of the fandom just accepts that these two were a thing at one point. I personally see Sirius as gay and Remus as bisexual, but if you think differently, that is totally fine.
3: Bisexual Harry- let’s be honest here, Harry was kind of thick headed, and still kind of is, so it would not surprise me in the slightest if he was bi and never even knew it about himself. I saw one post a while back on Harry being bi and it just made so much sense to me. I’ll try to make this short, but the sum of it is that, Harry has only directly called one GIRL beautiful, Fleur, and let’s be frank here, that ones kind of a given, but he has directly called multiple BOYS handsome on plenty of occasions, Sirius and Cedric for example. There is also his obsession with both Draco and Snape to point to. I believe the reason he never knew this about himself, or at the very least, never acted on it, was because of his childhood at the Dursleys’. From the way they act and behave, I would honestly not be surprised if they made a very homophobic comments on multiple occasions or simply say that it was a forbidden topic and that Harry and Dudley were never allowed to talk about it. It’s not secret that Harry had a sh*+y childhood, so I would honestly not be surprised if this is exactly what happened.
4: Aromantic Asexual Charlie Weasley- This is kinda another one that the fandom just accepts and occasionally jokes about. I also accept this as cannon.
5: Demisexual Snape- Not very surprising to accept and think about after learning what Demisexual is and given that Snape never got over Lily, AT ALL, it’s basically cannon.
6: Asexual Newt Scamander- Okay I saw a post somewhere, probably Pinterest, comparing the Hogwarts Houses with sexuality’s and Hufflepuff matched up with Asexual. And think back on it, Newt may be Asexual too. Not because he is in Hufflpuff, but because of how he falls in love. With Newt, in both Fantastic Beast movies, I notice Newt didn’t fall in love with Tina and Leta’s appearances, but with their hearts and souls. He loved them because they took an interest in magically creatures just like him, and they made an effort to understand him. He does think that they are pretty, there’s no getting around that after the salamander eyes thing, but that’s not what made Newt love them in the first place.
7: Pansexual Fleur- Like Newt, I don’t think Fleur feel for Bill just because of his looks. While his handsome face was definitely what caught her eyes, I believe it was his spirit and personality that truly captured her heart. This is only backed up by the fact that Fleur basically tells everyone after Bill is injured, “I don’t give and d@m about how my husband looks, all I care about is that he is brave and stands up for what is right”.
8: Gay Hugo Granger-Weasley- He literally has no canon content for his personality or interests so that I get to headcannon him whatever the frick I want without any evidence to back it up. But in all seriousness, I think it would be a cute thing to see Hugo being scared to tell the family that me likes boys until Albus comes with a Malfoy boy around his arm, Hugo’s like “well, can’t make a bigger scene than that” and finally comes out to his parents, sister and family. Everyone of course loves home just the same and Hugo and Albus can now bond and gossip about their crushes and dates.
9: Gay Lorcan Scamander- Same reason as Hugo, no cannon content, so he can be anything I want him to be. Unlike Hugo though, Lorcan never had any doubts when it came to his sexuality and how his family would react to it. When he told his family it was without any preamble and everyone was fine with it. Luna would have totally raised her kids to be just as proud of themselves as she was, and it would be no different when it came to their sexualities. Plus, I ship Hugo and Lorcan. No cannon content.
10: Transgender Luis Weasley- As I have said with Hugo and Lorcan, we have little to no cannon content with the next generation. The best we have are what little we got out of JK Rowling and headcannons that all the fans just accept as cannon. So, I have this theory about Luis, Bill and Fleur’s son: what if he was a ftm Transgender. It was stated on his wiki page that Luis is the only know boy descended from a Velia , but what if he wasn’t a boy. What if he was born a girl, but unlike his mother and sisters who were all girly girls, he was more of a tomboy. Then when he went to Hogwarts and was placed in the girls dormitory, he felt wrong and out of place. After a lot of angst and self-louthing that did not go unnoticed by the teachers, McGonagal called Luis into her office and asked him what was wrong. Luis broke down and explained what he was feeling the best he could and eventually the Headmistress said “so you feel like you are in the wrong body?” Luis nods yes to this, “Mr. Weasley, that is far from unusual. Why do you this I turn into a cat? Because it is a comfort form for me, I like being a cat.” “But I like being a boy, Professor. I want to be a boy.” McGonagal thinks, “There is a spell that I can use to transfigurat your body to that of a male, however it will take awhile to prepare, both the spell and you. Your body will go through a change even more dramatic than puberty, I must also discuss this with your parents. It that really what you want?” Luis than nods his head vigorously and McGonagal gives Luis instructions about preparing himself for the transition as and sends a letter off to his parents as well. While Bill and Fleur are surprised at such news, support their child without a second thought and are even there when McGonagal performs the spell. Once Luis sees his new male body, he cries tears of joy and hugs both his parents and Professor for helping to get him to this point. This experience also gives Luis a drive to learn as much as he can about Transfiguration and later becomes Hogwarts’ newest Transfiguration Professor.
Anyway, those are my personal top ten headcannons. Let me know if you have any.
Oh My Fairy Godmother!! I would love to read a full fic of any other these!!!
Love the idea of the Charming siblings doing a Groundhog year and they either try to prevent and/or change things for the better and I love Darling just shamelessly flirting with Apple and sending Apple into a gay panic every five minutes!!! Also, if Dexter starts talking in Monster World slangs to Cupid I'm pretty sure she will just fall harder for him - which I honestly would too. Like no joke, Dexter was my Ever After High crush too I loved that dorky, friendly prince but still super rooted for him and Raven to finally get together!!!
ALSO no joke your Destiny Cycle AU reminded me of the EVER AFTER HIGH fic I am literally writing right now!!
The premise is a little different from what you wrote - the war happened with the kids' parents' generation and now the cast is living in a post-everyone-knows-the-Book-was-fake-and-we-can-chose-our-destinies-world, but of course, Apple still wants her pre-destined story!
Here is the link, feel free to read it and tell me what you think!
Oh my fairy godmother I am so happy you are post about Ever After High!!! Do you have any fanfic or au ideas involving them? Like, what if one character had another destiny or what if they were in the Star Wars universe?! It’s just interesting to think about!
Hey! Glad to see we share another fandom interest!
So, I have this barebones post for what I would have done as a crossover between g1 Monster High and Ever After High.
As for general fanfic ideas I have a few. I shall now list them in varying levels of detail:
1. A Very Charming Groundhog Day Year:
Basically, the Charming siblings time loop back from a bit after Dragon Games but before Epic Winter to the day before the school year started (the day of the Family Ball in the books). While it would be kinda angsty, the best time loop fics are usually crack fics, and this would be no exception (if I ever wrote any of these things).
So Daring, Dexter, and Darling are all initially in states of panic and anxiety. Daring, he was in the middle of a quarter-life crisis and now has to deal with everyone and their fairy godmother thinking he's Apple's Prince Charming.
"Daring Charming, more like Distressed Charming, am I right?"-- Dexter, who should get to exhibit asshole little brother energy more often, as a treat.
Speaking of Dexter, he's panicking cause of all the awful stuff that's going to happen during the school year and also because now he has to go through the nerve-racking ordeal of asking out the girl he likes all over again.
Darling's in hell because everyone and their fairy godmother expect her to be this perfect little damsel, again, which is just- ugh. There are days she wishes she could carry her sword around with her, and they're most days. Also, she never got to talk to Apple about their True Love's CPR, which is just tragic.
The loops go on for a while, some constants in them include: Darling freeing herself and helping little Good-Enough Charming get one of their grandfather's trophies for the scavenger hunt, Dexter and Darling teaming up to kill the changeling and free cousin Charity (sometimes Daring helps but he's content to let his siblings have fun for once), Darling accidentally on purpose flirting with Apple and Apple experiencing several degrees of gay panic, Dexter fumbling asking out Raven for the first time (he's really such a dork, just a funky dude), and the Charming Siblings teaming up to make Milton Grimm's life a living hell.
In one loop they secretly film him playing with his toy unicorns and his action figure of himself and they hijack Blondie's mirrorcast to play it to the entire school.
After several loops a Monster High crossover happens, and so in every loop after that the Charming sibs, who have grown incredibly gremlin-like after experiencing the insanity of the school several dozen times, make sure to drop monster slang when it's just them and Cupid. Like:
Darling: "Wow, Cupid, that top looks clawsome."
Daring: "Totally, it's freaky fierce."
Cupid: "What?!"
Darling: "That top looks nice on you. Anyway, we gotta run."
Dexter: "Yeah, see you later ghoulfriend!"
I have some other half-baked ideas for this one but it'd probably be it's own post.
2. Murdoch Mysteries-ish AU:
This one makes no sense if you've never watched the hit Canadian Detective Show, Murdoch Mysteries. Or maybe it makes some sense, idk. Instead of a modern AU, we have a 1895 detective AU. It's barely an idea, I have no idea if I'd even keep this in the fantasy setting of (an 1895) Ever After or not.
Dexter is the Detective William Murdoch of this AU, the man with no game and beautiful blue eyes who women keep inexplicably falling in love with. He's observant and a little strange but he's also a brilliant detective. One of the major differences though is Dexter is the disowned son of old money parents.
Raven's the Dr. Julia Ogden, the outspoken, independent, and compassionate coroner helping solve cases and being amazing. Her rich, controlling mother doesn't much approve of her life choices but old Mrs. Queen can suck it. Raven and Detective Charming have a clearly mutual attraction but they're both hesitant to act on it cause what's a romance without a good slow-burn.
Hopper's the Constable George Crabtree of this AU. Listen, the everyday George matches Hopper's human side, and writer George matches Hopper's frog side. I will not elaborate, because I really cannot. Just feel the vibes, cause the words aren't coming.
I'm not 100% sure who'd be the Inspector Brackenreid. Part of me kinda wants to make it Professor Badwolf, and then I could make Milton Grimm the asshole commissioner. Coach Gingerbreadman is the Inspector of Station 5, the rivals of Station 4.
Daring is heir to the Charming family fortune. Golden boy, everyone loves him, wants more than anything to be able to talk to his little brother in public, but their parents would disown him as well if he stepped out of line.
Apple is one of Raven's housemates at Sisters boarding house, run by Bella and Brutta Sister. She was once courted by Daring, it was at the point where people were expecting an engagement announcement any day. That's when they suddenly broke it off, with no explanation (the explanation is Daring's in love with another girl and Apple's in love with his sister). Snow White and her husband barely agreed to let her move into the boarding house, I honestly have no clue how Apple managed to pull that off but good for her.
Idk, Darling's a vigilante. She's got the same deductive genius as Dexter, she just doesn't have the same ability to join the police force. Inspector Badwolf is tired of his cops being outdone by the mysterious White Knight (yeah, yeah, I made Darling into Victorian-era Batman). Couldn't the White Knight patrol Station 5's territory? (The answer is no, because Darling really wants to catch a glimpse of her twin and also because Sisters Boarding house is in Station 4's territory and sometimes she likes to secretly crash with her girlfriend).
3. The Destiny Cycle AU (AKA: Ever After High but the Rebel Movement is an actual Rebellion AU):
What it says on the tin. Raven discovers the book is fake before Legacy Day. Her and Dexter, who in this AU is believed to be Ashlynn's future Prince Charming because someone made a good post about the potential dynamics that could cause and I love it, set out to uncover what other secrets those in charge are hiding.
Basically, in this AU Ever After is a dystopia where the Royal Families tied the survival of their dynasties' rule to their stories. Like, magically tied them. The Fates themselves have been bound by the magic of the Destiny Cycle. Ever After's Destiny-bound citizens are forced to repeat the same stories as their ancestors, all because Happily Ever After doesn't include a revolt or the institution of democracy. All stories are repeated as a precaution against anyone figuring out what the ancestors of the Royal Families did.
Taking some inspiration from the SDCC Raven Queen doll's letter from her mother, the Evil Queen discovered the truth about the Destiny Cycle, said "not my kid you bastards", and proceeded to try to break the Cycle's bonds. Her taking over other stories and cursing Wonderland was an attempt to stretch the probability bonds of the Destiny Cycle's magic to the breaking point.
Stuff's gonna go down and basically these kids know time is running out until there's a war, cause the only way to avoid being offered up as a lamb to the slaughter is to overthrow the whole system.
God, I really gotta make this into it's own post as well now. But here's a basic rundown of some stuff I'd include:
Dexter and Raven being young and in love and just all the secret romance feels
Snow White knows about the Destiny Cycle, but Apple absolutely does not know.
Apple being born blonde is a sign that the Evil Queen's schemes loosened the grip of the Destiny Cycle, at least for a moment.
Ashlynn, Hunter, Dexter, and Raven as secret rebel leaders.
The backgrounders will have actual roles dammit! (Looking at you Lawrence Bonecrusher III, aka Orc Boy).
An exploration of artificial Destiny Cycle "True Love" vs. real True Love, featuring Apple, Daring, and Darling.
C.A. Cupid, sent by her godly family to infiltrate Ever After and cure it of the Destiny Cycle, because it's interfering in the domains of the gods.
A unique Monster High crossover idea that I will elaborate on in another post.
These children absolutely end up having to kill someone and it scars them forever.
As for different destinies AUs or Star Wars AUs, I haven't really given them much thought.
I think, in a Star Wars setting (possibly Old Republic?), Raven would be a Jedi padawan descended from a long line of Sith. Instead of Mirror Prison, her mom is dead and her Force Ghost is bound to a giant, mirrorlike piece of kyber crystal. Uh, not 100% sure who her master would be.
Darling would also be a Jedi padawan, and Maid Marian would be her Master. Maid Marian gets into custody battles over this kid with this old Jedi Watchman known only as The White Knight. She'd still have her time-slowing hair flip, in this AU it's just a unique way of activating the Force Slow ability.
yes, absolutely
Eah fandom can we all just agree that we can ship whatever or not anything at all, and learn that it's okay for people to ship a certain ship, and still have a personal opinion regarding certain ships, or have different interpretations of them, and/or about EAH chacters, without harassing anyone for it. Please and thank you:D
Hi, I’m new and this is my first post, yay 😁! Anyway, this is blog is mainly going to be headcannons and fan fiction, and while I like a whole jackpot of different fandoms, there are still a lot more I have to discover and get into. So, give me requests, post questions ask for certain headcannons and fanfics for your favorite characters, if I don’t know them, then it is likely that I will tell you, but will do research on them if you really want a fic on them. I will also post my own content, because I am not anyone’s personal fanfic writer. I hope you all enjoy what I come up with.
Sometimes, I find myself breaking down Kix’s character, turning over his traits, his patterns and behaviors… and more and more I find the personality construed by fandom for Kix to be so wildly jarring from what we do have of Kix.
Kix has, roughly, 17 minutes of screen time across the entirety of TCW, which, when compared to the likes of Fives and Rex, who clock much more screen time than most other clones, this doesn’t seem like a lot—but when you factor in most clones' screen time, we get a lot of Kix, and there’s a lot you can learn about him if you pay attention to the moments he does have on screen.
And to illustrate my point, and because I genuinely love Kix, I’m taking it upon myself to examine what we do have of Kix—both for my own purposes, creatively, and because I also happen to enjoy being neurotically intense about my favorite characters.
From “The Deserter” (S02:10) which is also Kix’s debut episode:
1. Kix speaks with a softer and gentler affliction in his voice compared to other clones (as seen with Jesse, who debuts alongside Kix and contrasts him in being more assertive.) I generally extrapolate this to be reflective of a softness that underscores Kix’s mannerisms. 2. When confronted by Suu, Kix doesn’t react with aggression of defensiveness (even if he’s also escorting an injured Rex and has a rifle pointed at him,) instead he opts to gently, and slowly, explain the situation, (in fact, Suu cuts him off and it is Jesse who has to explain, Jesse, who speaks quickly and in a more assertive manner than Kix did.) Kix’s tone is also likely influenced by caution. 3. The most notable scene in this episode that Kix appears in is when he’s tending to an injured Rex—I say notable because I think it informs much of how Kix treats his patients, even when they’re being uncooperative. Because in this scene, Kix is nothing but gentle an caring towards Rex, even when Rex tries to order Kix into letting him back into the fight despite the nerve damage he’s taken from the shot to his chest. When he pulls rank on Rex it is done so firmly, but kindly, and his face is one of sheepishness. If this scene shows anything, it’s that Kix is patient.
From Kix’s debut episode, what can be described about his character is that he’s much more reserved and gentle in comparison to the much more assertive personality of Jesse—from his mannerisms to the tone of his voice. He will be firm, but he is not unkind. He also shows patience towards his patient, even when said patient is, initially, being uncooperative.
From Umbara (S04:07 - S04:10) which is when Kix gets the most screen time:
1. The first moment of note Kix appears in is when he raises concerns to Rex about the pace Krell has had them marching at, that this pace is taking its toll on the men and they need to rest. Kix raises these concerns respectfully, secondly, Kix is doing his duty as a medic, which, is fundamental to his character, finally, Kix cares about those around him and he does what he can to ensure the welfare of these men. (And also, I think it’s quite telling that Kix doesn’t press the issue after Krell scolds them for it, as noted before, Kix does not have an assertive personality.) 2. When Kix is taking care of an injured clone he’s dragged into cover Kix retains his professionalism and keeps himself together even under stress. Kix comforts his patient instead, and I think it speaks of that gentleness I keep mentioning that Kix says, “You’re gonna be okay, buddy, this’ll ease the pain.” Kix is comforting, and he holds himself together under stress because he has his brothers to take care of. 3. I think it’s also notable that when Torrent is starting to express their distrust in Krell, though you can tell Kix is beginning to get frustrated with the treatment of the men (expressing that with Krell’s plan, casualties will be high,) his comments are not nearly has harsh as those of Tup or Jesse. Once again, Kix is shown to be more reserved, and I see it as him maintaining his professionalism in raising these concerns, even as he is beginning to grow frustrated with this poor treatment. 4. The note of Kix beginning to grow frustrated with the treatment of his brothers will be expanded upon throughout the Umbara arc; especially in light of Kix taking his frustration and horror out on the wildlife of Umbara for feeding on the corpses of his brothers. If I am to extrapolate, those dead clones serve as a reminder to Kix; a remainder that he, more and more, has been unable to properly care for all his injured brothers. These clones are a reminder to Kix of the brothers he could not save. This is the first crack within Kix, due to the stress of Umbara, and I have to emphasis, this is not Kix’s normal pattern of behavior. 5. Continuing the thread of Kix beginning to crack under the pressures of Umbara, there is a moment in Umbara where Kix is tending to an injured clone—one that’s in his arms, and this clone gets shot to death in Kix’s arms. This is directly Kix being unable to save a clone’s life despite being right there, because Umbara is that overwhelming—to such a degree that he’s forced to leave behind the injured in this moment, even if he can save them. And this is another crack in Kix’s composure, because he snaps at Rex, he drops his professionalism and his respect, and even resorts to barbed comments against Rex for ordering him from tending to the injured because Torrent needs Kix alive. This is not Kix’s normal behavior, this is Kix, stressed and crumbling under the weight of Umbara. 6. The last notable scene Kix appears in, and this is the moment where Kix finally breaks under Umbara’s pressure—it’s the moment where he starts haphazardly firing his blaster at the enemy. This is intended to be shocking—because this is not how Kix nominally acts, he’s in immense distress, and it takes Tup pulling him into cover to get him to calm down. Kix holds his composure for so long, and when he does break, he breaks hard. 7. To cap off the Umbara thoughts, though Kix does have more scenes, he is relegated to a background character for the most part—but, I can only imagine what was going through Kix’s head when he had, under the orders of Krell, fired upon other clones, it is completely counter to who he is, both as a person and as a medic, and I imagine it cuts deep—as it did for all clones involved in that moment, but for Kix… some of that hurt I imagine would be coming from how he’s meant to save his brothers lives, he’s the medic… and yet, in that moment, all he did was take theirs.
Umbara shows that Kix—who has been shown to be a respectful, kind, and helpful clone who just earnestly wants to do his duty in providing his brothers with the care he needs—is broken by an inability to help.
From the Chip arc (S06:01 - S06:04):
1. Not much to be said about some of Kix’s first appearances in this arc, as Kix is doing what he does as a medic (and expressing concern for Tup.) But the scene where Tup is in the infirmary, and Kix is confused about what’s wrong with Tup, I do think that Kix being willing to say that he can’t figure out what’s wrong, and that if they want answers, he’ll need to be sent back to Kamino, is indicative of Kix is aware of the limitations in his knowledge and is willing to humble himself. 2. This is more light-hearted scene (at first, anyway,) and is mostly conjecture on my part but I find it too amusing to leave out. That is the scene in which Kix is checking himself out in the mirror at 79’s. I do not think this is indicative of Kix being conceited about his looks—rather, I think it’s indicative of something else entirely in light of how he also talks in this scene. When he realizes someone else walks in, he talks with a deeper tone that I can only describe as Kix trying to present himself as being cool and mysterious. All the while he’s nonchalantly brushing his shoulders off. It’s so funny to me, especially when he realizes it’s Fives who just walked in, and immediately he tone switches to his typical inflection—and his mannerisms return to the typical ones we’ve seen of him. (Yes, I also think Kix had the haircut he does because he tries to present himself as cooler than he actually is, I imagine he grew embarrassed by this insistence given he grows it out later on—Kix is a dork, I said what I said.) 3. And yes, Kix immediately jumping to concern, before offering his help to Fives—even if his duty would insist that he turn Fives in because of the attempted assassination—I think, this is because Kix fixates on Fives’ distress, and he focuses on how to alleviate that stress, so even as it’s clear he’s confused by what Fives has gotten himself into, Kix still offers his help, and gives it freely in getting Fives in direct contact with Anakin and Rex at his behest. It’s a strong moment for his character, and his face when he asks what he can do to help… it’s so earnest. He’s loyal to his brothers.
And finally, there is the Echo arc of season 7, (S07:01 - S07:04):
1. When their gunship gets shot down, Kix is the first to notice that Cody was injured in the wreck and is trapped; I put this down to Kix being attentive and keeping track of the head count of the party he’s with, something done because he is the team medic and he is responsible for the well being of those around him first and foremost. 2. Then there is the scene at the campfire, which, firstly shows the bond Jesse and Kix have given the ease of banter between them and the comfort between them in their interactions. Secondly, I find it interesting how when Wrecker strangles Jesse, while Rex resorts to more direct action (trying to pull Wrecker by his collar,) Kix kind of just hovers, it’s a pretty… non-violent action when Rex and Jesse both jump to the defensive with the batch (Rex, even more directly, later on, when he actually punches Crosshair.) Similarly, even when Crosshair shoves Kix away, Kix shoves back before getting stuck in a headlock, and even after getting out of the headlock, at most he puts his hands on Crosshair to keep shoving him away. Generally, Kix is a lot less confrontational compared to either Jesse and Rex are in regards to the batch—which, circles around to my point of Kix not being as assertive, neither will he be overly aggressive towards allies. (This may be extrapolated as Kix refusing to take more direction action against another clone, given Umbara. But, that’s just extrapolation; a theory, a musing on motives.) 3. (Also yes I am aware that Kix makes jabs about the batch and I mostly construe this to be that Kix can be judgmental about others he’s skeptical of them, I have my reasons as to why I’m not putting a lot of weight on this but it’s tied to a critique of the arc’s writing, which is not what this is about.)
In summation, Kix is shown, repeatedly, to be someone whose kind and helpful—what matters most to him is the care and well being of his brothers. He’s earnest in that care, and he’s got a softness that underscores a lot of his mannerisms and speech. He does his best to hold himself together for the sake of his brothers. He gets frustrated and breaks down in the face of mounting casualties and an inability to help his brothers. He’s respectful and professional in how he conducts himself as a medic, and even if he pulls rank, he’s firm but kind about it—he expresses patience in how he handles those under his care. Additionally, and in my own conjecture of his character, Kix tries to present himself as cooler than he actually is, suggesting a level of dorky insecurity to him. He’s also shown to lash out and make barbed comments when he’s incredibly stressed, and Kix carries judgment towards others when he’s skeptical of them.
What Kix is not is a hard ass medic whose sick of everyone’s shit, who berates and scolds his patients relentlessly—complaining about how they make his job harder. He is not quick to anger nor does he easily take his frustrations out on those around him—especially those under his care. He does not constantly throw his rank around to get those under his care to do what he wants.
It is a far cry from Kix’s character, and I think it’s a damn shame Kix’s actual character gets ignored in favor in fanon, because honestly, Kix as he is in canon is incredibly interesting—carrying a host of traits that can be explored and examined in their own right.
(Also, in quick references, I’ve narrowed down two videos that compiled Kix’s screen time across TCW, this one which clocks at ~14 minutes, and the second one with clocks in at ~17 minutes.)
Once my friend Henry was accused of wearing wireless headphones by a substitute so she said for him to hand them over so he took them off and handed them to her.
