Bad Machinery bottomless archive

I posted this up on Twitter yesterday, but in case you missed it, I’m testing a “lazy scroll” version of the Bad Machinery archive. I feel like clicking through an archive is a bit 2001. This is very much an early version, barely integrated into the site, but you can have a go if you want. The link at the top lets you jump into the archive wherever you like. 

Something like this presents a lot of new navigational issues that I will have to find time to work through, and it pretty much flattens the pageviews on the site which are important for ad revenue, but I think it’s a nice way to read my archive. Opinions are welcome.

アートツールソフトをテスト使用したときに ネタとしてヴィッキーを描いたのですが、なんだかこのまま放っておくのが申し訳ない気がしたので 自分なりに書き直したものです。

なんで今更  ヴィッキーなの？ と思われる人もいるかもしれません。実はつい最近まで 私は  “Oops! フェアリー ペアレンツ” を視聴した事が無かったのです。

今月から Windowsストアで USのコンテンツを日本側で決済できるようになったので、映画＆テレビ ストアから “Oh Yeah! Cartoons!” を3シーズン丸ごと購入した事が切っ掛けです。どの作品も面白かったのですが、その中でも ”The Fairly OddParents”は抜群の完成度を誇っていると感じました。それが 日本語版“Oops! フェアリー ペアレンツ”を観る切っ掛けになったのです。

ヴィッキーはヴィランです。それも相当 達が悪い部類に入ると思います。小さい子供が相手でもヴィッキーは容赦しません。親達に自分の行いがばれないよう、 常に策を講じています。しかし、ティミーは親に告げ口しません。彼女が家に来なくなれば 妖精達が ティミーの側に居る理由が無くなるからです。この共生関係はリアルすぎて 少し怖いくらいです。

色々と容赦ないヴィッキーのことを 何故か私は憎めないのです。むしろ、非常に魅力的なキャラクターに見えます。現在のように規制が厳しくなった今では登場させるだけでも難しいと思います。でも、彼女のことが気になります。彼女があれほど邪悪な理由が エピソードの何処かに描写されているはずです。

彼女の行動原理を詳しく知るには エピソード全てに目を通す必要が有ります。しかし、日本でそれを行うことは 現在において不可能です。

Nickelodeon チャンネルは、日本で 1998年11月 「ニッケル・オデオン」という名で開局、2009年9月30日に チャンネル放送を終了しました。

“Oops! フェアリー ペアレンツ”（The Fairly OddParents） は、現在のところ日本のディズニー チャンネルと Netflixで シーズン3の途中まで視聴できます。
