intersex bodies are just as natural and regular as perisex bodies, the only difference is that perisex bodies are more common. being intersex is not a birth defect in the same way being a perisex woman is not a birth defect. nothing broke, nothing is "wrong" with us, we are just less common.

being a perisex woman or a perisex man isn't a medical condition and neither is being intersex. when our intersex conditions cause other health complications it is not because we are intersex, it is because of a medical condition associated with being intersex.

a person with a uterus who has endometriosis isn't experiencing a symptom of having a uterus they are experiencing endometriosis.

intersex bodies are heavily medicalized. they are treated as problems that need to be solved, but being intersex isn't a medical condition. we don't need to be diagnosed and forced through "treatment" to make us as close to perisex as possible, we need support, awareness, and acceptance.

tldr; intersex bodies are just as natural as perisex bodies. intersex existence needs to stop being medicalized

EIGHTEEN elementary school aged children are gone. 18 sets of parents will never see their kids again, 18 families destroyed. I’m so fucking sick of the NRA pretending like their funded legislation is saving lives.

Anyone who says that this is why we need more guns needs to reconcile themselves with the fact that they too, are okay with little kids being murdered; literally nothing else but stringent gun control is gonna stop this. Columbine wasn’t enough, sandy hook wasn’t enough, parkland wasn’t enough, oxford wasn’t enough and neither will this be.

How can pro gun law supporters reconcile their humanity with these beliefs? there’s more than ample proof that the NRA funded pro gun legislation has done absolutely nothing to curb homicides, but on the contrary increased them.

You’re making deadly weapons accessible to teenagers whose brains aren’t done fully forming. who, in the heat of their emotions, might commit irreparable damage - we don’t let kids DRINK until 21, yet you’re arguing that they have the mental faculties to handle a literal weapon?

Legislators keep complaining about how hard it is to gain bipartisan support, but how hard can it be to gain support for basic humanity? You have been elected to do this arduous task, sworn in to serve the people you represent.

The people you represent don't want bodies riddled with bullet holes, they want their loved ones to come home at the end of the day. And if you believe that staying in power with the aid of death-mongers like Wayne LaPierre and the National Rifle Association is more important than innocent lives, then I hope you remember that you are replacable. The dead are not replacable, but you are.

So do your fucking jobs, or get the fuck out.

As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.

It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.

Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.

Since the SCOTUS doesn't think you have the right to hear this, please boost the hell out of the Miranda Warning.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you at government expense.

If someone knows other languages and can translate this, that would be wonderful because cops are no longer obligated to tell people their rights. This puts everyone but cops at risk. Let's make sure everyone on Tumblr knows.

So with everyone abuzz about the Britney Trial, and appalled and shocked and horrified at what she has had to go through, I want to take the time to state that this is commonplace and a very real threat for neurodivergent folks of all stripes. If you have a paper diagnosis of something it can and will be used against you by abusers. If you are disabled and/or neurodivergent you are owned in the eyes of the law and society by the people you depend on. This obviously and predictably creates situations where abuse is prevalent.

What Britney revealed in this trial did not shock me at all because this is the reality of many many people. This is the threat that hangs over people like me if we dont conform and burn out to please an arbitrary standard of normal and don't lie like hell to doctors.

At any moment if my mother felt like it, she could simply take my autonomy away legally because I can't live alone. If I didn't censure myself all of the time around certain people regarding neurodivergence, I could end up in a similar position because a doctor decided I was too crazy to have rights, and unlike Brittney, there is no mass movement for justice for us common people.

I want everyone to realize that what Britney has said is commonplace for people deemed 'too crazy to function' and disabled people in general. We are abused at startlingly high rates by our caregivers (parents, doctors, etc), society thinks that our rights should be taken away for our own good. I want people to extend the horror and desire to see change to the rest of us who arent high profile and use that horror to enact real change.

Not just hashtag freebritney, but push to pass laws to protect the autonomy and freedoms of those of us who are effected by conservatorships, institutionalization, and general stamping on of the rights of neurodivergent and disabled folks in every area of our lives.

The stories coming out about the absolutely useless cops that were at the scene of the shooting is proof that those billions of dollars given to the police are to protect themselves and not the people. They want to be deemed heroes, but are disgusting cowards who shit their pants when confronted with the task of doing exactly what they signed up for. So cop lovers save me the “not all cops are the same” rhetoric because when you see how cops turned their cowardly backs on the hopeless children who were being murdered inside their classrooms and handcuffed parents who were desperately trying to save their children we saw first hand that they don’t value human life.
