She was always a kind girl. Very headstrong as well. She lived in Hurricane for as long as she can remember. She had a loving family overall, but her sister passed away in a school shooting when she was in 6th grade. They were close, so that hurt her badly. She learned to move on eventually, with the help of her parents.

She met Clay Burke at school one day. They became friends quickly. He knew about her loss and always tries to comfort her whenever she thought about it. He wanted to be a law enforcer to prevent this kinda stuff from happening. Then they met William. They were the only good things in their life at the time.

They were the BEST FRIEND SQUAD. Although Roselle started to develop some feelings for William. Clay would always tease her for it.

Eventually they get together in high school, and get married years later.

They couldn’t move on after he died. So they tried to stay as far away from him as possible. I think it’s worth mentioning that Cassidy was the oldest at the time, and they just followed her word. But then Susie goes to talk to him, she wanted to learn why he did the things he did. She didn’t really believe he killed out of sheer joy like Cassidy says. She then learns he isn’t as bad as she first thought. They others warm up to him eventually as well. They see him as a second father.

Yeah! When ever a scroll through tumblr or Ao3 William is always portrayed as the cliche villain that ruins everything for no reason. I got tired of that. Also, fun fact, he chooses to wear a similar outfit to his father’s, as a way to remember him. He uses an illusion disk to look more human, but he’s still got some scars here and there. That’s why he wears gloves.
