In an arc allegedly all about the Midoraka relationship (they’re on the same team and all), looking beneath the surface helps reveal just why so many fans feel that Bakugou is Midoriya’s soulmate and true life partner - or at least that Uraraka may not be the right partner for him. This is indeed the part of the story where a few troubling underlying aspects of Midoriya and Uraraka’s dynamic start to become obvious, especially when contrasted against Deku’s dynamic with Kacchan. Spoilers through 217.
