Fun fact: this cute little caterpillar is a damn liar! It's a pseudo-caterpillar. It's actually a lavra of this ugly-ass bug called sawfly:

They are relatively harmless even tho they eat only birch leaves, which could damage birch forests if these flies get to overpopulate.
