There definitely seems to be a lot of interest in keeping track of challenges that don't follow my arbitrary rules of monthly-prompt-a-day-multifandom-challenges, so...
How about this everyone? For now, I'm not going to add anything that doesn't fit those requirements to my active/inactive challenges lists, but shout outs are absolutely welcome and I might reblog things from different sorts of challenges now and then. I'll tag those things #not monthly, so people can search for them easily once the blog gets a little bigger.
On that note, shout out to @12daysofchristmas (prompts are up for Dec 13-24, 2024), @the-whumpers-soiree (a whump event without a timeline), @novella-november (a word count challenge without prompts), and @novlr (which also has a November word count challenge).

This blog is an attempt to collate and collect all the monthly writing challenges posted here on tumblr - it is not an attempt to take credit for any of these challenges! Please follow the actual blogs of the challenges you're interested in participating in and check out their individual prompt challenge rules!!
There are many, many more writing prompts out there than these monthly challenges, if you're looking (daily prompts, weekly prompts, fandom specific challenges, etc.). This blog is for monthly prompts only, with prompts given for each day of the month (for now, unless there's a lot of interest in something else?).
