I'm Going To One Of The Most Prestigious Schools In My Country. I Don't Want To Go There Because I Like

I'm going to one of the most prestigious schools in my country. I don't want to go there because I like the studies or because I'll be well paid when I leave. Not just because there's a ball where you can carry a real sword (need I ask for a better reason?).

I've come to the conclusion, Regulus likes Cigarettes After Sex and Sirius like cigarettes after sex. Thank you for agreeing because of course there is no lie said.

When We All Scroll Through Tumblr Pinterest Instagram Etc We All See Tidy Desks, Beautifully Written

When we all scroll through Tumblr pinterest Instagram etc we all see tidy desks, beautifully written lessons, revision sessions in nice cafes. But can we show the chaos that revision often represents? While romanticising our studies is enjoyable and can even be motivating, it's important to remember that most people don't work like that and still succeed. So here's my revision chaos 4 days before the start of my exams: binders everywhere, even on the floor, barely legible sheets of rough paper and my flat untidy due to lack of time. Yes, the greatest difficulty in studying is the lack of time, so don't focus on the aesthetics of your lessons, but above all on understanding them and making them interesting.

I'll never get over the feeling of reading a sentence that exactly describes something you've experienced but can't express. The fullness felt, the often suppressed emotions that emerge thanks to a few words arranged in the right way. To feel seen even if it's just you and a book.

The Black brothers.

narratives about doomed love that aren’t romantic in nature. the love between siblings who understand each other the most but are growing apart no matter how much they try to come back to one another. the love between friends whose life paths pull them apart and they never see each other again, only remembering the face of a once kind childhood. the love for a hometown that year by year becomes less and less the one that raised you until you are a foreigner in your own backyard. there was no stopping it. the love was there and it mattered and you can never come back again.

Remember when I said in high school that I wanted to do a difficult degree to push my limits? I take back everything I said, let me sleep and have a social life.

You'd think after watching Dead Poet Society three times and knowing almost all of the dialogue, I wouldn't cry watching it a fourth time. Daring of you to assume that, I literally cried for an hour...

On the booktok there is this huge thing of "don't damage the books". And the whole "never break your spine" "no dog-eared page" thing pisses me off so much. Since I was a child I learned that the more the book is damaged the more we like it. And reading old books, I saw which page was read again and again. I want to see that the book had gone to the beach even if that means the page is crumpled. Books are literally a part of our lives, so it's only normal for them to look worn down from life.

I specifically remember this book when I was 8yo , Inkeart where the main character Meggie talk a lot about this and I think it has greatly influenced my way of being a reader (since I read this book I always keep my reading of the moment under my pillow)

Am I the only one who always reads three books at the same time?

I have the one that makes me think and that I can tell people about so they think I'm smart. Another for fun. And the last is the fanfiction that helps me sleep at night and that I'll never tell anyone I read.

So I’ve just finished to watch red white and royal blue and honestly I didn’t have much expectation but that was great !

I was literally giggling and kicking the whole thing because of my joy seeing Henry and Alex on screen. First of all,Alex actor was perfect. The first part of the film was so fun and gave a feeling close to when I was reading the book. The cake scene, the hospital scene etc… But, I expected it, when the love story started I was so disappointed that all the side stories were erased. The story of Béatrice, Alex freaking out about being bi (as a bi person it really matters to me), the personality of Nora, Raphaël and of course June (seeing Alex being an only child was heartbreaking). Most importantly, I missed the whole group of friends (and the kimono in the karaoke scene) that I think was so important to Henry's development. And I wanted a few little details like the quotes from Remus Lupin but it's just that I wanted an unrealistic 5 hour movie for this book. So yes the story had lost a lot of depth but again it was expected. Except, the romance was cute and touching and I'm definitely going to see it again (I have to reread the book first )
